Blind of Eyes but not of the Heart..

< This scene took place in a small village between Dmitrii's home and RavensCrest after Kae informed Dmitrii she could not see any more. It has been more than a year since she lost Darius and her children and recently Lee entered her life.. I have those posts yet to edit but will get them posted. Wanted to get this up for the year change and have Lee and Kae established.>

KAE: ** Kae stood there as he informed her that he would taking first watch outside her door.... it made her feel safe at a time when she was not as stable as she would like both mentally and emotionally." I will call if I need anything." she replied in a tone that was devoid of emotion. Kae was shutting down... drawing deeper within herself... to much has happened recently and she felt as if she were abut to break and crumble in front of those that depended on her most. His fingers on her cheek had her turning into the touch... such warmth.... such caring when she felt dead within. His next words had her looking blankly at him... wishing she could see his face.... could see anything at all. Without word she took his hand and pulled him gently within her room.She did not want to be alone...not this night... not ever again... and he offered right?? And she was not so blind as to not take advantage of his offer.**

LEE: ::With a look to Pagan, he knew she was safer with Lee in the room then she could have been with him outside of it. As the door shut he moved up behind her and began too untie the lace on her dress keeping it on. His fingertips moving slowly, gently, he was being careful if not seductive in his own right. His hands moving slowly down her back, and down as the last of the lace was freed he spoke softly.:: Allow me Kaelyn... I will take care of you... Last night was the last one you will have spent alone if it is so your wish. -d-

KAE: ** Kae stood there and let him untie the laces of the dress she had on...his touch light...gentle as if she were some rare treasure that he had found. She liked the way he made her feel... especially now when she felt nothing... nothing but guilt...but failure...worthless to everyone it seemed but him. She simply nodded as he spoke for she had no voice to put to her words in this moment. Would last night be her last alone?? What if she pushed him away with her distant behavior?? She slammed the door on those thoughts... for right now all she wanted was to feel like she meant something to someone even if for a single night."Such a dream is not for me... the future is not certain for anyone... but I like the way it sounds coming from you... with you I do not feel alone... and that is huge." she took a small step towards him... their bodies so close she could feel the heat radiating off him.**

LEE: ::He was still wearing that black kimono and those leather laced boots and black training pants that were loose. As her dress was loosened but not off he began to pull it from her shoulders to pool about her feet. His arms moving to wrap her close again. Laying his head on her shoulder, he was glad pagan had snuck up and started the fire for her, so the room was warm. His steps guiding her to the bed he noticed it was one side against the wall, he moved to help her in first.:: I will sleep closest to the door... -d-

KAE: **Kae shivered as he removed her dress and let it fall to the floor.. the room was warm thanks to the fire being lit. Lee guided her to the bed and spoke that he would sleep closest to the door which made sense as she could barely make out her in front of her damn face. Once in the bed she shifted back to make room for him... this just felt right to her....him with her... protecting and caring for her.She smiled and waited for him to join her.**

LEE: ::As he stood near the bed he began to remove his kimono. Not that she would see that well toned frame coming into view. Sitting down on the side of the bed he began to unlace those boots, and slipped them off to set them by the bed. Moving to turn over and slide closer to him. His fingertips were gently sliding along her features of her face.:: I love the smile on your face.. Becoming happy with yourself, your life, and your blessings in a key road to recovery. -d-

KAE: **She heard him remove his clothes and smiled though she could not see him...she knew what he looked like through when she touched him. Lean and muscled....the bed dipped telling her he was now laying beside her. His hand on her face made her smile more " You make me smile when I feel as though there is nothing to smile about. Happy?? I am not sure that is a word I would use... I am adjusting to this all yet... I know only one thing....I want you with me... always for as long as we have." her fingers traced his jaw and then found his mouth... she ran a fingers over it, it was full and soft. Her fingers then continued their journey over his face as if through touch she was seeing him.**

LEE: ::He closed his eyes as he heard her words, as she began to caress him along his features. His eyes were remaining closed as she was caressing over those eyes.:: For as long as you will have me... My heart, my body, my life are yours Kaelyn... I have not felt such a connection since Noehime... and I feel her blessings in my heart... like you were meant for me. -d-

KAE: ** Her hands roamed his features with such a light cares it was if she was not even touching him. his words spoke to her in a way she had not thought possible since Darius. " I would have you forever if it were my choice... but the Gods control that. I am glad you feel as you do for I as well feel the same... " her words trailed off her throat felt tight as did her chest.... was she falling for this man... was her heart claiming him? No matter she would take what she was given and not analyze the gift. Her hands found his neck and pulled him close so she could place a tender kiss to his lips.**

LEE: ::As he was drawn closer to her, his lips were moving to press to hers as she initiated the kiss. His arms drawing more around her, deepening the kiss as he guided her to her back. Half laying on her, half off he held her. The passionate embrace he hoped would make her quiver from her soul.:: -d-

KAE: **That kiss made a light grow bright deep within her.... as he deepened the kiss and guided her to her back she held onto him. The feel of him next to her like balm on a wound soothing and comforting. Her hands roamed his broad back slowly almost tickling like.. her body did shake though she was not cold not by a long shot. " Lee." his name a soft whisper from her lips her breath soft and warm on his wet kissed mouth.**

LEE: ::His lips moving down along her jaw, he heard the soft calling of his name. A sweet desire. A sweet need. His lips curling into a big smile, as teeth lightly bit into her flesh.:: Yes... my Love? ::He had not been able to called her that since they had left the forest. She was not ready to let the world know and he would never betray her trust. but alone.... he could say what he wished.:: -d-

KAE: ** Kae let out a little moan as he bit her gently and then called her love. "I need you.... please..." her tone was pleading and she hoped he would understand. For whenever he held her and made love to her she did not have to think.... only feel. " Please....my....heart."**

LEE: ::as the hours ticked by, he indeed did love her body, and soul. Many times he made love to her during the night. Laying stop of her, covered in sweat, the heat of their passion keeping her warm as well as the fire. His lips pressing softly to her own as he remained within her.:: I love you... -d-

KAE :** He loved her in many ways for hours and hours and she gave as she had gotten. Spent they both lay there covered in sweat a smile on her lips her eyes closed until he spoke. Her eyes flew open after he said he loved her heart filled with joy her throat tight...." I... I love you as well."**

LEE: ::He smiled, as she spoke her love to him.. and it was good to know he was not crazy.. and he was not alone this. His lips were softly pressing to hers again, he pulled slowly from her. And moved to lay at her side. His arms sliding about her to pull her close cuddling her .:: Rest... tomorrow we have a long ride ahead. -d-

KAE **She felt how her words made him feel... and it made her happy as well.. Would many think it to soon for her to love again?? What would Dmitrii think... in time he would come around of that she was sure. Lee pulled her close and she sighed softly wanting to scream her love for him yet wanting it to be their secret for a while longer." Lee... let us keep this between us for now?" would he understand why she was asking? " Aye we do have a long ride...but I am not all that tired right now."**

LEE ::He was laying at her side, and he spoke softly, a nod of his head, his lips pressing reassuringly to her forehead.:: Until you are ready... it will remain as such. ::After all.. this was not the first love he had been asked or forced to keep silent.:: In public I will remain unchanged.. privately.. I would hope you will give me leeway to speak and do as I please? -d-

KAE: ** Tucked in next to him " Thank you and yes when we are alone you may speak and do as you please." she said smiling at him. Her head on his chest she felt so safe and loved and .....alive.**

LEE: Thank you Daimi... ::He spoke softly. His lips pressing again to her head as she laid it upon his chest. She could surely feel the heart beat that bled and now beat only for her.:: -d-

KAE: Lee's heart beat a steady cadence in her ear " There is no need to thank me Lee... I am just not ready for the world be share our joy and happiness... I love you ." she said again in a whispered tone. Her hand moving on his chest lazily... yeah she loved him it was unexpected to her but she felt the way she felt.**

RavenCrest 1329

Dmitrii rode to RavenCrest… the Mo’r Triath’s words heavy on his mind… Adam was in agreement with Dmi as far as Kaelyn stepping down… but the Duke was leery of Anwen or Eryn, or whichever mind the lass was in… Now it was upon Dmitrii honor that Eryn and Jonathan was allowed sanctuary. But the thing that was furthermost upon his mind was Kaelyn…

Danae was the best choice… competent and diligent… a great choice for a temporary replacement… but Adam was use to Kaelyn… depending upon her without hesitation… Could Dmi expect the Mo’r Triath to do the same with Danae…?

The familiar road to RavenCrest passed slowly as he took his time… still trying to let her know the Mo’r Triath was a bit hesitant but allowed his sister to step down… and Dmi still had a hard time trusting that new man… though Kaelyn depended upon him…

At the gates, Dmi bade his entry… and the guards opened the heavy wooden door. With a kick to the flanks, the large black Andalusian pranced into the courtyard. One guard made his way inside to announce the Lady’s brother .

Kae was in the study when a guard came to announce that her brother Dmitrii was here to see her... she asked the guard to show him in. Behind the desk that had belonged to Darius she awaited her brother anxious to hear what news he brought from the Mor' Triath and yet not wanting to know as the same time.

Her vision still had not returned... she had begun training with Lee to learn how to do things without it as best she could... including to fight. Lee was an excellent teacher and thankfully her skills helped in this new way of learning. her senses more acute than ever.

A knock sounded on the door and she bid entry... rising slowly from her seat she gathered her thoughts... as Dmitrii entered she could tell it was him by the sound of his footfalls "Good day brother... what is the news you bring?" she asked not able to wait another minute to find out whether or not she was to be replaced or relieved of her duties permanently.

The nod sent the servants away, and Dmitrii neared his sister... As she rose, he took her into a brotherly embrace... "I am well Sister... and Yu?" Taking her hand, he placed it upon his arm and guided her thru the building, with no destination in mind, just to walk. "The Mo'r Triath has given me responsibilty of Jonathan and Eryn... The lad has vowed me service for her and I think he shall care for her..." he patted her hand...

"We will receive Eryn back into the fold of love and care... knowing that William was the reason for Anwen... I shall assign someone to watch them..." He continued to discuss all he and Adam had talked about...

"Now, how are yu...? Yu are my biggest concern... is the odd man of yer life still favored?" he spoke softly but gave her a bit of a huff... He was not displeased with the man, just leary... especially with Kaelyn's track record with men...

Kae embraced her brother back and smiled. "I am glad that the Mor' Triath has given you guardianship over them and that Jonathan seems to care a great deal for Eryn." she spoke as he took her hand and laid it upon his arm and began to lead them on a casual stroll through her home... it was nice to have him here again. It made all the sad memories a bit easier to handle.

As he patted her hand and they continued their walk while talking... she looked at him with sightless eyes "Aye, we will receive her back into the family and be there to support her and them as best we can without interfering in their lives." her voice was soft as she spoke. "Good idea to have someone watch them you can even use some of my Shadow Knights for that assignment as well... just in case that bloody scoundrel Maubrey should dare show his face here again... I pray I get my sight back and tis I who finds him. I will have no qualms running my blade through him for what he has done to her all this time." now her voice held a hint of malice and hatred for the man who seemingly robbed her cousin of years of her life.

As he asked the next question she looked ahead seeing nothing but praying she would by some miracle of the Gods... "I am doing well Dmi.. I am learning how to deal with not being able to see. That odd man is named Lee you should try saying it tis not so hard and yes he is favored..." she gave him a soft smile. Yeah she knew her baby brother was over protective of her and yes she knew her track record with men was not the best but still.

"Do not let me a concern for you... I will manage as I always have... Lee is kind and caring and he has started teaching me to work with not being able to see instead of against it." she paused and stopped mid stride and turned to face him "Dmi... he is a good man... and you should give him a chance before setting yourself to not trust... he has a place in my heart... a well earned place I might add... for if not for him I could be dead right now thanks to Johan and the 13th." she gave him that small smile that was reserved for only him and times like this .

She had not missed that huff of his and it made her chuckle briefly. "I love you brother and do not know what I would do without you... but I am not as I was before... I am more than aware of my history and know you are concerned, but truly there is no need to be overly so... though I love you dearly for it." she placed a small kiss to his cheek after she had used her hand to find it.

Dmitrii just laughed at her… “Always the cunning Ranger… his big sister… Even blind yu think yu see what is right.” He patted her hand as they walked. “YU, shall always be a concern to me… married, old maid, blind, eyes of an eagle… slim and muscular, or damn right fat… Yu are the only blood I have left… and in a distance, maybe Eryn…” he huffed again… “Yes my darling sister… I accept…umm, Lee… I do so for yu…not my benefit… and if yu fall, God forbid, I shall be here…But yu say yu love this man, so be it… You have my blessings… though reluctantly…” he leaned and kissed her cheek. She was taller than he and he just tugged her hand where her shoulder dipped.

"Now little brother tell me of you and this Ae... do you love her?" she asked changing the subject and yet stalling about finding out what Adam had said in regards to her.

The smile grew large and he looked at Kaelyn… though she could not see, she could tell she had touch a chord… “Oh Aegraine… she is so lovely…” he paused… “My sister, yu know not how much… she is peace I have sought for so long…” he paused again and patted her hand… “I have asked her Father for her hand in marriage… and he agreed… I think we shall be married soon… maybe before the New Year is upon us…” The joy in his voice would betray his expression.

“Enough of me… The Mo’r Triath has agreed to allow yu to step down until yer sight has returned…” he patted her hand as it tightened about his arm, afraid of what he would say… “Sister, Adam is concerned for yu… he knows none can replace yu…but is willing to allow Danae to take charge whileyu recouperate…” He stopped… “Adam has allowed any resource that yu may require to recover…” His hand touched her face… “Just concern yerself just once, aye?”
