SIOBHAN MACLEOD Siobhan started to ramble on and on, knowing he must be scared to death in here. Seeing him was a mixture of feelings. He looked so tired, so worn out. His long hair was halfway pulled back and his face held dirt from the walls no doubt.[/ul]
LUCIUS, SON OF BOLVERK And he pressed his forehead to the cool bars.
"I love you, Siobhan. I love you...I have to fight tomorrow...and I want you to know how much I love you...and how sorry I am for the mess I have made for us.." Now he was rambling on. Seeing her sent a bundle of feelings through his body. He was glad to see her, but sad that it could be the last time he saw her again. Lucius was afraid of what would happen in the future...to her and the clan, and he was afraid of dying...as selfish as it might seem.[/ul]
SIOBHAN MACLEOD Siobhan moved her other hand up and slipped the book through the bars.
"I kept it safe, just as I promised. And...I wrote some things in there. I am hoping my words can keep you company. I read... about your being captured and know this must be so awful for you. You do so much to prove your love for me... I am waiting for it to be beaten away. I would..not blame you if you did not do this. It is much to ask of you." Her other hand moved up to touch his as she stared into those beautiful brown eyes. So kind and sensitive. She was a damn fool.[/ul]
LUCIUS, SON OF BOLVERK He whispered, before eyes shifted to the book she was sliding through the bars. His journal.
"My journal..." He muttered, reaching for it. It had been long months since he saw his journal...she kept it safe for him. Lucius smiled...though it turned into a bittersweet version. There was almost no point for him to have it now...especially if he was going to die. Lucius wanted her to have it as a memory of him, a reminder of his past. And then, Lucius realized how she knew. She read it. Swallowing hard, his eyes stared into her cobalt hued orbs.
"It is awful...I can't force my mind to think of anything but that for very long. But thinking of you and seeing your beautiful face, now...makes it bearable." Her hand upon his was a comfort that he could not even begin to express.
"It will never...I love you, Siobhan. What sort of man would I be...if I did not defend the one I love? I'll do whatever I have to...as long as I can be with you...It's not too much if we are together. Look how far we've come...I don't regret marrying you...I have had too many good memories to not fight for them...to do whatever it takes to make more. Your father said...if I win...if I survive..that I can marry you publicly if I ask. We can be together...you know about the clan..you can teach me." Lucius paused, and glanced down to the journal in his hand. Pressing his lips together, Lucius pushed it back through the bars and to her.
"Keep it safe a little longer for me..."[/ul]
SIOBHAN MACLEOD Eyes looked back up to him when he pushed the journal back through. Siobhan reached for it and grasped it between her slender fingers as tears gathered in her cobalt colored eyes.
"I think of those memories every night Lucius. As a husband, you are simply the best. There will never be a man like you. I don't know if my heart can take watching you die. I know I act tough.. but that would kill me too." Siobhan found herself confessing, hoping it would make him fight harder and want this more. In the end, it was about skill and being able to understand the man you fought. What if Lucius made a wrong step?
"I'll keep it safe. As I promised I would. Lucius.. "[/ul]
SIR SEAMUSSeamus interrupted as his eyes looked down the hallway and he reached out for her. [/ul]
SIOBHAN MACLEOD Leaning forward quickly, she nearly bit Lucius' lip when she kissed him hard enough to make the kiss hold a soft pinch before she pulled away. She whispered quickly
"I'll never remove it. Not ever." Before Seamus tugged her from the bars gently and Siobhan gathered her footing to leave. The whole time, she was looking at Lucius and the bars, unable to stop until they turned the corner. Lucius would know what she meant. The necklace. No matter if Lucius died, or another husband was given to her, she was not going to take it off. Not ever. That was her promise to make and keep.[/ul]
LUCIUS, SON OF BOLVERK He would sure as hell try not to. Already he fought for the White Talons of Skye; he wasn't about to let anyone down if he could help it. Siobhan was not the only one with tears welling; Lucius felt the moisture stinging at his eyes and threatening to fall down. After handing her the journal, his hand touched her wrist.
"I couldn't ask for a better wife...you are perfect..to me..just as you are." He said with a light smile, though slightly forced to cover up his sadness. However, Seamus' voice caught his attention and Lucius glanced over her shoulder before turning his gaze back to her.
"I love you, Siobhan. I will..I love you with all my heart.." He managed to get out before her lips were kissing his. Lucius ignored the pain that came with it, for it could be the last ounce of touch he got from her. It ended too fast. Lucius frowned, lips still slightly pursed. Even as Seamus tugged her away from the bars, Lucius' gaze never left hers. A tear rolled down his cheek.
"Nor I..." He whispered, watching her even as she turned the corner. There was no question about what she had meant; the necklace. Their love's proof. But it made his heart feel a little lighter knowing that she would never take it off...even if he died. Lucius leaned heavily against the bars and closed his eyes. More tears rolled down his cheeks until he pushed away from the bars and over to the platter of cold food. Forcing himself, Lucius ate, and tried to get what sleep he could in a cell; just as he promised. [/ul][/blockquote]
