Hi everyone! So, I was throwing around the idea (mostly with myself, it's a boring game) of eventually bringing in one or two members of Seithfed's family. If there is any immediate interest, it will definitely be possible to work around the Italian Intrigues SL to bring these characters into Skye without very, very bad things happening to them. If not, it opens the door for a future SL to plot for, which like a rolling snowball, has the potential to get cartoonishly big.
His immediately family has mostly met untimely ends, but he still has one or two older brothers around.
The Brothers
Unfortunately, the brothers are on average much older than most of the menfolk played in Skye, but I think they're interesting, so I'm offering them up.
Meurig, Abbot of Neath, is someone I view as a slightly younger version of Brother Cadfael. He is the eldest surviving son at age 43.
Llewelyn (Lew) is an empty slate at 39 -- which, of course, makes his mother proud. Bitter? Happy? Honorable? Reluctant lord? I have pages of back story to help anyone willing to develop this brother.
The Cousins
The historical Llywelyn Bren had eight other siblings. The potential for cousins is enormous. Welsh genealogy is confusing at best, but I doubt anyone is as persnickety as I am about this stuff. Men and women of this family have a wonderful penchant for raising armies and rebelling against their lords in most interesting ways, including Gwenllian ferch Gruffydd. Her story is very interesting family lore, and definitely raises the bar for SL potential.
So, please, if you want more information, or if you definitely would like to contribute to the SL in any way, shape, or form, please IM or e-mail! If I'm not on sovereignpromise, I'm usually on rosalindavalle and would love to hear from you.
