Anulia of Amora- Eirian's words and touch had brought a rush of memories back from the time when she was in the jungles, captured by the Vikings and then coming here to Skye, however, it did not help solve the other riddles that were rolling about in her mind. All night long, she had repeated those words to try and find the meaning or see if they un clicked something more for her memories, but so far it was as if any she had gotten were moving portraits, too fast as they zoomed by in her mind for her to truly grasp and see. The Sun had yet to set, but already it was casting a rainbow of colors across the sky where it had once been blues and greens. Clouds rolled about in sluggish motions and Anulia found herself wandering to the edge of one dock in particular that had little activity. The last boat had left it's side almost an hour ago, leaving Anulia with the sound of the water sloshing about and splashing against the wooden pier. Chocolate eyes kept watch just below the sun, seeing the line that separated the water from sky. The smell of the sea moved with each rock and sway of the waves beyond. Every now and then a fine mist moved with the breeze to touch her face and make her sigh. By now, Anulia was simple giving in to the idea that no matter how much time passed, she would always be lost and not one to belong. Within the tribe, she had come at a older age, so very different from them and confused on their ways. When she was finally starting to understand, the Vikings came and thrusted her into another world. When hope was fading, she escaped and found another. Was her soul always going to be so restless that it was going to keep her body moving from one place to another? If so...where was next? Hair was still bound in many small braids with laced material through it to add some color to the dark textures. her dress, was that of the Gypsies, a blouse that was far larger then her form, holding off the shoulders to expose a small bit of that mocha skin beyond the braids and twist before that blouse ended and turned into a skirt of cream. So contrasting to her skin color, but comfortable.
General Maahes-The long soft call of a voice across what seemed was forever and endless. The ocean was one of the largest mysteries; worlds beyond imagination still needing to be found. The powerful breath of the wind pressed what it could on the mountain of a man, yet his rock solid surface would not give an inch. It could not whip around the heavy tendrils atop his head, but the small fly away curls that chased the outline of his face tickled across his flesh; only to prove he would need to take the time to have his hair redone. His attire had not changed much, earth toned natural linen fitting snugly in places and having freedom upon the rest. The sleeves of his tunic were rolled past his forearms revealing leather wraps and a tattooed wrist. His thick native blood removed the hair from his arms leaving the skin smooth save for the scars that littered his flesh. There were a lot of scars upon his body. Stabs, arrows, and whips; Maahes had it all. Though they were just that..scars, and nothing more. Nothing ran deeply past the flesh, he saved that part for what bit of knowledge he could get. He kept his interior separated from the out, this was his training, his upbringing, and all that he knew. The man Roderick who so carelessly stole he and Tommasina used this to his advantage to see if he could break the man, but the evil heart never prevailed. Niether one of them lost themselves with that capture, though much of their body still remained somewhere in the bowels of the city. The sun was starting to fill in with the bright reds and oranges, and Maahes stood on the docks like a statue; arms crossed over a mighty chest and an ever watchful eye on a ship that would someday be his doom. The large vessel of the finest wood, was washed in places with gold. The red trim of the pirate's ship matched the scarlet sails that held ground with the one main. It's sail was white almost sheer with the symbol of a Peregrin falcon hunting down it's prey. The bird's eyes were colored in with red, and fire outlined the wings -- it fit. Though no amount of rebirth would pull that man back when this Beast was done. Peregrin's ship was empty, and Maahes knew that yet could not tear his eyes away. Though the motion of the people around him for the most part had been missed, there was one he could not so easily skip. Down the boardwalk she walked and he turned his shoulders just a bit to better face her--his greeting.
Anulia of Amora-Chocolate hues closed to block out the beauty of the water stretched out before her because all it seemed to be doing was distracting her from the memories she was desperately trying to search for. Had Eirian never spoken, Anulia would have still began to wonder once a certain amount of time had passed, for there were many things that left her feeling incomplete, yet she was whole. How that made no sense to her at times. It was true, Anulia was happy, but she had always been no matter what, or at least that she could remember. While not the strongest of women in body, she was the strongest in mind. So far, nothing tore down her spirit, nor broke it and as Eirian said, that was harder to do then to strengthen the body. Opening her eyes once more, her form turned and she headed more down the wooden pier, looking to those that passed her body and were covered in a hard day's work or had their hands filled with things that would fill their ships so they could leave the port. Only when eyes moved forward did she see him. General Maahes. Swallowing hard, she worked the body's water down her slender throat before giving him a soft smile as she went on, old leather knee high boots made only a soft thud thud along the wood until she was close enough to see any expression he may want to pass, but not to close to be in his personal space. "Afternoon Maahes." A glance was given to the right as her eyes shifted to see the ship that lay before them. "Is this your ship? Or do you admire the design?"
General Maahes-"My King has forbidden me to destroy it until after Percival is found." Perhaps it would take a pirate to find another, but that mattered little to Maahes. Anulia was such a comfort that perhaps he would not mind the touch had she given it. Perhaps it was unfair of him to want to keep the truth from her. It was a world he had let go of, and in ways so had she. Her mind did not the pieces together of her past and though it was a struggle he was wishing to be in her shoes. He would meet her eyes with his words only to follow the direction of her own back to the ship. "No, it belongs to a coward." Yeap, Peregrin was a coward hiding from the Beast just beyond the tree line. There was an eerie since of doom that chased his spine every time he looked out upon the enchanted ship. The power there was strong, and perhaps that was the most unsettling of all. Even when the ship gave with the sea he felt chills chase his spine. The creaking of the wood seemed to sing out like a celtic lullaby in words none could understand, it spoke of many distant lands and many new ones yet to be discovered. Perhaps that was Maahes real beef with the careless pirate. He was so free and wild, while Maahes was trapped inside his own mind and unable to stomach touch--touches the pirate gave easily. The General would turn away from the ship to face her, arms still folded over his chest, they were guarding him from the chill. "Do you spend a lot of time on the docks?" This could go two ways, he truly did wonder and in many ways it would start a protection. He would not be so willing to let that man take more then he deserved.
Anulia of Amora- As another breeze came from the sea to grace the lands, it picked up the scents that came from the dark beauty, shifting the wild flower and bees wax smell to swirl around her and move past Maahes before continuing on elsewhere. Anulia's body remained facing his own slanted one while her eyes returned upwards at the side of his profile as he once more looked back towards the ship and spoke, then became what she could only assume was lost in thought. He did not speak much, but that did not mean he was ill of mind or dim. A few that she knew were the very same. So many questions rose with his comments. Why did he want to destroy the ship? Who was he speaking of that he would need to wait on? Who was the coward that owned it? "I am sure your King has said such for good reasons. One has to wonder if this man is truly guilty, perhaps that is what he waits for?" While Anulia did not know much in politics, she heard rumors often as they moved from lips to ear among the castle. The male wanted by the Avarians was a cold killer and one that killed even children while they slept. One of the Avarians, a woman escaped with him due to love, or maybe she believed him to not be guilty. Of course, they were just that. Rumors. Not something with solid proof. "No..I do not spend often here. The sea was both my prison and my help to escape. I have...mixed feelings about it. Do you believe that male is guilty...the one they speak of as a traitor?" she inquired before going on. "Rumors...will be as they are, but is their solid proof of the male's crimes. Some say...a woman who was with you all when you came left with him, or that they saw her flee by his side." Anulia was not one to judge. And so she would not.
General Maahes- Maahes has not slept since her departure, or at least not soundly. A few hours every night was all he could grant himself without the worry and wonder in the back of his mind. He trusted Tommy more then he trusted any other. None, not even a wife that he would perhaps someday would take, could come in place of that woman. He loved her like a brother, like a lover that was beyond the flesh, but of the mind. "I cannot talk of those matters." His eyes darkened on her like a threat his jaw tightening, and his body tensed. "Have a good night." Like a cat rubbed the wrong way he moved away from her. Never once considering the consequences of leaving her before a pirate ship.
Anulia of Amora- Anulia was not so dim of mind to not understand when she had touched on a topic that had made someone uncomfortable. His darkening eyes and the way his strong jaw tightened were more then enough signs to show her such. Oh no. What if that woman had been his lover or a close friend. What if she had been kidnapped and did not run away with the other male? Anulia had offended him and as he moved away, she moved slowly after him, not wishing to for him to leave without her saying she was sorry. "I have offended you. I am truly sorry for that and beg forgiveness." Her tone was sincere; she meant every bit of her apologies. Moving along, she reached out towards him, touching his arm lightly. Warm finger tips felt the coolness of his flesh, along with the firmness that lay beneath it to create the more imposing beast of a man. Unlike last time, it was not just a brush, it was a soft grip to stop him from moving. "Why do you always try to end our conversations so quickly? Do I insult you so much by simply my presence that you must turn away quickly and leave before your anger takes over? I do not understand what I could have done to keep you moving from me." Her voice was calm and soft, moving the same vibe around her of such gentle ambiance. She was noticing more and more that some, where acting strangely around her. What was the cause of this? Why was it happening? Perhaps.. God was telling her that soon, her time here would end and she would once more be moved to another land, to learn all over again. It shook her to the very core and yet, she was prepared for it. That touch, her words, she had said them before, or so she thought and like a soft smack down her spin, the Deja Vu of it went to her soul, confusing her all the more. While her face was calm, her eyes were worried, concern.
General Maahes- Déjà vu huh? He would spin around the palm of his hand grabbing at that perfectly wrist as her touch soothed out the chills. His breath was hot down her neck as he growled. "Don't touch me." Like a wild animal it seethed from him, this threat that was more a promise that her life would end there if he did not just walk away. His body would shake with the built up anger he was about to release on her if she did not let him pass. This was not an anger towards her and never was. This was a battle well fueled by how he felt he had simply let her go alone. Tommy was out there without him for the first time in about 8 years, and that was his undoing. Once he realized he held Anulia's wrist he would slowly ease his grip and let their hands fall; calming only to the point he could offer her a few words. "It is not you, just excuse me..please."
Anulia of Amora-That voice...those words. She had heard them before. now the chills ran freely down her spine. To not be afraid, even in the least bit was to be a fool. Anulia was never a fool. His thicker finger on her slender wrist made those flashes move like never before in her mind. Touch. It was not allowed for a while. On the first two times she had been summoned to him, she could not touch him. He would not allow it, but that did not matter for she did not want to. When the third visit came, his wounds were so angry, she argued with him for a good while, saying they needed tending with him saying they were nothing. Both had grabbed each other as if the touch would enforce their words and only then did they realize that their touch was not so bad towards each other. It was a opening to new things, more so letting her treat his wounds. She had learned through the other slave girls that he never asked for anyone else. Only her.. [/i]She had not let go, sinking deep within her own thoughts before she snapped her eyes towards his as realization came over her and his words; that voice making sure he was always heard. Her grip loosened and she sighed as she let go. "Will it always be this way? Will I always have such bad timing to speak with you?" she allowed him to leave, dropping her hands once his own released her. Everything about him was so familiar to her, but she could not place it and every time he left her before she could ask more. Quietly she spoke once more, the last time if he wished it. "Your hair....is in need of care..if there is no one else..I know how to care for it."[/color]
General Maahes-He stilled then within his steps as if frozen though the wind pushed at him. His silhouette from the setting sun stretched over the walk as if everything even his shadow wanted to touch her. He would not look at her, he could not, but his head would turn against his shoulder. "You always have." With that he moved on forcing himself to leave her there. He couldn't do this right now, it would only end in tears of frustration and words he would not wish her to hear.
Anulia of Amora-That pause could not be missed by chocolate eyes as they stayed on him, watching him walk away only to pause and still his larger beast of a form there for a moment. Still close and yet, far away. What had she said that had made him pause? Quickly, her mind started to go over the last few things she said, trying to find her mistake before he pointed it out. When all she got was that she always had...she tilted her head to the side a bit and watched him moving in that still stiff manner away from her. So confused, and everyone was adding to it. What did he mean by that? How did he know such if they were still getting to know each other? Shaking her head softly, she turned back towards the boat for a moment, looking over the brilliant details of it before she turned and headed back to the town. Soon, she was going to need answers. If the one person who held answers could not give them, surely her mind would open them up soon. Already, unknowing to both, steps were being taken to awaken that part of her lost memories. Still, Maahes was the key and he was not turning it within the lock, leaving a major part of Anulia's life trapped within a cell.
