Apollo The morning had come with a cool breeze from the east, favoring a winterish chill that seemed to dive through the flesh and to the bone. Skye, was a reasonably lighter climate than Avaira-- lighter skies (though still cloudy), and the air was breathable. Avarians had a natural immunity to the constantly wet enviromanet of their homeland, making their lungs that much more stronger.. and immune systems tough.-- Apollo found that the air was much more breathable, and he liked to breath.. among other things which kept him alive. The normally jovial looking husband, father, warrior, old King and General had found a seat within the room of a sleeping Eirian. She had not known he'd arrived, nor had her assistants or maids. he'd invited himself to her chambers and watched her sleep. It was hard knowing whether or not he was mad. If he was, he failed to give any sort of semblance via expression for it. Thoughtful blue eyes just remained settled on her sleeping frame, and thumbs rotated amongst themselves.. passing time as patiently as Apollo was notorious for.(d)
Eirian The early dawn was quiet. Mists seemed to caress the people instead of bind them in to a view of an almost eerie yellow earth; the colors of morning with blushed pinks and the dark of nnight were near to subsiding with a retreat that the General could see. On his wife's pale skin, he could watch them paint her as if she were no more than a canvas waiting for color. The baby lay in a beautiful bed in the shape of a fairy bower, suspended from the rafters to sway gently to the rhythm of her dreams. What was his thought? Was it that this peaceful, gentle woman had gone mad herself by entangling her hands inside of traps that could kill her? What do you say, when the angel one weds to give them peace gives others a mercy that might come at the end of swords when it comes time to defed it? Eirian would have screamed at the figure watching her at a distance if her eyes didn't take in his countenance first. It was near winter, and that season often made her head keep a dull ache and her sight go to a little less than perfect. "Talion.." she whispered, scooting over in bed and inviting him to join her.."When did you come in.." (d)
Apollo Talion rose without so much a sound. His frame was large and more or less intimidating for those who weren't usd to his jovial nature. His hands had wrought wars and wielded swords and axes; quarreling things for various reasons that were as fickle as the weather-- or Kuriel's mind. When he stepped into the light, she saw his face and the lines of concern that had taken the place of that blank expression he wore prior to her waking up to receive him. He had no answer for her, only shook his head as his lips formed a deep frown. ``What are you doing?`` He said, bluntly.. not thinking of his tone or how he asked; he was a General before a husband.. and his bluntness often came before actual thought-- but Apollo was far from stupid; he favored being brash. He closed the distance to her and knelt by the bed where he stared directly in her eyes from his position, studying her face.(d)
Eirian When he knelt at her side she smoothed the hair back from his eyes and read the lines of concern like the pages of the texts that stained the tips of her fingers with ink. "Waging a war with my mind." The reply was precise, exact. Still, a wife she was before all other things so she kissed the General's forehead. (d)
Apollo He accepted the kiss, the tip of his forehead turning a slight red as she pulled back to study him again. He remained silent, unsure of how to exactly place this precise answer, but he studied her regardless. He was without his boots, left them at the door. He stepped up into the bed and laid next to her, collecting her within his powerful arms. ``What war would my wife fight without me by her side?`` He returned the kiss against her forehead.(d)
Eirian"You are never without me, nor I without you. My posistion bids me here from time to time..but the resources that I can find here, to return back home to Avaria are preciseless." She breathed soft as his lips pressed against her brow, her arms encasing him in her love. "I've missed you, my love. Do not be cross with me, please." The next saluation came to rest against his mouth itself, a warm, sweet kiss (d)
Apollo The kiss was weathered and returned, and he decided it best he trust her judgement with the supplies or inventory she claimed she needed from Skye. Skye may have been safer than Avaria, but there was always a present danger when the Steward had people to his beckoned call.-- Talion visibly relaxed, easing into Eirian and came under the covers. He was cold to her touch but still just as comforting. A weathered hand came to stroke the side of her face gently and tuck the hair from her face. She could tell hiseyes were heavy from the travel, and his wits weary as he put no argument to her being here.. just accepted it and moved on. (d)
Eirian "You are the heart of me, Talion Apollius. The sunrise and sunset. ..come..rest."At least while they were here he, too, could find some peace. A much needed peace where he could follow the night if it called him. Lay in the woods, see the fields harvested and crumble earth under his fingers with no worry his blood would soak in to it. "Hope saw one of your arrow's feather tips and began to seek you out instantly just last eve. She knows you." (d)
Apollo ``She loves you and me.`` He replied, brushing a finger into her hair. ``It feels so good to hold you again. Been awhile, I think.`` He eased against her and the pillow, and left her to caress or cling until she could no longer.-- Behind him, Hope began to stir, and get feisty and testy with a few complaints.(d)
Eirian "With all of her heart. There will be no other daughter in Avaria as devoted to her father," she foretold with a chuckle, tucking strands of loose hair behind his ears so he could see. While the baby fidgeted, sleep still wanted her so she wared with that while her parents held one another. "Poor small one, she is still very tired. You look just as tired yourself, Talion."(d)
Apollo``I will manage.`` He replied. He was not new to coming to terms with not sleeping. Some Campaigns had him up for days on end with no sleep.. just food and ale. He looked to her and offered a smirk. ``I could use some loving too; but. I suppose it can wait until we've eaten and gotten our day on. Are you planning on returning with me?``(d)
Eirian "Love shall not wait.." She pulled him in to a nother kiss with a soft smile, "Let us sojourn here awhile. I sense that the news we will hear shall be of interest to us, and within a few days time I will go back with you, together." She nuzzled him. "I will make you a prolific breakfast. The harvest in the valley was still very good despite things." (d)
