Abu Said Uthman was the Amir of Morocco and leader of the Marinid Dynasty… He was tall, over 6 foot, weighing in at almost 200 pounds…black hair kept under a white turban… red and white ornate cloth protected his neck and cheeks… Not an unhandsome man, he kept a minimum of 3 wives, and a harem of 15 or more. In station, he had 20 or more dancing girls. This was done to keep him from appearing too greedy to his people, though he was one of the more greedy of the Amir. A soft spoken man, he was short tempered and violent. He was quick to enslave and put those, who went against his rule, to death. His reign was one filled with greed, barbarism, and subversion. Not a bit of blood was spit by him, but much by those who he commanded. It is rumored that he poisoned his Father so he could be Amir.
The palace herald made an announcement in Berber… “Hail all those that enter… bow down to the grand Amir, Amîr al-Mu'minîn, Abu Said Uthman… Leader of the Faithful, Messenger of Allah… Allah be praised for his Highness… bow down ye low lifes…” then he stamped a long staff onto the floor.
The area of Morocco has been inhabited since over 8,000 years ago.
Evidence of evil VandalismNeolithic cavemen first arrived to farm the area. Later on, the Romans arrived, and celebrated by lighting their infamous roman candles. As usual, this 'accidentally' burned the crops to the ground, causing famine in the area. But it was soooooo worth it - as it was quite a show!
In the 5th century, as the Roman Empire declined, Morocco fell to Vandals.
In 670 AD, it was the Arabs turn to invade Morocco. There was heavy promotion of the Islamic faith, with intervals of beachgoing. Of course with the women covered from head to toe, the morocco-watching on the beaches was in large decline. So instead, sadly, Morocco instead became a center of learning and a major regional power.
In the years of the Marinids, the people of Morocco have suffered greatly, as well as any who befall the slaver's chain. Slave trade became more profitable than gold...
The Gaelic Nations now looked to Spain and Morocco as a detriution to world trade.
