Maahes: It felt good to be home, and after the little travel by cart in the poring rain Maahes was certain he was going to submit a request for a carriage. Poor Ra screamed the whole way hating that even under the cover of heavy fabrics he was getting wet--but more so he couldn't see what was going on! Ra liked to watch the trees pass, and the sky above, he liked to watch his mother's face as well. When they found their footing at home, the night had cleared but the cool scent of the evening air was damp and put Maahes in a rather foul mood. His head was pounding, his full lips frowned heavily, and he was quick to find solace in the bedroom. The bed was a welcome sight, but he would not be so quick to fall. Coming to kneel beside the bed it looked as if he were to pray, and as he whispered a silent word to God--he would! Yet, when the prayer was over he simply did not have the strength to get up just yet. The Beast felt quick to fall. Coming to kneel beside the bed it looked as if he were to pray, and as he whispered a silent word to God--he would! Yet, when the prayer was over he simply did not have the strength to get up just yet. The Beast felt sick and nauseous, where even the smell of the snack Nora had laid out made his stomach turn. A pale face rest in the palm of his hand, and he closed his eyes able to make it to one knee. The laughter of the children one of his most prized moments sent chills down him, "Ealora!" He called out, and when he didn't get an answer again, "EALORA!"
Ealora:There was no denying Ealora loved the rain but she worried of Ra getting wet and getting sick. After their scare months ago which had more to do with Perry then any real cold, she worried their son would fall ill and her worst fear in it was that she could do nothing to ease the discomfort of a cold. Yet the baby seemed perfectly at ease once home and squealed in delight to be with his siblings who doted on him as if their own personal doll though Ealora never left them unsupervised with the baby despite knowing they would never hurt their younger sibling. Nora was quick to take over the kids when Ealora skitted off for the snack she had mentioned. A full belly of dinner and she was still hungry, besides, the sliced peaches on the plate were calling to her. Then again so was her husband. Shoving a slice into her mouth, she turned about for their bedroom as she chewed and swallowed. The bellow made a slender brow raise in question. Licking her fingers, she leaned against the frame. "I'm right here Maahes" She purred as she leaned up from the frame and slid the door closed behind her.
Maahes:From the palm of his hand he spoke without looking at her, "Tell those kids to be quiet." He spoke out to her in a short tone that was not as harsh as one of his growls, but close. Was it so close to the Full Moon? After a moment of silence he was pleased and lowered his voice, "My head is pounding." Opening his eyes then he blinked in the light, and reached out for her, "Come do that thing you do. When you pinch me." He leaned over the bed again upon his knees still in the floor, but let his arms rest fully ready to receive her! Wasn't this what wives were good for? He certainly was spoiled, but then again would do anything to keep her out of pain. "I do not understand these feelings, I feel sick. Like I throw up, but want peaches." Maahes doesn't even like peaches!
Ealora:"Those kids...OUR kids Maahes" Though her voice didn't raise past the purr of her normal voice. She couldn't be mad when he was obviously hurting. Her lips pulled into a tight frown, a headache, he wasn't prone to headaches. Sliding across the floor, she sat against the edge of the bed and took his hand into her own but she didn't do the pressure point. "This one is for seasickness..here" She paused as she released his hand and ran her hand against his neck up to where it meet with the base of his skull, moving to find the spot where his spine met his head and pressed before sliding her hands around to the just behind his ears and pressed again. "There..did it ease?" She didn't like that he wasn't feeling well. It put her at a disease as much as it did when the kids were unwell. "You might be getting sick...then again, craving peaches and your not even liking them. If you weren't a male, I'd say you were pregnant" Her lips curled into a grin, she was about to laugh till the word peaches seemed to slid across her mind, the taste still in her mouth and suddenly she felt her stomach roll. She pressed a hand against her stomach and rubbed back and forth till the feeling eased before taking his hand into her own and pressing against the pressure point in his wrist. "We may not be at sea, but this will ease your stomach.."
Maahes:"I am so hot.." He would lean forward with her hands letting his face fall into the bed and the heavy tendrils of his hair lift off his neck. Maahes could tie them up when they were not so long, and was about to have her just cut them off! However, Anulia would be home soon, she could fix it. "I feel like I am pregnant, You curse me with the next one remember?" He smiled looking back at her, thinking back of the time he found her bent over the wash tub throwing her guts back up. When she pressed against him he felt the tension leave, like a stick breaking in his mind the cloud from the pains let up--the pressure in the air. Big baby! "I hurt all over." He lied then with a grin, "My back aches. My feet are swelling, and my breast hurt." He teased then raising a hand to cup his chest just as she had done so many times.
Ealora: "It's funny you craving peaches, I'm craving them to until just now.."Her face twisted as her stomach felt like it was again in a knot before easing off. She pressed his tendrils back to blow softly against his neck as he leaned over the bed. She couldn't help but grin at his words. Oh the agonies of pregnancy, but the joys outweighed it bar none. Like when the baby kicked from inside, or rolled making it feel like bubbles. "Oh yes, I always wanted you to feel the agonies of pregnancy." She returned the grin, cupping his face within her hand. "Yes my dear your pregnant" She teased as she flopped back against the bed and rolled to her side to face him. She seemed to radiate a glow especially when she thought back on what he had said, thought back on being pregnant, hmm, she had a headache a few days ago, her stomach constantly rolling but she was hungry all the time too, sometimes for the strangest things, like peaches lately. Not to mention her bubbly attitude once she got over feeling as if she got no sleep the night although she had slept perfectly. "Maahes...I..."She stopped, she didn't want to say it, didn't want to jinx it and find out it wasn't true, it would devastate her. No there wasn't any certainty, even if her head and heart were arguing that she was in fact right. Her hand rose to brush through his dreads. "Are you still burning up? Want a cool cloth?" Yep, change the subject Ealora, as she spoke she kicked her foot to give her the momentum to get up.
Maahes: "No..I want you here with me." He whispered as he pulled her back down, placing his hand around her to pull himself up in the same moment. Soon she would be lost under the covers, pulled down by the weight of a Egyptian brute, and kissed deeply with all the passions burning between them. "I make you pregnant, woman. Or die trying." What a good death that would be!

Took place on 8/24, such a dunce...
Ealora:Night was settling in against Red Wall and the temple that claimed home of the Asad aziem house was still teaming with life though outside even the nocturnal animals were beginning to sing lazily against the night. The sun could of been high in the sky for all the racket the children made. It had been a hard decision but months of seeing Nora's energy winding downward had lead to only one solution. Ealora had sent for the maid who had served her so diligently in England. Vivian. The girl had been begging for months for Ealora and the family to at least visit if not let her come there. So why not move her? She was only a few years older then Ealora, much more energy then Nora and nowadays, even Ealora. Who had taken to falling asleep in the oddest places. Once while doing the wash, she had stopped dead in hanging up a wet shirt and had plain fallen asleep where she stood! It was the chance in seasons, it had happened last autumn. Ealora was no fan of the coming cold and this was how her body coped she supposed. Eppie squealed in delight as Issa chased her and Vivian behind him with both their nightshirts waving in either hands. Her face a mixture of delight and frustration. Her own brown locks swayed as she chased them. She could all most pass for Ealora if not for the milky white skin and her features were not as...exotic as Ealora's.
Vivi:"Ohhh, hold still!" she whined as she chased the pair around the living room.
Ealora:Ealora exchanged an amused smile with Nora as the two washed dishes from dinner. Well at least Ra was all ready down for the night, now Vivian just had to learn how to quiet these two down!
Maahes:A big part of his heart soured when he heard the laughter from clear out in the fields. The building of village had taken much longer with the rain, but now with the grace of the sun it was almost complete. Maahes's skin already so dark, found a way to deepen in color. Bronze flesh turned brown with undertones of a hertiage darker then the night sky. His holiday was coming, a month of fasting during daylight hours. He would be a bear for the next month working all day without food or water, but his God had done it once--so could he. The blazing heat had taken it's toll turning man into moisture, and carving deeper lines into already sculpted form. However, when the sun set he was reluctant to let it go. Much had been going on in his household, but he had done well to keep himself busy, knowing Ealora could handle it. The new face in his house had caught him off guard, bare chested, and covered in dirt. Eye to eye he met the woman with questions unspoken burning behind angry amber eyes. "Ealora. Who is this? Why she chase my children?" He asked as Eppie and Issa both found the trunks of their father's legs a hiding place.
Ealora: The children had fallen quiet and Ealora turned slightly with a brow perked upward in wonder. Had Vivian found out so fast how to get them to pay attention? Ahhh, Maahes voice boomed and Ealora grinned as Nora flipped a dish towel at her. Wiping her hands upon it, she leaned to kiss the woman's wrinkled cheek as she replaced the towel on the woman's shoulder and moved through the kitchen to the front hall. Poor Vivian looked like she was a deer in the sights of a hunter, her cheeks all ready a flaming red against her milky white skin. Ealora chuckled at the look of Vivian first and then her husband. What a bear. "This is Vivian, she tended our summer house in England while we were there." That was all she would say, having convinced Nora that she had brought the girl to give Nora more time off with her father. It still wasn't a pairing Ealora knew she could accept, even if she loved Nora like family, she could not see her as a stepmother, she wasn't sure she ever would. An she would say no more of it because she knew even with old ears, Nora was listening. "All right you two, dress for bed or its no star gazer tonight.." Star gazer was what Issa had called it, it was a toy of sorts, from Ealora's own childhood, a lantern with a metal overcasting that had a crank when turned till it could go no more, rotated casting stars against the walls. There was two, one for Ealora and Eli when they were kids, now Eppie and Issa's. Vivian let out a sigh of relief. Yep, this was how you got the kids ready, bribe them.
Maahes:"Vivian." He would say with a nod bending to ruffle both mops of wet hair, and kiss each cheek before letting them run off. "The one with the pretty face." He remembered from England, missing both the Duke and his job there. Often did he think of the people there, and their lives torn apart by his own hands. Nora would come with a clean wet rag for Maahes taking his hands into her own cleaning them going on about how dirty he got, but how delightful it was to watch him busy and not tearing through the house bored out of his mind. Maahes was the kind of man who always had to keep busy, never would he allow his hands idle. However, he did love to torture Nora with the tease of a dirt covered hug. Opening his arms he threatened to press her against the sweaty dirty mess and she would squeal. When Nora was free, his eyes turned to Vivian who blushed bright red and turned quickly. "Komor, came in good hand today, he made the build very easy." Meaning Maahes would accept the Elephant finally. After such a long debate! "I wish to take a bath." He spoke, as he sat down to remove his sandals, but suddenly worried he would not be able to get back up.
Ealora:Arms folded across her chest as celadon eyes rolled skyward and down again. "Yes, the pretty one.." She mused. Of course he would raise her ire in remembering THAT detail. She leaned against the wall as Nora swept past, fussing over him like a mother hen. An amused smile swept across Ealora's lips even as Vivian blushed an even deeper crimson and swept from the room. Well he was finally accepting the elephant while Ealora was still out on that one! At least one of them was accepting of the big gray blob. "Sounds like you had a good day" She mused with that same amused smile. It was better for him to be out of the house working then stomping around like a brute because he was bored. Pushing off the wall, she moved to catch him before he sat down. "Oh no you don't! Don't ruin the furniture, use the wooden bench in the bathhouse, the waters all ready for you" Fingers curled about his upper arm as she pressed onto her toes to place a kiss on his lips. Yep scolding him for messing up her clean home then kissing him the next. "Go wash and I'll bring you a plate of food in our room, hmm" Now with an offer like that, how could he refuse? "Nora, go ahead to bed, you look tired. I'll fix his plate." She turned her attention to Nora as she pushed him gently down the hall.
Maahes: "I'm not hungry for food, Ealora. The moon is full.." He gave a low growl, more of an implication of the strength he held to keep his true hunger at bay. "Go to bed Nora, take the pretty face with you, Vivian." He would loop his fingers within her own, and loving the way they felt. "You need to sleep, I need to go outside." He placed a kiss to her knuckles, taking a deep breath and moving down the hall. It would feel good to get a bath, and before she could refuse he was naked and in the tub! "After bath of course." This was his favorite time of the day! Turning to face her, he would touch her cheek lightly before letting his hand fall. "You look tired, Habibi, you not sleep at night?"
Ealora:"Mmm" She mused with a hum, saying nothing besides the gentle purr of her voice as her cheeks began to color a golden tint, all most shimmering in the pale light of the lamps in the hallway. Lids slid closed to the way he kissed her knuckles. Damn tease! Oh he was good, naked and in the tub before she could say anything about it. Keen ears heard Nora calling to Vivian in a quiet and gentle voice, the soothing sounds of a calm breath from both toddlers as they slept. Ra's light snoring(the miniature of his father!). His strength and hunger intensified with the full moon as her senses intensified and despite the changes in him, it was hard not to notice the pulse of his vein within his neck. Ugh, this was another thing to hate about the coming Autumn, she didn't need it, but she waaanntted it. His hand against her face, brought her back to the present and she sighed before letting out a huff of a laugh as she slid away from him to collect her robe from a hook on the wall. "Why sleep at night anymore when I keep falling asleep during the day? I fell asleep hanging a shirt up today, figure that one out!" Celadon eyes rolled to look at him before turning back to unlacing the ties of her dress and pulling it over her head to puddle in the corner. "How bad is it this time?" She meant the full moon and him, there had been many since their discovery. She made a point not to talk about it, like they never spoke of hers, not because it was hard for her to imagine a change in him but because, the truth was, she didn't WANT to make it any harder for him then it all ready was. It was easier to accept this part of him, because of what had happened to her. Slowly she shrugged the robe onto her shoulders, playing with the ties, not even bothering to close it just yet as she slid onto the bench, she spent all day in clothing, sometimes she just rather enjoyed being naked.
Maahes:Sometimes he rather enjoyed her being naked too. "It is not bad, it will be the next to hurt. The Fruit's medication he gave me helps. Makes me not change, and the pain less..but I still have desire to kill. Fight." He spoke so easily without turning his head once away from her. "He is a smart man." Meaning Jean-Claude of course. "I tell him I was sorry for how mean I have been..and to Rosalind. I told her I was sorry, invited her to dinner, offer her anything she wanted. She was understanding, but said she needed more time. I need to go see Adam, I worry of him." Boy he was talkative tonight! "Maybe you should go talk to him? Maybe he has medicine for you to stay awake." He would tease her with his eyes, but motion for her to come forward. "Do I keep you awake at night? With my snoring like our son does me?" He would grin coming to fold his hands over the top of the tub and letting his chin rest on his bicep.
Ealora:"First you call him a fruit, then you say you told him sorry. Maahes sometimes you do confuse me..."She let out a laugh though as she opened a jar of cream and pulled her foot up onto to the bench to begin rubbing it in and then the other as she listened to him talk. She liked it when he was talkative, the roll of his voice, it was an addiction she would never get enough of. Nor the scent of him or the feel of his arms. She was hooked and could never quit him. Celadon eyes moved to him then away, she didn't like talking of Jean Claude, or Perry or even Shaden or Nic anymore. All of them had disappeared on her. She missed the nights she could go to the Lily and talk with her sister or even the nights Jean or Perry showed up at the window when Maahes was deep asleep, snoring away to talk to her. She had been cut off so suddenly that it hurt, not as much as it could have, what with all the work needing done around Red Wall but late at night, she was left with nothing else to visit, even memories of the sea were to painful to revisit. She would never regret her old life, nor would she ever regret becoming a wife and mother but she could not help but miss the sea. "I sleep some at night..."She mused as she replaced the top on the jar and slid off the bench to stalk to him on her hands and knees like the panther she once was, the open folds of her robe swaying against the floor. She let the conversation of visiting Jean Claude slid off, she wasn't going there. "But you two really are becoming a duet you know.."She teased in return as she let her arms wrap around his shoulders, leaning her cheek against his arm at his elbow as russet curls fell with the turn of her head to brush against his arm. "mmm I've missed you."
Maahes:"He is the love of my life. I had not known I would love him so." He mused letting his eyes roll to where their son had already left them to sleep. He had not even said good night! But growing boy's needed much rest. When she came close his arms came around her shoulders. "I have missed you too. Maybe we will spend time together in the autumn..without a war I will be home everyday." He smiled brushing a wet hand through her strands and running his fingers around the base of her neck. "And days spent watching the fire..our children playing." His heart ached with the excitement of knowing he was finished with battle. With Avaria in peace, and Skye complete Maahes for the first time in his life would get to grow fat and old without the battle. He would grow silent smiling then as he met her eyes, "They talk of our son in the fields, about how handsome he is. The women say he will make a fine man." Maahes loved every word they would speak, "They say that if you can not get pregnant they offer to have baby for me." Woah.
Ealora: "Indeed, I can say with all certainty, I know exactly how you feel" She grinned as her fingers ran down the length of his arm and she snuggled into his embrace. "Not maybe, we will.."Her head lifted to catch his face before letting her forehead lean down against his own, sighing as his hand brushed along her neck. Damnable tease! What had he been saying. chyt, she lost it in the touch against her skin. Her fingertips continued to caress at his skin, brushing over his shoulder blade before dipping down into the water over his spine. She hummed in a laugh to hear how they were talking about their sun god. "All our children will be spectacular Maahes. Eppie will be a very beautiful woman, unlike her mother who enjoys pants more then dresses and Issa..."she paused lifting her head from his. "I think he will join the sea, we visited the beach today, I see the same gleam in his eye that used to be said of me. Ra is young yet, but I am going to enjoy seeing what kind of boy he becomes and then what kind of man." Brows pulled inward, her eyes darkening, even if it was a tease, it hit a nerve. "Ha!" It so did not sound like a laugh. "What might be their greatest wish, I'd make their nightmare." She nearly growled it. "Maybe Vivian might suit you, seeing as she has such is the pretty one".

Took place on 9/4. Again, dunce.
Jean-Claude:So much time had passed, with Peregrine gone, and Ealora tucked away into her lands--he had little to worry over. This was unwell of him, and Jean-Claude often found himself sitting in the corner of the higher class tavern sketching for his latest work. He was to open shop, of the finest sewn works of art to ever grace the fine windows of his keep. Up front he would create masterpieces, while in the back..he would save lives. It seemed a fair trade, one to make honest coin, to only be traded for the limitless sin of blood and death--life and creation. Who said you could not bring back the dead? "Good evening," His voice like silk over the cool evening air, as he tipped his chin in direction to a guard who shivered in his wake--forever the heart of fear no matter what his trade, he had come to accept. On his way back from dinner, he kept his books well under his arm, and walked with his cane as always the cooler air brought havoc to a scarred body.
Ealora:Tucked away in her lands. Seemed like the right idea and for the longest time, it was perfect. Wrapped away in what could only be described as heaven on Earth. She had come to love Red Wall the moment she set eyes on it and from the moment she set eyes on it, she had watched it blossom to life, both nature's works and if hers and Maahes with the refugees and their children. She was blessed and she knew it. Blessed with more then she ever thought possible for herself. Still there was the need to get out, to much time in Heaven idled the brain of hands that were used to working for hours on end a day. The kids gave her enough to work for through the hours and Ealora loved them but there were still the times she needed out, needed time alone to think and to roam as she had done in the old days. She had made a promise to Perry and intended to keep it. When she arrived at the shop, it was dark, the door locked. Oh she could of waited aside, leaned against the wall but what fun was that. In a way only Perry and Jean Claude would understand, she had gotten inside and simply....waited, waited within the darkness, letting it wrap around her like a blanket. She heard the cane, despite the thickness of walls and windows. A slow grin crept over her lips as she leaned against a table, what was upon it, she didn't know, at least nothing was knocked over. Again, she was content to wait, knowing very well, her presence would surprise him, at least by being there but not within the shop. There was no shocking him. That was not the case. She simply wanted to keep her promise but more importantly, she wanted to see the man who had come to be like a brother to her.
Jean-Claude:"Good Evening, Ealora." He said with a warm smile as the door was pressed open and his cane would come to rest against the keep wall. "You know it is not polite to sneak up on the handicap." He grinned, flipping a switch and the crank of gears would turn above their head and pulled back a black board to allow a chandelier fall from it's dark depths filling the room with light. He was a man of genius though so many called him crazy. It was a marvelous sight, the shine of the crystal casting glorious colors across the walls before settling down to fill the dark void with warm golden light. He would try to think of something with whit to say..something more like the master, but all he could do was smile. It had been too long! "Mon cher..you have been gone from these eyes for far too long." A kiss to her cheek, long before thin arms came to circle her hips and pull her into a warm embrace, "I dare hope all is well." So many times unexpected visits came with desperate times, but it warmed him to know they always came to him for help. "Your sister, is she well?"
Ealora:"Hello Jean Claude" Her voice purred from the darkness until the click of the switch met her ears and her head lifted to watch the blackboard swivel away and the chandelier slowly recede downward. A slow grin pulled at her lips, crazy? Never. He was indeed a genius and the contraption marveled and amused her. Celadon eyes shifted in his direction as she pushed upward from the table, her face turning into the kiss at her cheek as her own arms encircled him and likewise pulled him into an embrace. "Mmm, much to long, I miss our late night talks when you would sneak your head into my bedroom window and call me out into the night." She let her face press into the curve of his shoulder for a moment before lifting to meet his gaze. "Everything is fine, it is very well. I just got Issa and Eppie horses of their own and built Maahes his training school, and it won't be stopping there." Lips pressed together as her shoulders rose and fell before her lips parted in a sigh. "I can only assume so, I have not seen her in quite some time. But I came to see you and your store of course. I was surprised to hear of it."
Jean-Claude:He listened to her talk, the sweet sound like the waves rushing the shore her voice rose and fell all the same, but something in his eyes told a different story. There was madness with kindness, black eyes like glass seemed distant as if listening to the rhythm of something else. "And your husband I hear he is well..but what of you? How have you been feeling, Mon Ami?" He came to stand beside her, as long fingers traced over the surface of the table. "You have come to me for something have you not?" Was she really surprised? If she knew anything of him, of the secrets he kept she would not be. Peregrine kept him doing dirty work, but his heart was certainly pure. Yet, he loved another so fiercely that he cared very little she shared her bed for another. This brought him closer to her, her shop was not far, and it brought him to the surface. Already there was color upon his cheeks, flushed from time spent in the sun rather then in the underground. Reaching out his gloved hands took her own, to pull her against him in a dance, with the corner player carrying his tune well upon the strings of his art. "I dare ask, how have you been sleeping at night? Or better yet..what are your dreams?"
Ealora: "I am..."and she paused to find the right words. How did you explain having to take naps in the afternoon because you were so tired or eating more then three helpings from each meal and snacks in between because you were so damn hungry all the time? "fine..trying to keep busy, trying to spoil my kids and my husband." Her head dipped, her chin jutting downward as she watched his hand trace the table only to raise her chin to point up as she stared up at him. "You know, I am not sure if its because you see me so clearly or because you just see everyone so clearly that you know that." Her hand curled into his, the other coming around his shoulder as he pulled her into a dance. "I'm feeling...tired and then energetic, and then hungry, eating red meat a lot, but suppose that happens to keep me from doing other things.." She trusted him completely in dancing her about the room and so did not need to switch her eyes to make sure they were not bumping into anything. "I don't sleep much at night anymore, an hour or two. Since you know me so well, you tell me what I'm dreaming hmm?" She hardly made sense of her dreams as it was, explaining it seemed nearly impossible at this point.
Jean-Claude:Jean-Claude had yet to meet a woman that did not have to stare up. Yet he hoped she did not feel the need to feel so small against him. "And you have felt nothing?" He was shocked in asking, but how easy it was to forget how new she was to the entire matter. "My pet..Close your eyes." He whispered then ending their dance but let her remain in the middle of the open floor. It was a small space but it was free and open. "Peregrine, has not taught you as he should but I would assume this is what big brother's are for, no?" Shrugging away his overcoat the red silk of his shirt would pull free from his belt, and it nearly came to his knees. The flowing fabric could not stand still, with wide lace trimmed cuffs, but was it so strange that his attire seemed to have more life then any of his body. Pulling his long jet black strands over one shoulder he would tie a ribbon to keep them from his face, "Ealora..close your eyes , ma petite." His hand came then to touch her shoulder lightly rubbing as he stood at her back, and his thumb would plant at the top of her spine slightly adjusting her head to one side. "Let go.." He whispered across her neck as his free hand came to collect her own touching bringing it to press against her chest, where a very real heart beat inside her chest. "Listen.." He whispered again, the mint on his breath carrying over her flesh and over the why you do not sleep at night hmm?" He would press her back against his chest, circling his freehand around her hips holding firmly while the other still held her hand over her heart. "If it can not.." He smiled and inhaled lightly, trailing her hand down her frontside slowly between her breast and over the smoothed surface of her stomach..until it fell even lower, but just before he reached the heat of her sex he stilled her hand, "perhaps this one will be your answer." Against her palm nothing was felt, no human could hear what passed between mother and child then, but the fast sound of a bird's wings beating fast in the wind--made up the sound that would enter her ears next. It was connection between mother and child, and perhaps there were more--this one was the only one heard.
Ealora:No, she did not feel small in his arms, he was as lanky as she was, if not taller. The only person she ever felt small in within their arms, was Maahes but even then the feeling was so minimal. "What do you mean felt nothing?" A slender brow rose in both question and confusion before a smile slid over her lips as she humph'd in a laugh. "Since when has Perry ever taken responsibility over anything but himself?" Though she bashed him, she loved him. Perry, not as one would a lover, it was very twisted kind of love, unexplainable. It was not the passionate love for her soul mate or the love she felt for Jean Claude. Such love and hate rolled into one. She teased with the words, not meaning harm in them but Jean Claude knew better then anyone of Perry, even her. The smile curved even tighter over her lips, pulling wide the large lips upon her face. Rather then close her eyes the first time he asked, she watched in fascinated confusion as he shrugged from his coat. With his second request, she let out a sigh and let her lids slid closed as she rolled her shoulders for a moment then settled as his hand touched there. For a long moment, she was still, feeling his hands soothing against her shoulder and back. When he lifted her hand, she did not resist, feeling the beat of her heart the moment his hand brought her own to touch at her chest over the beating organ. She inhaled as he breathed out the question, smelling the mint on his breath, the very vibration of his ginger soft voice. "Yes, I feel it.." She shuddered as she breathed the words out but her face twisted in confusion. She didn't understand what he meant but it did not matter, she felt his breath wash over her again as his hand trailed down with hers between her breasts, feeling his hand against the sides of her breasts even as it slid between the gap and she felt a shudder run through her body, raising her arms with goose bumps at the physical sensation even she couldn't help. Her head turned as he pressed her hand lower and finally stopped and she felt it, a flutter against her hand, like the vibrations the heart made against the chest and then she heard it, like listening to a still day and the beat of the rapid beat, much faster then an average adult human. The beat of a child's heart..and it was within her. She let out a gasp, rasped with a cry as her eyes flew open, the tear collecting within the corner of her eye fell, missing the curve of her breast, the small pout of her stomach only to splash against his finger tips. "Oh!" Her hand slid from under his and pressed against his, as if she couldn't possible believe it on her own, pressing his hand there, wishing, no praying she wasn't the only one to feel...to hear it. "Really? I'm not just hearing things, Jean, Really? I'm pregnant?" Each word seemed rushed and yet each punctuated just so, as if she mumbled it would make it all untrue.
Jean-Claude:"Yes, my beloved friend, you are..and have been for some time." He smiled then raising his gloved hand to brush away the tears, "You crave foods you should not have..you rest is incomplete..and your moods..Maahes has had horrible scratches on his back from mighty strong hands." He smiled, raising her hand then and kissing it. "He brushes them off with your moods, ready to claw his eyes at out, or his back for more. You wear the poor soul out, but this comes with child. You tell me you have been feeling tired..this baby takes all of you." He smiled so much then so very happy for her. He was thrilled that finally she could have another, their family would grow..and more importantly her husband would stop breathing hot air down his back. "You tell me..what was it your heard?" He sat back then upon the table, tired the simple act took much out of him, and it had been a long day. Was that a bruise on his jaw? Or shadow? "Go quickly, tell your husband. Run run, my love go go." He quickly motioned her off, "Then come back to me in the morning?" He needed to rest.
Ealora: Ealora was never one for blushing but it rose to golden tinted skin as he spoke of Maahes clawed back only to kiss her hand. What could she say, she was addicted to her husband but with JC's words, she realized, she needed to be more careful, he was certainly doing so with her. Eyes closed as he brushed the tears from her cheeks. Happy, excited, relieved, anxious, tired, elated. All emotions that ran through her, she could hardly pick up on one before it was rushing to another. "I heard..."An she inhaled and breathed out a deep sigh, still unsure if she could believe it and yet she completely did. "I heard a flutter, a rapid beat, like a birds wings, small but fast, a small heartbeat..."She stopped then, grinning from ear to ear. She believed it, their family was going to grow, she was not broken. The smile slid slightly on her lips noticing the bruise. Or was it shadow? No she didn't like it either way but he mentioned telling Maahes and she could not help grinning again. "Tomorrow Morning, first thing, promise.."She had turned to the door then stopped, moving to him, she embraced him in a tight hug before her hands raised to cup his face and gently kiss his lips. "Thank you"She purred against his lips and just like that, like the touch of silk as it slid against the skin on its way to the floor, her hands left his face and she was gone. The door had not even seemed to budge.

Maahes:A month had passed quickly, but it seemed like years since he had last step foot home. The campaign trails had been rough, but nothing like war. It was nice to see to the rest of the country to check in on points, and keep the people content letting know their leaders were keeping well to the word. Maahes had let a band of his finest to scout for new recruits as well be at his side. Though there was little reason to worry of attack they kept well armed, and with every town they entered...reason to doubt was quickly washed away. The flags held high, the trumpet would roar through the valley to see their General home. Maahes was thankful to see his children playing in the cool crisp autumn air. They came running, quickly to meet him half way--glad once again to have daddy home. Nora would let Ra down so that he could fight his way through the tall grass upon his knees, hands going just as fast to show daddy he can crawl!
The Wind an Mist: A month passed very smoothly, for once she didn't argue to go, not being part of the army but naval fleet, there had been many times she had been on solid ground to fight. This wasn't a fight but to keep the faith of the people and check in on things. She was content to stay home, for now and in her condition, it was easier to sleep with him gone then it had before. She had heard the approach long before she had seen him, though perched on a blanket in the tall grass playing with the baby, it wouldn't of been till he was making his way to her that she would of seen him anyway. The children were a good alarm system and she grinned as they took off towards the courtyard to greet him. She waited till Nora had set the baby down to crawl towards his father to hold up a hand to be helped up. She wasn't large yet but a quarter moon hidden behind a sari and she was beginning to find it difficult to get up and down easily. Four months nearly and all ready a quarter moon, she knew this baby was going to be as big as his or her brother, if she only knew. Nora chuckled as she helped Ealora to her feet. "It's not funny" She grumbled to the old woman but grinned all the same as she took her own turn moving through the grass to greet her husband.
Maahes: Ra squealed when he was picked up, by the mountain he called father, but Eppie all but cackled when she was thrown over one shoulder. Issa...would not be swept up, Maahes had always been more careful with pressing himself upon the boy, but he still bent to kiss the boy's head, "Protecting our castle yes son?" Issa smiled and nodded, but Eppie grinned even further. "I know you keep a close eye hmm?" Maahes kissed her cheek before sitting her down. In the distance his wife took his breath away..in one of her Sari's, an Indian wrap not of his country but still a work of art. "Wife. You have grown younger since I am away?" A tease in his voice as he kissed her fully, his lips melting into her own and his free arm to wrap around her shoulders. Ra would be between them and laugh pulling on his mother's hair before going back to his favorite teething object..daddy's dirty armor. Slipping his arm behind Ealora he would tuck her under his arm, and kiss her temple once more. "And was I missed?"
The Wind an Mist: Ealora could not help but grin at the children squeals of delight. For a life filled with seeing her own wishes completed, now that she a mother, she lived for their happiness, for the childhood she had and hopefully one that continued as they aged and she had been denied, of her own making, this she accepted but she wasn't to see them children for as long as possible, happy and untouched by the cruelty of life for as long as possible. "Oh yes, I am younger, found the fountain of youth while you were gone, no chance to tell you." She teased with a roll of her eyes but she opened up as he kissed her, melting against him as her mouth opened to the assault of his lips. Gods above this man was an addiction she could never quit! It was only when Ra pulled at her hair did her lips break from his in a laughing pout "Ow, fingers baby" She cooed to the little boy, he was growing so fast...but soon, not to soon. "Ra, don't suck on that!" She grimaced and pushed against the babies forehead to get him away from the armor. "Oh of curse you weren't, we had a blast, destroying the house by day, playing all night in our mess." She continued to tease with an upturn of her lips. "Course my lover was sad to leave seeing as you were coming home but he didn't want to die." Now that was a full on tease, Ealora would never betray Maahes in that way. Her arm curled about his waist as he tucked her under his arm an against his hip, hard to tell at this point who was who. "Of course you were" She finally purred against his shoulder, short little chyt she was couldn't reach his ear.
Maahes:"What lover." He narrowed his eyes glaring down to her, short chyt that she was..he loved her for it. "Kissing your husband with lips that have been on another?" He growled, but let his hand slip behind her and squeezed that rump of hers. "You best be careful..you have a very protective husband." He bent to whisper in her ear, so the children could not hear.."I will be happy to remind you of your lover." A nip at her earlobe before he grinned, and looked down at Ra who was still chewing on his leather, "You get teeth?" Maahes would put his finger inside the baby's mouth and figure out real quick how many. "He has many teeth!" Laughing then. "You grow too fast boy..my boy. My Son." He ran his hand through the child's hair, the dark curls soft and Ra would start to roll his eyes back in his head and close them soon after. Nora would smile seeing a tired baby if she knew one! But Maahes wasn't ready to give up just yet. The leaves were changing the air was cool, and he was thankful to be home with his family. "My house still stands..Viv keep good cleaning? Cook? You have not gotten thin." And for this he was as well thankful!
The Wind an Mist: "Oh a tall dark and handsome, much cuter then you" She continued to tease till he squeezed her behind and she squealed as her body arched forward. "Maahes" She hissed but a laugh followed. "Mmm, be careful yourself, I am planning on taking you up on that reminder." She purred in response, taking advantage of his lean to capture his head so her lips could catch his, she held the kiss for a moment or two before releasing him, nibbling on his lips before she released his head all together. Hormones, had to love them, mood swings and nausea, not so much. Her head leaned against his arm as he talked with the baby, beaming as he exclaimed over the babies teeth. "He is growing fast." She sighed though with the mention of Viv. She wasn't so sure she liked the girl anymore. "Oh she is cleaning and cooking fine and when its not that, its Maahes this and Maahes that. I think you found an admirer." She hugged against his arm and waved Nora off with the other, even if Ra was getting sleepy, he hadn't seen his father in a month, Maahes had not been able to hold him in a month, put him down himself. She wanted their son to have as much of his father as he could. "No I have not gotten thin" She laughed then and began to chew on her bottom lip. "Actually, I have something to tell you. I was trying for a few weeks, and then you were planning the campaign and then you left and I just..I wanted to do something special or tell you in a special way but.."She stopped, she was rambling. "Maahes, I'm pregnant"
Maahes:"Well, why you were sleeping with Tall Dark, I would get an extra meal?" Where did he learn to talk like that? His tease would be finished once he watched her face frown, and he touched her cheek gently, "I am sorry you have such a handsome husband. It is hard..truly to be wanted so bad." He ran his hand over her hip, but silenced as she spoke..his heart coming to a stand still. Ra wanted down, and so his father let him as he saw a small cricket rush over his daddy's boots. Maahes would keep his eye on him, but listen to the words his wife spoke. "You are?" Confused as he thought she could not, but the wrap of her Sari was easily accessible by the tips of his fingers as the edged along the inner folds of the fabric until his hand came to run over the round portion of her stomach, and he smiled. It was a small smile at first, but soon took over his face with a small laugh then. "And you are well? You have seen JC?" He turned fully to face her wrapping his arms around her and squeezing tightly. "Ealora.." He kissed her then, an excited kiss. "This is.." He could not make sense any longer.
The Wind an Mist: A slender brow arched upward. Where HAD he learned to talk like that indeed. Both of them were jealous types, not that they couldn't joke but the look begged him to actually take up on that. She couldn't help but let out a laugh when he said he was sorry she had such a handsome husband. It was funny as it was true. "Just as sorry as I that you have a beautiful wife that attracts trouble from the wrong men. At least this girl seems sane." She fell silent as he looked down at her. For once, she couldn't read his face. She blinked at his first response. Ok she hadn't been expecting that. "Do you really think I'd let myself get fat for no reason?" she fell silent again as his fingers ran around the edge of the sari to her belly and the smile began to creep ever slowly across his lips until his whole face seemed to glow. "I am very well, as if the baby. I have seen JC yes, he was the one who opened my eyes to my condition, I and our baby are doing very well, I have seen the new midwife while you were gone, we're both developing well though she says I am growing more then normal women, but she saw the notes Avery made in my pregnancy with Ra, so she said its understandable" She let out a laugh as he wrapped her up into his arms. Her lips opened to his kiss before she was burying her face into his shoulder. "Wonderful..."She finished it for him though it might not of been the right word. "I know..I'm not broken.."she laughed again as she nuzzled her face against his shoulder.
Maahes:"I like you fat." He smiled curling her in further while Ra started to chew on his shoe. "My God would not let you be broken..he sees the strength we have in our sons, and daughter." Maahes grinned bending to take their son back up, and curling him in his arms. "We will have many more." The boy reached out then with a little cry for his mommy wanting her very dearly, as he was well tired. "Come inside. I want to see my home. We will have celebration! Vivian! Nora! This week comes I want this entire valley full of friends, and family. We celebrate this great news!" He would hand Ra off to his mother who then happily took to her sticking his thumb in his mouth and closing his eyes. Maahes would move inside to bathe, and see to it the celebration would take! Giddy.
Ealora:"Well then your bound to be happy cause its still a while away and a couple more pounds to gain before this baby makes itself known to the world." Though she rolled her eyes as she spoke, she wasn't looking forward to the fat part just yet. Give her a couple of months when the baby was moving and kicking and she would be in seventh heaven. "Many more, years apart please, I don't want to be constantly as big as a house and barefoot hmm" Her arm looped around him as they walked towards the house. A celebration, really? She cringed at the thought of all that work in putting it together but the truth was she was as giddy as her husband and could not deny him this, not when it made him so happy. Taking the baby into her arms, she kissed his head and shrugged her shoulders as both women gave her a blank look of are you kidding me?. "Nora, get out my notes from the last autumn celebration."
Nora:Nora nodded, tears of joy in her eyes(now that she was allowed to bask in the glow of it!) muttering as she went to find the notes. "oh a new baby, oh happy day, a whole new nursery, oh changing and feedings! oh joy, oh happy day!" Ealora quietly chuckled as her attention turned to Vivi. "If you could make a list of items we need from the market..." She was trying with the girl.
Vivi:Vivi stared after Maahes then turned to Ealora and nodded. "Oh of course, anything my lord wishes done for this...joyous news" Her bottom lip chewed and the girl disappeared into the kitchens.
Ealora:Ealora groaned, just keep trying, she needed a distraction. "Oh Maahes, remember that reminder you would be oh so happy to give me..." She called as she moved down the hall to put the baby down.
