Classes
In Skye: The Winged Isle (StWI), there are several opportunities and directions that a writer may elect in the selection of a Playing Character (PC). One is to design and develop a character of your choosing... or even select a CANON NPC, with MST approval. That choice is yours to make and MSTs may assist if necessary.
To design and develop a character of your own choosing, how you do that is your choice, as long as StWI rules and guidelines are followed.
Non Playing Characters (NPCs) vary greatly in importance in Skye, from the NPC seen once by the player characters, to the NPC arch-nemesis who comes back time-after-time again for an entire campaign. While every inhabitant of Skye's world, except the Playing Characters (PCs), are NPC's, very few are given any detail except the ones listed in Canons - Significant Others PB NPCs .
Though the majority of Skye’s population are NPCs, with the minor ones invented on the spot as needed, to the that the ones on the list, have been played or mentioned many times in some form or fashion of RP, from their inception...
We have established NPCs who may be adopted as your character as permitted by the MSTs. Please take a look at our Canons - Significant Others PB NPCs , to see if any would be of interest. Please understand we take a concerned interest in our NPCs, as they do play a major part in the heart of Skye: the Winged Isle !! In light of that, all rights to StWI NPCs adopted, remain with the MSTs.
Either design of the character you choose shall decide the placement of the character. NPCs are usually already established and you, the player, will bring them to life. For characters of your own choosing, the atmosphere above their heads is their limit, but how will they begin? A noble may fall and a peasant may rise. While each class may pay respect to the one above it, there is a structure in place that unrestricts the movements of the classic social castes.
1.) The Nobility- These are the individuals among the peerage that are titled, have land, rank, etc earned either by merit or by standing at birth such as i.e.
- The Righ and Ree Aberdeen, King and Queen of the Gaelic Nations: Lauded and titled on their merits.
Nobility on the island consists of: The Righ and Ree... and their immediate, closest company of The Griffin Court, clan characters around the Gaelic Nations, and those peerage from other lands. Nobility from abroad is acknowledged, and in the new government, higher tiers are earned by deed and merit.

Proper terms of address would be:
- Your Majesty
- My Lady
- My Lord
- Your Graces

Land for noble estates is granted by the Aberdeens, with any misconduct or dishonorable, criminal, or treacherous deeds revoking the land into the ownership of the Court to disperse to the people.
- All nobles of any position will appear with Lord or Lady before the name. To create a noble character for the Isle of Skye that would have a direct impact on local government, owns local lands, etc, please contact the moderators to go over our story. It is highly suggested that you begin your character from a point to work up to this aspiration. All government and Clan characters are at moderator discretion -
