Aislin Creed- Staying by a sick victim's side was nothing new for Aislin, for when there were extreme cases such as this, she took all matters seriously. Aislin did not sleep for a long time, staying awake well into the first morning and late evening. She had no need to sleep unlike others. Perhaps in some small way it was because she was stubborn like her husband. Eamonn had been aware of where she was and since she was safe within the castle walls, he was not acting like a bull through the streets. By the second morning, she was finding it harder to stay awake. The baby inside her was taking it's toll on it's mother, having had food often and now wishing she would sleep. Maahes was stable, but not out of the woods so to speak yet. To keep herself awake, she stood and looked to Anulia and Malick. ``Ah need to move about. Ah will go check on the others and be back. If anything happens, come get me at once aye?`` Looking to Maahes one last time, she lift the room.
Anulia of Amora- Anulia was thankful for the company of Aislin, though the woman never said much to her. While they had a common friend, neither seemed to speak much. There was a time, when Anulia had first come to the islands that Aislin had to watch out for her and had treated her a bit like a child with her scolding. It was the past, but now she wondered if the woman always saw her as such. A annoying child in a sense. Anulia of course was in no way like one, but she had been less then good with words or the meaning of things having washed up on a land she did not know, so she had to start over from scratch. She said nothing as the woman left the room and moved the cloth from Maahes' forehead to dip it in the cool water, twist it to get the extra water out and then placed it back to his forehead. She had slept, but for short periods of time with her head leaning against his bed. Aislin had questioned her loyalty, but Anulia simply told her it was unexplainable and the woman left it at that.
Danae Galanos- Danae had been beside herself really since things had happened. Aman-ud-Din had tended to her so that Aislin could focus on Maahes. Danae was glad of that and now since she was able to move about freely. Danae would make it appoint to go and see Maahes today since the day before she was busy seeing to other things carried out like that of their encampment. The Grecian warrior did good when it came time to mask her feelings and concern for the man, putting on that stoic face at all times when around others, but once by herself it was something different. The dark haired woman had already had her bath for the evening, saw to the stitches as Aislin instructed and then the shrapnel wounds as Aman-ud-Din had instructed. Once all that was done, clean clothes and sandals upon her feet she made way for Maahes' room. The Commander bringing with her something he cherished and hoping it would help in some sort of way, even if in the smallest bit. She took a deep breath as she reached his door, balled hand let knuckles meet the wood as she knocked a few times to gain entry. -d-
General Maahes- His breath was ragged and forced between thick full lips. His chest would rise and fall in heavy full rhythms almost as if someone's hands pushed against his flesh. The fever had broke early in the morning and now he simply slept; dreams filling his visions and floating one by one like stars in the sky. He could hear the voices around him but could not wake, he could feel the flesh against his but could not reach back. Maahes was wanting to join them, to not be alone any longer in a world he could not escape, but for now his mind would just simply remain where it was. (d
Aislin Creed- In part, Aislin was using this time to heal her own wound. Her arm had been cared for by herself between caring for Maahes, for the woman did not trust other healers and rightfully so. Her husband and sister-in-law had been poisoned before by carelessness or intentional actions. Stopping Malick in front of the door to one of the many bedrooms, she spoke in low tones to her large guardian, telling him she needed to rest and to come get her here should anyone have need of her. She wanted to check on the others, but her body was fading fast and both her and the unborn child needed rest. Her jaw hurt and Malick had told her that a bruise had formed already and looked angry. She knew such, she could feel it burning and tight. Moving into the room, she laid down upon the bed and closed her eyes while Malick stayed watch outside, placing his massive frame in front of the door and crossing his large arms over his muscular chest. When the dark haired woman came down the hall, his brown eyes followed her for a moment and then went ahead to stare at nothing.
Anulia of Amora- Anulia sighed softly as one hand moved her fingers to stroke up and down Maahes' muscular arm just to touch that hairless and firm skin before reaching lower to close her smaller hand over as much as his larger one that she could. The sound of the rapping upon the door made chocolate eyes drift up. ``Enter`` She had no right to ignore anyone, nor turn people away as Aislin had. Anulia, was still low class, even here. Still, when the door opened and showed a woman with skin much like Aman-ud-Din's, one narrow brow rose, before she smoothed her face out. ``Evening. ``
Danae Galanos- Danae stood waiting and when a voice was heard telling her to enter, hand gripped the handle and pushed the door open. Icey pale blue hues lifted from the floor and peered in as head and then body entered. A hand clutched the object she brought with her as the other pushed the door closed behind her. When she turn to face forward again, her eyes settled on the massive form that lay so still in the bed. Her face was stoic but she was fighting back the emotion that began to come with seeing such a sight. Full lips grew thin and disappeared as they were tucked inward, only to be released a moment later. If anything gave away the feelings she felt right now, it would only be the hard swallow in her throat. Finally eyes moved to the woman at his side and gaze shifted from her face to the woman's hand in his. Eyes met the woman's but no harsh look was given and Danae spoke. "Good evening..."She said. "I am Danae... the Commander." Not sure if that would help the woman identify her or not. Danae had yet to take another step forward. "How is he?" She asked before finally taking steps to the oppisite side of the dark skinned woman.
Peregrin- She had not even noticed he was there as the sun rose over the day he would leave. In and out of her sleep he would dare not wake her, but when the night fell he could not help but feel the need to be near her once again. It was hard to not to be able to just walk right in; slipping from shadow to shadow in an attempt not to be caught. Quickly the pirate had become a master ledge climber and moved his body in silent like a cat on the prowl--stalking it's prey. Wall to wall, and window to window he slowly made his way up. (d
Anulia of Amora- Anulia's emotions were as stable as Maahes' breathing for she had nearly two nights to cry and be sad with such a sight. Now, it was all drained from her and waiting was her only option. Her hand rested on Maahes, seeing no reason to remove it just because someone else was entering. A lovely looking woman, who's shoulders were broad and features were exotic. Anulia's chocolate eyes met with those icey blues that were like Aislin's and yet, more the color of the bright sky. The way her hair laid and it's texture was taken in, as well as the dress of the woman and her features reactions upon seeing Maahes in the bed. He took up most of it or Anulia may have slept by his side when she grew tired. ``I am Anulia. I am sorry, I do not really have a title.`` Ten years had passed since she last saw Maahes, so she could no longer claim to be his mate, or the woman under his claim in any way. She was a simple tender here and friends to others, but nothing as grand a title as that.``He is stable, but there are still dangers. Please, come in. You may take the seat by his other side if you wish.`` It may have been rude to stay, but she made a promise even if the request was in the heat of a fever. Anulia did not break her promises.
Danae Galanos- Danae nodded and began to move again, taking to the other side of Maahes' form. She listened as the woman spoke and listened carefully. Danae watched his chest rise and fall, eyes then moving down along the rest of his form and back to his face. She looked up again and offered a very small smile, not from being rude, but seeing Maahes like this was killing her. "It is nice to meet you Anulia, though I wish it could be under better circumstances." She said. "There is no need to apologies for not having any title to follow your name. It is only a title..." Finally Danae's hand would reach for his free one, lifting his arm some and sliding the object she brought between forearm and his body. Letting his finger lace with hers and curl into his favorite pillow. She leaned down and forward, whispering into his ear not knowing if he could hear but was going to talk to him anyway. "Maahes... it is me... Danae... I am here." Other hand reached behind her and pulled the chair closer so she could sit. She continued to lean forward and her head would lower to rest against his arm. She went quiet....-d-
General Maahes- His arm would twitch, and fingers could curl slowly. In the invasion of his dreams he could feel the pillow against his flesh. The smooth cool surface of the fabric and would move his arms in his mind to place it under his head. However in real life only the muscles under his dark skin would flex. Her voice lofted in and out of his visions until he was caught in the whirl pool that would return his life from the middle ground of reality and illusion. The first movement would come in a small turn of his head to the side where Danae rest as if in his mind he was trying to get closer to her. Even in his dreams he struggled with the thoughts of her with the pirate, anyone but him. They plagued him like the sickness; this desire to kill. Like switching gears his breath went from ragged and incomplete to even and steady. " (..please..) " The voice surly didn't belong to him, it was far too weak and far too quiet, but the Arabic words that Danae wouldn't understand did part from his body. " (..don't..go with him.) " Like wrestling between sides Maahes would try his hardest to roll over; never one to enjoy being on his back he slept on his stomach. However as the pain from the stretch shot up his body so too would his eyes open and puzzles were worked out between the waking world and his dreams. Where was he? and what happened? He wanted to raise up, but the more he moved the more it hurt and stitches would be undone. Confused and a little frightened he started to look around, and every part of his body prepared for a fight. (d
Anulia of Amora- ``I would have liked the same, but fate had other plans it seemed. Thank you. I see no shame in having none.`` Out of respect, she did not watch the woman as she had her moment with Maahes, but instead looked to his face to see if he would respond to someone he had known more closer to this time. Anulia had spoken to him in their native tongue for days, his dreads were newly done as she had taken the time while waiting for Aislin to change out his leeches, to sit and re twist them as well as add oils to his hair. In a sense it felt much like it had a long time ago, when that was part of her duties and she was all too willing to do them for him alone. Looking to the woman as she stilled, she did not look away from her until the movements came from Maahes and he spoke. Chocolate eyes went back and forth from one to the other to see if the woman understood him or not. Her free hand moved to reach for one of the leeches that were still upon his body, though only two remained now. At Maahes' next words, Anulia paused and looked to the woman. ``Do you speak our language?`` she asked and before anything else could be said, Maahes was trying to shift and came awake. Anulia moved to stand, still holding her right hand in his own so that her fingers were within his larger palm before she spoke with soothing words in their native tongue.`` (Shhh. You are safe. There is no more fight here. You are in a healery. Myself and one other is here with you.) `` She did not want to rush him with questions, but seeing him move and awake, made her smile wide to show those well cared for teeth.
Danae Galanos- Danae felt his arm twitch and his fingers curl so slowly. She smiled so softly because she was glad to see he had responded. Whether it was just from the pillow or her, she did not care. Danae was just happy he had made signs that meant something good for someone in his state. She lifted her head though when she heard him speak, then saw his head had turned in her direction. Her fingers curled firmer into his own and she sat closer if possible. "Please... please what?" She leaned further hoping he would be able to explain or give some sort of clarity to that. When he spoke again and in his native tongue Danae's thin dark brows knitted together in confusion, a soft shake of her head was made as she looked to Anulia. The puzzlement on her face should have been answer enough to know she had no clue what Maahes had said. When the General's eyes opened, and he made moves to want to get up, Danae stood, her eyes meeting his, trying to get his own to lock with hers. "Maahes.. I am here... the men are fine...all is well." Her one hand stayed curled with his, the other began to rub up and down his arm. Then her hand came to cup his face. "Do not try to get up... not yet...please?" She asked. Hoping he would listen and stay put. She did not want to see him undo all the hard work the others had done to keep him in his stable condiction. "Just calm down..." -d-
General Maahes- "(Did they catch the man?)" Rich tones of his native tongue sounded like a song leaving his lips it sounded so right. No more awkward tones or messed up words just free and fluid motions passing over his voice. "( get him..)" Still his mind was gone, but it was simply the in-between stages of slumber, no longer a fever induced frenzy. Their hands were against his skin and he didn't even notice, but as dark amber eyes turned to Danae he would catch her eye. His eyes grew heavy again as he would slip back into the painless sleep, and words were mumbled over in a weak whisper. "( I won't..let him hurt you...) " Just like that he was gone again, features smoothing from the face of pain as he fell away from the world. Though he was again dreaming, his hand would not leave Anulia's large fingers laced with her own as they fell limp. (d
Anulia of Amora- While such tones were from a land that was not kind, it was familiar and made the heart easy only slightly when it came to knowing. Eyes went to Danae as she moved up as well and cupped Maahes' face. Such a action, was normally done by a mate. Anulia was confused to say the least, but no matter what, she would still be loyal to him. Even if he took another mate, he would find some use for her surely. Of course, she was a free woman to do as she pleased and would continue to do such, but conflict from the inside was always something people had to face and there were still so many things she needed to know that she could not remember. She agreed with the lovely looking woman when she told Maahes to not get up, but spoke back to him while she could. ``( I do not know my Lion. I have been in this room with you for days)`` The male, she would ask about soon and hopefully someone could understand. His next words were to Danae and Anulia already knew the woman could not understand. While she loved Maahes, this woman could be his mate and would have need to know such words. As Maahes fell limp, she felt his fingers shift as sleep took him again. Her small ones laced through his thicker ones, making her whole body tingle with memories and feelings. `` He wants to know..if the man was caught. And...he said that he will not let him hurt you. Do you know what these things mean or are they from his fading fever?`` Anulia's smile had faded into her face and she looked to the woman with a soft calm frown
Danae Galanos- Danae could not understand anything he said as he spoke his natve tongue, wishing she knew it. Or wishing he understood Greek...anything to be able to communicate openly with him where he felt comfortable. When his eyes met hers Danae would nod, helping to guide him back into that calm state. "That is right... calm down..rest..." And then back into sleep he went. She was relieved some, glad he had not fought or forced himself to doing anythhing to hurt them or his own body. Her hand remained in his, curling both sets of fingers around his pillow. Then she looked to Anulia as the woman began to explain his words. Brows rose and then knitted together before falling and her gaze fell to that of Maahes face. The Grecian woman knew the first man he spoke of was the one who attacked him. The second he spoke of had to be Peregrin... this made her frown and she nodded. She looked back to Anulia, her voice flat as she answered. "Yes... he was asking if his attacker was caught....and the second.. is someone he does not want me to be with. It seems he wants to protect me from him...still even now." This was hard on Danae and now it was showing, tears threaten to fall as they collected within her eyes. The pale blue hues becoming glassy and she looked up to keep them from falling. When thinking it was safe, she looked back to Anulia. Danae had nothing else to say, she sat back down and continued holding his hand, staring at his face in silence. -d-
Peregrin- For once he was cursing the heavy cloak that about tore his head from his neck as the heavy storm winds set in. Grunts and moans could be heart outside the window until VICTORY! Maahes's room. The dagger from his boot was removed and placed between his lips carefully, as one could never be too careful. One arm was thrown over the window frame and his body was pulled up. "merde" He cursed to himself as he saw the girls, was that Danae? At least she was up and feeling better. The heavy wind pressed his frame against the stone wall and he closed his eyes as his grip started to slip. Leave it to the gods to storm when he was trying to make an assassination attempt. Up and over he'd cry out he hit the floor. Rising to dust himself off he was all grins to the pair, "He still out cold?" Acting as if he had simply walked through the door, he would sink his hands into his pockets as he walked around the bed to look the General over. Even naked the man looked as if he could kill anything that moved, yet here he was so helpless and hanging on to his life. Funny...Peregrin slowly stood at the man's bedside peeling back the covers to look the wound over. Leeches?? Really? The Pirate would poke at the blue flesh, and Maahes would cry out; oh how wide that evil grin got. "Nice to have the upper hand for a change huh?" Blue eyes would glitter with jest, knowing everyone thought it would be the only way he would win. (d
Anulia of Amora- Chocolate eyes stayed to the woman as she spoke in a voice that seemed less then thrilled of the out come of his words. Did she frown because the male was not caught? Anulia could only assume he meant the one that did this to him. When the woman spoke up and confirmed the first, Anulia was glad to not be totally lost, though the second made her confuse and a tilt of her head was given to the right. Very much like a curious cat, she did such before she spoke with that accented voice, thanks to speaking in her native tongue for some time now. ``I do not understand. Are you not Maahes next mate?`` So very confused, she was. One could see the woman was emotional and that lead Anulia to believe such all the more. Should Danae get out words, Anulia would listen though when another came ....through the window? She turned slightly and watched with close eyes. A dagger...a flash of a glint was given before he moved towards Maahes. Eyes went to Danae for a fast moment as if asking silently if she knew this man. Would the next person come from the ceiling? Chocolate eyes looked up for a moment before she felt the nearness of the other male and saw him reach to pull back the clothes and poke at the flesh. No sooner had Maahes cried out, then did Anulia move faster then a viper striking and grabbed the male by the throat with small hands. Short and small she may be, but the pressure of her thumb, pointer and middle finger pressed in places that would make his whole right side weak and feel drained of blood as she cut off the supply of a major vein. In that same instance, the other hand grabbed the wrist of the hand that had been poking Maahes flesh and two fingers pressed into mid forearm, making his limb shake and spaz, softly at first, but as she held on, it would grew more and more violent. Anulia face had changed to a deadly calm, almost as if no emotions played in her mind
Danae Galanos- Those pale blue eyes lifted again and she looked to Anulia when the woman spoke. Her question would only have her grow even more sad and she shrugged. "Currently.. no...we share feelings for each other. Or did... I still do for him, though if he does for me is uncertain. With this recent speaking... I am confused again." Danae's keen sense of hearing kicked in as she could hear something outside the window and she turned in her seat to look. When Peregrin's form revealed itself she smiled but then it soon faded as she saw that look in his eyes. Danae immediately knew why he was here, or least she thought she did. The sight of that dagger did not go well with her and she stood, as Perry moved closer he pulled back the covers and poked Maahes, making the man cry out. Danae would also move to protect Maahes, but Anulia had already jumped up and made her moves. Danae came to stand beside them both, looking from the woman to Peregrin. Speaking she asked Anulia in her dull tone, no emotion felt in it. "Anulia.. please... I know this man." She paused. "And he knows me..." Meaning, Perry knew if he tried anything funny, Danae would hand his arse to him with no problem. Her hand came to Anulia's wrist, gripping it firmly in a pleading manner to loosen her grip. Her eyes cutting to the woman before moving back to Peregrin. "Explain why you are here... or I will let her finish what she started." Danae knew that his visit was not one for pleasentry or concern, and she glared at Peregrin.-d-
Peregrin- He hit the floor, like some bad lyric to a dumb rap song Perry was on the floor gagging. This hot chic got game and a deadly kung fu grip, lord he was in on it. He couldn't breathe nor move as pain rocketed his body like he had never felt. Brilliant blue eyes passed from a glittering night sky to clouded dark black in seconds. An evil presence filled the room and candles were snuffed out by the passing "wind." He rubbed the flesh that the viper had almost snapped off and his entire frame tried to gain himself. For the first time in their semi' relationship he glared at the woman with such kindness completely void of his expression. In that moment Danae's true feelings shown through, by her quick judgment and questions. "I don't have to explain a damn thing to you." This wasn't like him at all, and she would know that. However, as he moved to stand he felt himself coming back out of the little fit Anulia had caused his muscles to go into. "but if you must know I came to help." He had walked the world for many years and knew different little tricks to remove poison, but she wouldn't know that now would she? (d
Anulia of Amora- Anulia had heard Danae's words prior about having feelings for Maahes. Why would another woman not like him? He was a good man, simply misunderstood. It was a blend of mixed feelings. She was glad someone else had found things in him to cherish, but her heart also ached from it because him waking her up to her memories, brought old feelings back with them. When the man moved towards the ground, Anulia would not let go and would bend down farther to go with him as he came closer to her level, or more so near the ground. She could feel Danae's grip come around her wrist, but that only made her press harder for a moment. ``( Never EVER disrespect the lion like that again!)`` she spat out at him in a tone that held a hidden danger before giving her fingers a twist to relief the pressure on all angles and yanking her hands from them both to stand and head back towards Maahes. Grumbling in her native tongue, she sat back down and leaned over Maahes to check his skin and make sure it was not worse as the leeches began to curl and stop drinking his poisonous blood. She would replace them, removing one and placing another in it's spot with that sickening sound of skin being released.
Danae Galanos- The Grecian woman would have to go down with the others seeing as she held Anulia's wrist. Her ice blue eyes shifted from the woman to Perry and back. "Anulia... please... ." She asked in a flat and void of emotion tone. When the woman finally released her hold, Danae did the same. And when Perry stood to his feet while Anulia returned to Maahe's side, those ice blue eyes cut to Perry hard. Did he just take a tone with her? As shocked as Perry might be he really should have no better, known that Danae did not liked to be given a tone when asked a simple question. Before either of them knew it, Danae would push him back hard against the wall. Her forearm resting under his chin and pressing into his neck. Her other hand came to do the same forceful shove of his arm in the same manner, also against the wall. Her nose was with his as she leaned into his face. "You will explain yourself when it concerns me...and THIS concerns me." Only when he spoke of wanting to help did Danae lessen the force used, then drop both her arm and her hold on him before backing up, returning to the other side of Maahes with her back to him and Anulia.-d-
Peregrin- There was a fine line between right and wrong, as well Peregrin and Maahes. The Beast could easily take her abuse, the violent beauty perhaps was the only way to get through the Egyptian's head, however there was not a heart like that of Perry's. He would wince as she was so rough, and perhaps had they been in a different situation he would have even found pleasure out of it. Yet, as she barked her voice at him his eyes would not leave her own and his lips would not part to say one word. Could the undead cry? Centuries could argue that point, but in Danae's motions water pooled and he would quickly blink back the small sign of weakness? Yeah, Maahes would have thought so, and would often get onto Galen demanding he man up when he would catch the child crying. When she let him go and turned away lord how he felt like a fool. If she would have touched Maahes like that he would have broke her teeth in, did Danae really want that? Well, she sure as hell would never get that from this man. His cloak was a heavy mess over one shoulder and he would adjust to make it right. The dagger from before had fallen on the floor and with a brush of his hands he would bend to pick it up before simply walking out the door. "Have a good one, mate." Perry spoke with a small smile at the confused Giant who stood at the door. How did he let that one pass? (d
Anulia of Amora- Anulia's ears were on the conversation, but her focus was on the task at hand. The leeches that were dying were placed into a jar and the fatter ones were placed back over his flesh. When she was done, her hand went back towards his and laced their fingers together. Anulia did such without turning away for there were many times she had to deal with maggots and other creatures that would help such serious wounds. The sound of the dagger hitting the floor had Anulia's head snap around to it before she watched the male pick it up. Why did he look familiar? Now that she stared at him, she saw something she had seen before, but what was it? With his words, Anulia rose both brows and looked to Danae. Interesting. ``Is this...male wanting to mate with you as well? A tough choice...I see you have.`` she said quietly, with little to no judgement in that tone. It was not her place to do such, but such emotions were not easy to hide. Anulia was not as naive as others believed. She was human and smarter then she looked. ``Perhaps, you should apologize and see why he came?`` she offered not trying to command the woman, but making a suggestion.
Danae Galanos- Danae blinked, stood there as she watched Peregrin and realizing what she had just done. Her heart began to beat like a drum in her chest, loud and fast. Her breathing had increased some and her eyes fell to the ground as she suddenly felt stupid and regretted her actions. What came over her? Hand lifted to forehead, palm flat to it as fingers fanned out. She swallowed hard and looked when Peregrin began to leave. Her chest only grew tighter then and when Anulia spoke, her head snapped to where eyes met hers. Danae only nodded, turned to Maahes and leaned down to whisper something in his ear. " I will come back...promise." She straightened, stared and turned on her heels to go in search of Peregrin. Out the door and eyes looked both ways in the hall, she spotted him and quickly moved to be by his side. "Perry... I am sorry... forgive me. I do not know what came over me.." She paused as she moved to stand in front of him, to keep him from leaving. "Please... I..." Speechless the Commander was becoming. Her hand lifted, a much softer touch went to his chest, palm flat as her eyes peered up to his. Her brows arched with worry and concern. Her full lips thin as she held her breathe, waiting for him to say something. -d-
Peregrin- He would pause in his steps, there was no storm to be had rushing out the door nor need to run into the night. A small very faint smile slid over as he pulled the mask of I'm not hurt, I'm fine. Such kindness poured from his now red eyes. "You do not have to explain anything to me, ma petite." One hand would reach out and take her own, the warmth of her skin warmed his own as he rose her digits to place a kiss across her knuckles. A soft tender exchange would be left with one last good-bye. "I already know." She couldn't lie to him he could hear her heart beating in her chest, smell the desire across her skin. Danae loved Maahes, and frankly he never understood why. Why any of them could was a great mystery. Fools. However he had tried his hardest to curve that desire, but even with his little tricks he could not gain what he desired. Was it fair anyway? He would have probably left in a year, but what a great year that would have been right? He would let her hand fall slowly returning it to her side like putting a book back on a shelf and his own would find the warm depths of his pockets as he stepped away. He would then pause a moment turning that mischievous grin over his shoulder to her. "besides I was gonna kill him, you knew that. No harm done." He would then just keep on movin. (d
Anulia of Amora- A soft smile was given to Danae as she whispered to Maahes and then moved from the room to head after the male. Chocolate eyes looked back to Maahes' face as she pulled his larger hand up and moved her other to cup it between both her smaller ones. ``( Maahes, my lion. What ventures have you been making around yourself while I was elsewhere? Such confusion around you...I can understand your demeanor for it.)`` When Malick moved his head inside, Anulia looked to the other male with a soft smile. ``All is fine, no need for the healer yet.`` Looking back to Maahes, she watched his chest rise and fall, before moving her left hand towards his chest, seeing the letters carved within it to trace them before pulling back and sighing. She could no more hear what was being said between the two, then she could hear other conversations. Moving her body to bend in a lean, she opened Maahes' palm and pressed her smaller forehead into it, holding his hand there as her eyes closed. It was a odd touch, but the warmth of his limb was a comfort.
Danae Galanos- Danae's eyes roamed over his features, searching his face. All she got was the soft smile until he finally spoke and a soft smile of her own was made. Then he took her hand and placed the kiss to her knuckles telling her he already knew. Those thin dark brows arched and as she wanted to deny it, she couldn't. Both of them knew it, had known it all along and how hard she had tried to want him as she did Maahes, it just wasn't possible. Danae could not explain her feelings for Maahes no more than he or anyone else could. Peregrin let her hand fall slowly by her side, and began walking again. Danae knew this was goodbye and through tears, she only nodded. As he spoke, she had been right, the Pirate had come to kill Maahes and Danae would not have let him. He then began walking again and she watched until he disappeared all together. She stood there, hands at her sides and finally they lifted to wipe away the moisture. She swalloed hard again, took in several breathes and made moves to return to Maahes' room. The large man at the door side stepped, letting her re enter and back by Maahes side she went. Her loyalty had been to him, always had been. Her heart had always been his as well... whether or not he wanted it was the question. Her hand found his again, not even looking to Anulia she leaned back to Maahes ear again. " I told you I would come back... and here I am." She said before she sat back down, letting her forehead rest on his bicep as her hand held
Anulia of Amora- Anulia rose her eyes and looked around that massive hand to see Danae coming in through mist covered eyes before she closed them again and tears rolled down her cheeks. It was the emotion in the room, the evil presence that had filled it, along with the need to see Maahes well. The woman seemed to have her own way of dealing with it, as did Anulia. After the woman spoke, Anulia was silent. She had nothing to say at first, sitting in the darkness of the room before the night started to sink into the sky. Malick came in to re-lit the candles so that the orange glow filled the room to dance shadows along the walls. Finally, after time had passed, Anulia spoke. `` I understand how you feel about Maahes and why. I see it too where every one else is blind, we see it.`` As if those words were the greatest key to a lock of the great beyond
Danae Galanos- No words were spoken after she whispered in Maahe's ear. With her forehead resting against his bicep and her hands holding fast to his large one. When Anulia spoke, Dane's head lifted, and tearful eyes stared at her. The great Grecian warrior had finally let someone other than Perry see her cry over this man. The Commander could not even find the words to reply with, and so all she did was nod. Her ice blue eyes looked to the face of Maahes and her head tilted. She stared at him and full lips would part. "Many people fear what they do not understand... me... I face my fears." -d-
Anulia of Amora- Anulia was thankful for the company of Aislin, though the woman never said much to her.
