Lord Roger Mortimer, 1st Earl of March, the infamous man who took up as the lover of Queen Isabelle and launched a revolt to remove the former King of England from power to be replaced by his son, which would mean Roger would have had the regency. If only not for the Mo'r Triath's crushing of it and all English tradition, he would have been undisputed King. For no less than a year he kept bed neither with his displaced Queen or his cast away wife, but all things have changed under the Spanish sun. Utilizing his knowledge of Europe and the inner workings of the foundling Celtic kingdom, Mortimer finds his star increasing as the King seeks his word. And thus it begins...
Vaasco Sanchiz had transcoursed the Iberian Peninsula seeking sanctuary where he and his three companions could... often staying one step ahead of the Protuguese and Spanish Kings’ troops... The Castile region was no longer accessible to him, as the Butcher of Toledo, was renown, even to the point of a painting authorized by the royals, circulated throughout the regions.
Offering his services of sword to anyone who could afford him, he lived the life of a mercenary. More often than not, his battles were fought against the Moors. Soon the name of Sanchiz would be whispered upon the Spanish Courts as an asset to the Reconquista, despite his scarlet past... These whispers would soon catch the ear of Lord Mortimer.
The messenger was sent out to scour the countryside for the “Butcher of Toledo”. Coin was spread across the Peninsula to lure this infamous individual to the shadows of the Spanish Court, and Lord Mortimer.
