Mingnish lies south of a line from Loch Harport to the settlement of Sligachan and west of the course of the River Sligachan and includes the peaks of the Cuillin Hills. To the south, Glen Brittle runs to the slopes of the Black Cuillins. Towns - Sligachan, Skeabost, and Drynoch The CullinsDrynoch- Gaelic for “Thorny place”. This village has about 40 inhabitants, mostly those of sheep ranchers. Broadford and Ceann Loch Ainort – A settlement of 100 people, mostly merchants, who operate the cattle market.
