The Pain Of Reality WHEN YOU LEAP BEFORE THINKING, YOU MAKE A LARGE RIPPLE IN THE POND SIOBHAN MACLEOD
SIOL MACLEOD
He turned his body to face her, that serious look on his face was plain to see. "I gave you freedom Siobhan, freedom that no daughter in your place had. I have trained you in ways of men, which should have never been done, yet this is my payment. Lies and secrets? You will tell me the truth now girl, for now two men's lives are in your hands. Was Sir Lucius in your room on the fortnight?" How he dreaded the answer.[/ul] SIOBHAN MACLEOD Before she could finish, her father rose her hand.[/ul] SIOL MACLEOD He gave her a hard stare, a look he never gave his daughter in all her life.[/ul] SIOBHAN MACLEOD Was it of no more worth? It was worth something to Lucius. He would always cherish her the same, virgin or not. She was his wife and he loved her.[/ul] SIOL MACLEOD[/ul] SIOBHAN MACLEOD She did not mean to simply blurt it out, but she wanted him to understand. She had looked after them all, she had made sure there was no shame in the acts she did with Lucius. He was her husband. He had not touched her otherwise until that night, save a stolen kiss. "Lucius asked me like a true gentleman, he never advanced anything until our wedding night..he is a pure soul." Her father's roar cut off her speech. Siobhan stumbled back a bit from him, afraid of what her words might do to Lucius. [/ul] SIOL MACLEOD His hand moved to his face to cover it as he sighed. "What if Lucius can not do the task you have took him in for? Our clan will suffer for it. For your love..."[/ul] SIOBHAN MACLEOD She whimpered out as her eyes lifted to her father. Rimmed red and irritated, salty tears flowed down her cheek. "I have damned our clan...haven't I?"[/ul] SIOL MACLEOD He waved her away and turned back to his dogs. Before she left, he paused her with his words. "I will not stop the challenge between the men. Lucius, may die." And if he did, Siobhan would have to marry another. "Not a word about this marriage to anyone Siobhan." [/ul] SIOBHAN MACLEOD
