Aslan Burning: The days had come and gone too quickly, but as the sun rose high in the sky Maahes took his family home. A visit to their home would be good for them all-- Especially Ealora. Maahes knew his wife missed the sea as much as she missed her home, and as they spent some time upon her ship the Beast only wanted to remind her of home. It was all he wanted to give her, this feeling of security, love, and home. She belonged to the sea, this he would never dare tempt to fate, but he as well wanted her to belong to the earth. Pulling up the gates, it seemed so surreal; like a dream lost in the morning mist. The land was quiet, frozen still but most of all heaven. The temple rose high, it's pointed tops piercing through the trees he could not help but feel at ease. His bed, their bed, big bed Maahes would be the first to admit he hated to sleep in the townhouse. He had grown too comforted by the silence and serenity of the valley, and it's hidden love nest. (d
The Wind an Mist: The solace of the sea had been hard to leave not only because the rolls and smells were something that flowed in her veins as much as blood did but because she had time to spend with her husband. The crew did their work, ignoring the couple and not that they appeared much from the confines of the Captains Quarters. Eventually though they had had to return to Turas Lan and the townhouse. The place while fully furnished, just wasn't home but she had mentally promised to endure. It was going to be the place to occupy while he was at war and she would make it more like home though it would never dull Red Wall. So when Maahes suggested an outting for them, as a family, she was only to happy to agree and when the cart...yes she still hated the damn thing but with a growing belly, she could no longer ride a horse for fear of harming their child within her, rolled into Red Wall, the grin spread across her lips. AH HOME! Her soul immediately screamed and fell to a peaceful silence. Peace. That was one thing Red Wall always promised for them. As the cart pulled to a stop, she set Eppie upon the ground before wiggling off the seat herself. Ow her butt ached! "Now this..is the perfect place for a family outting." Celadon eyes twinkled with silent laughter as she turned her attention to him, offering her hand out to him to draw him near.*
Aslan Burning: Well upon the road to recovery Maahes made little to do with the wounds that were deep under the thick fabric of his attire. However, he was quiet, distant, deep in thought. There wasn't any sign of remorse or sadness..just thinking and even when Eppie bound for the door he watched with a small smile. "It feels so strange to know this is an outing, and that Turas Lan is home now." He spoke as he positioned the reins and took her hand as he found his feet. The house had been vacant, and he worried first of his family after the horse was released from the cart to be handed then into the corral. A fire would need be lit in the pits that filled each room. However, it would not take long bring life back to a slumbering god. Eppie flew down the halls to her room as she did every time to gather more of her toys, and in the same right so did he. Moving down the halls to check each room, it was hard to see their life 'sleeping' Dust was starting to collect upon the decor, and the heavy sheets were pulled over much of their furniture. However, it was the bed that drew his heart. Their peace, where their baby was conceived, where he held his wife and most of all healed his heart. The bed clothes Jelenah and Balian gave them for wedding had been perfectly fluffed and made--waiting for them to come and mess them back up. Nora even hung the curtains over the windows. However, was quick to cross the distance and tie back the one that hid her ship. (d
The Wind an Mist: Her fingers curled within his own, raising his hand to her lips to press a gentle kiss as she followed after Eppie into the house. A small mousy noise left her throat at the look of the place. Perfectly preserved of course with sheets but what had not been covered, a soft sheen of dust and it annoyed her to no end. Releasing his hand, her fingers caressed at her belly to keep from wiping the dust off with her bear hand. This was as bad as him tracking mud into the hallway! It was also a reminder that they had been away for far to long. It had been a wonderful idea to come back here, to spend the day, to collect some things to take back to town but now she did not want to leave. Her head tilted, to look further down the hall, leaning an ear to the wind to hear Eppie playing within her room, moving around and no doubt trying to find a way to bring ALL of her toys with her. Each one was precious to the little girl and rightly so. She had lost so much, still perhaps waiting for someone to take her away from her new parents and her new toys. Turning, she moved towards the bedroom and grinned as he pulled back the curtain over the stained glass portrait of her ship. For a moment she watched him, transfixed even though all he had been doing was standing there. Gliding across the room, she turned and lowered to press her bottom against the edge of the bed. Ah soft cushion to her bottom and ease to her feet which swelled easily now when standing for to long. The joys of pregnancy. "I missed this room..." She let out a laugh as her lips curled into a grin. "I miss this place, this place, holds magic for me, then any other place in the world. Well...except Egypt."Celadon eyes found his own, tilting as she cupped her belly. "I'll pay you all the gold I have just to know what your thinking right now.."*
Aslan Burning: He was very idle, letting hands run over surface as if checking to make sure it was real as he moved over the room. Maahes was such an odd soul, and as his broad chest rose with a heavy breath he released it with a small smile. "That this is the feeling I have wanted all my life." Rolling back his shoulders he was before and slipping from his shoes only to crawl into the deep confines of his heaven. "Come here." He grinned pulling her in even her..bigger state with ease and pulled the covers up around them. Thick arms kept her cased in the pillows having doubled since they were gone, it seemed all the feathers from the Yule feast went to good use. "Eppie!" Maahes called out, his voice booming down the hall, and soon little feet came bounding. Her bright eyes waited as if saying 'you rang' and he would motion for her to join them. She was hesitant at first, fighting it, but her eyes were heavy and she quickly climbed up to wiggle between them. (d
The Wind an Mist: "You know, maybe we should think about moving back in. Perhaps double the guard around the gates. We've had few, if any troubles here and to many to count in the city. We seem to fight more in the city, did you notice that?" Though she let out a laugh as he dragged her back and under the covers, rolling to her side to face him. She winced as his voice boomed but turned her head against the plush pillows as Eppie little feet pounded the ground. Patting the bed as the little girl hesitated, she couldn't help but laugh as the little one finally pounced the bed. An arm curled around her to roll her between the two of them. Her head dipped to kiss her head. "We love you little princess." She whispered down to Eppie as her little lids blinked slowly, fighting the sleep that was clearly winning. Her hand lifted from caressing the little girls back to rest against Maahes cheek. 'I love you' she mouthed as to not wake Eppie who had within a few minutes, lost the battle to sleep completely.*
Aslan Burning: Brushing back his wife's hair as she left him he kept a hold upon the child. He knew she held that fear as well, that her life would be left to ruin one more, but there was hope she would realize what Ealora by now must know. He would fight for them until their wasn't anything left to lift. However, even then he knew his soul would keep them safe and see to it the afterlife would be no different. Snaking his arm under the crook of her neck he stretched it out and his free arm curved over all three, heavy fingers resting against the baby that waited inside. No words would be needed, as the love he returned for her spoke from the warm amber of his eyes. (d
