Danae = Danae made her way down the Turas Lan market streets, nothing and no one in tow as she needed a few hours away from anything that was work related. With nothing more than her daggers and her katar with her, she moved freely about. Talking to a couple of the vendors here and there, keeping a careful eye on a few mischievous looking boys. A couple walked by holding hands and Danae found herself watching with a small smile before she turned her attention back to a vendor, bidding the woman a good afternoon and making her way further down. She of course got a few looks from those that didn't understand her or misunderstood the things they saw or heard about the Greek woman. It was a funny thing really, both she and her brother being of the Greek nation and finding themselves the reason for quite a bit of talk among some of the people in the city.
Ada = After spending the afternoon with Aman, Ada returned to her shop to take care of a few things in the still room. The bottles of pure oil she produced glistened in the candlelight, and judging by the look on her face, the results could not have been any better. "Corks. I need corks," she muttered to her shop assistant, and went rummaging beneath the counters for the items. She found some, but they weren't the right size, and nearly took off an entire fingernail whittling one down to size. The injured nail merely lopsided with the indignity, Ada decided now was a good time to quit, shut her shop doors and latched the shutters, and decided to pester her favorite tailor after the dress she had in mind. She stuck the finger in her mouth as she walked, stopping here and there, but no vendor was worth removing the finger from her mouth for, much less parting with her money. But then she saw Danae, and she was certainly worth the effort. "Danae," she called, nudging her way through the crowd.
Danae = Danae was waving off a couple of the vendors, politely, in response to their provoking of trying to get the Commander to purchase some of their fine items. After taking a few more paces, the copper skinned woman would pause and look about in the crowd, that was now thinning as the day was nearing it's end. Icy blue hues gazed about until she found the one who called out for her. With nudging a few others to the side, she moved through the crowd in the direction to the shop keeper she remembered meeting a couple times already. ``Afternoon, is there something I can help you with?`` she greeted and asked as she looked about to see if maybe someone had been harassing the woman or took from either her or her shop without paying or asking permission. Seeing nothing that indicated such, she looked back to the herbalist and awaited a response. The Greek woman was tall like her brother, but not quite nearly as tall. She seem to tower over majority of those found here in Skye and her skin certainly set her apart from the others here, easily.
Ada = And Ada was no exception. But she looked up to just about everyone, and Danae's height didn't particularly bother her. Or if it did, it didn't show on her face. She smiled. "I saw some gloves I thought you might like on the tanners' lane. Would you walk with me? I could use a pair myself." Ada had left the apron back at her shop, but other signs easily clued a person to what her profession was, even if her dress told a slightly different story. She'd still managed to smear a little green on the brown fabric, the blue chemise under her bodice a rich color, but a little too big for the healer, the sleeves wrinkled with being pushed up all day as they continued to fall past her wrists. She wore a belt with her purse knotted firmly to one side, pouches for whatever supplies she managed to pick up weighting the belt heavily to the left. "I swear, this is the last time a weed stabs me and lives to tell the tale, no?"
Danae = A single dark brow arched and her head canted while her face held a bemused look. The woman's words were not at all what she had expected but smiled and nodded before she began walking with the woman. ``Some gloves you say? Hm, well I suppose I should at least check them out. It is nearing time for me to get myself some new ones. These are beyond worn...`` she said as she held out her hands with the palms up as if to back up her statement. Thumbs came to loop back into the belt about her waist as they moved along. Her eyes glanced toward the woman at her side and wondered a few things. Danae remembered that not long ago, the herbalist had asked where she might could find Ren, her brother. ``I believe the last time we spoke, you were in search of my brother. I hope all is well? And he has not caused any problems for you?`` Danae thought maybe the reason was he might have promised the woman a pelt, or something else he usually made use of from his kills. Or...who knew, maybe he asked the woman for her assistance in something and she had it ready for him. Danae chuckled though and nodded with the woman's talk of weeds and their dangers.
Ada = Oh, how it would amuse Ada to know the obvious wasn't even on Danae's list of possible reasons Ada might have to find Ren. But since she wasn't a mind reader, despite some accusations, she merely nodded to the comment about gloves. "On sale, or so a customer says. We merchants treat one another right. I recommend his name, he recommends mine, and we all have a bit of extra coin to spend on other merchants," Ada offered with a laugh. "Even Paris was not this free. There was such tough rivalries between the lanes, it often got violent. Mm, yes -- all is well between Ren and myself. Problems? I could not think of a single one." She wondered if it was her place to tell Danae about their relationship, but since it was one without labels, Ada wouldn't feel too guilty for leaving the honors to Ren. "I thought you could use some gloves. I go through them so quickly myself, and I do not do anything too difficult with them." Aside from battling weeds, but as luck would have it, the weeds in her garden were nearly insignificant, thanks to the purging by fire from the invasion. She could honestly say she had never been luckier in all her life.
Danae = Danae nodded softly before letting her head hang as they walked and she listened. ``It's good that despite the competition here, a few are still capable of helping others with the understanding that if I scratch your back, you scratch mine. I find the people here are very kind, very helpful, just cautious and weary. Which, I can't say that I don't blame them. This land like many others has suffered a great deal thanks to their adversaries.`` The Commander took a minute to pause before continuing. ``Good.. glad to know that he's capable of behaving for a change. Though, should he cause you or any of your fellow shop keepers and vendors trouble...please do tell me. I'm always looking for a good reason to beat his head in.`` with that, she chuckled. ``To be honest, I don't need a reason, but.. this way I can get away with it much easier.`` she jested. Eyes lifted and focused forward as she replied about the gloves. ``Gloves I think wear out to easily, whether you are tending to gardens, or tending to training, battles and wars.``
Ada = "They are, and I am glad to see this. Paris, I think, though many claim she is a feminine city, one of love -- I think these people have never lived in Paris -- " she cleared her throat. "She can be needlessly cruel sometimes. Whereas the most cruel thing I have seen here is indifference, and that rarely. I came during a difficult time, too, just before the invasion, and I saw so many being so kind to their neighbors, it assured me I came to the right place. I was worried for a bit," Ada offered, indicating they turned here, and walking alongside the much taller woman down the tanner's lane, which smelled rather ... unique. But her vendor was right where her customer had said he'd be. "If I had a coin for every time a woman came to my shop and claimed she did not use her hands! Gloves wear out because we use them." With just a little bit of sarcasm in her voice, Ada smiled at the Ranger. "I will keep this in mind for the days he is a stubborn ass. I am obviously ineffectual and slightly ridiculous when I make these threats." Laughing, she turned to the cart and began sorting through the pile for what she needed.
Danae = ``I've come to see a great deal of good things here in Skye. Back where I was before, in Avaria... days like these were rare and even more so when one after another.`` she replied. It did sadden the Commander to think that the former homeland had become what it was now after so many battles won before this last one. Though, the copper skinned woman had also come to know that all good things must come to an end... sooner or later. Sadly for the Ranger, it was often sooner. But, with what didn't kill you, it only made you stronger and Danae had become quite the woman if one could compare her now to what she was say even a year ago. The Greek woman moved along with Ada when she indicated the turn they needed to take. ``War is difficult for all. From the sovereign to the peasant...no choice or consequence in relation to it is easy to make or cope with. But here, I think it's brought the people closer and there is more of a willingness to work together than before.`` The Commander went silent for a few paces until the reached their destination. ``He can be that... and a big one at that.`` she said in reference to her brother before chuckling. As Ada began to sort through the pile, so did the Commander.
Ada = "I think so, too, though I did not know them before. But that is fine, I think. They are fine now, and my neighbors are good people. Could hardly ask for better." She found a thick pair of gloves that looked as though they might fit her small but lean hands. Unfortunately, the leather sunk so far down her arms that she couldn't bend her wrists. She tossed them back onto the pile. "He says it is a family trait. But you know, I like that he is so stubborn. It is good to know what he wants. It eventually outs." Ren was beyond definitions for Ada, but she liked how he was slow to form his opinions, but certainly knew what his wants and desires were. He was stubborn about getting his way in the important matters. Everything else he simply deferred to wiser heads, and Ada couldn't argue with that logic. It was important to fight for what you believed. She found another pair and slid them on. They seem to do the trick. She bargained with the shop keeper out of ritual and loosened the strings of her purse to find the proper coin, then tucked the gloves into her belt.
Danae = ``I think as time goes by, you'll find even more things you like about this city. People can be harsh at times, but that is every where you go. I for one should know it first hand with all the lands I've traveled.`` Danae had been to many lands and though there was no place like home, her real home, Skye was very close to it. She missed Greece, missed the large elegant and detailed temples, halls, and other beautiful buildings in their shade of brilliant white that clashed with, yet, complimented with the colors of their surroundings. The lush gardens, the friendly people, and the food. She also missed the patch of forest that could be found between Kalamata and the ocean. Maybe one day she could return, but for now, she was needed here and it was here she would stay. The copper skinned woman continued to sort through the gloves, having removed her old ones that were now tucked into the belt about her waist, and trying on a couple pairs, which neither felt right to her. ``He's a good man, just.. I think he has troubles he doesn't wish to share. Is to much like me and wants to face them head on by himself. That of course just makes the stubbornness all the more worse at times.`` she said with a self smirk. Another pair was found, slid on and long slender fingers flexed and curled to test the gloves. Feeling they were perfect, Danae reached into the pouch on her belt to fish out the coin and pay the man.
Ada = "Mm," Ada agreed, watching the Ranger sort through the gloves, listening carefully to what was said and not said. She missed her home, too, but had not been back in over ten years. She had willingly turned her back on it, though had not burned any bridges and could return at any moment she chose. Still, returning after all she had gone through seemed sad. After seeing the world, it was hard to return home, and see it for what it once was, without seeing it as what it was not. But it was hard to belittle the Alps. "He is a good man. A very good man. Whatever his troubles are, I am glad he has more than one person to rely on, to hold his hand through them. Even if we cannot accompany him in person." Ada was a healer, after all. Despite all her pragmatic words and hard-earned skill, there was no substitute for holding someone after a terrifying dream or seeing that person laugh again despite unknown pain. She shrugged. "It might make him stubborn, but I think other good words are resilient, and strong."
Maahes = The passing of the day came swiftly, and the streets were busy with the return of the militia. For three days the battle was to be here, of correcting war mistakes and keeping peace inside the city walls. It was with his patrol the General walked through the streets, creating his visual of the damages done. For what seemed to be years he had felt himself pulled home, to a land long before this Isle, but not as far back to the deserts in which he came. No, Maahes thought of the haunted Isle of Avaria and longed to return, even with the fall of the King. Perhaps he would call it fate, the passing of the people, and with a sea of unfamiliar faces the one and only he knew--the only other Avarian left. "Danae." He said with a smile brushing off the guards who flanked him, letting them fall wayside with the rest, and he would close the distance between them only a few steps. Quietly.. politely the Beast would raise his hand to her shoulder clasping it firmly as to announce himself, but would wait until she was finished speaking. Oooooh, somebody got some manners beat in him!
Danae = Danae had willingly left her home as well, all to remain close by to her brother and father. There would never come a day she would regret such a move. That one decision however had come to define the woman that now walked these very streets. With the training from her father, a once Tallion along side the once King of Avaria, and fellow Ranger, Apollo. Danae had not only learned the skills of her fathers people, but those he had come to gain and then pass to her and her brother when he served with Apollo. As the copper skinned woman turned to walk with Ada, the sea of people seem to part as the Lord General and his men moved in. When Danae felt the hand to her shoulder and the normally loud booming voice, which was now more like a drum than thunder, she smirked before turning to face him. ``Maahes...`` she said with a arched brow. ``It's good to see you made it back in one piece...I would hate to have to go and kill a few people on your behalf.`` she teased, truth was, she would have done that anyway. The Greek Commander offered out her other hand, ready to take it and clasp it like the brothers in arms they had always been, no matter what land they served together. Once the shake was done with, she looked between Maahes and Ada. `` Ada, I'd like to introduce to you, a man I am sure you have at least heard of if not yet met, -- Lord General Maahes Asad Aziem.``
Ada = Ada nodded to Danae's words. The siblings shared the ability to say what was necessary, and never more than that, though there could be a world between the spaces of those words. Since she knew the story, for the most part, she didn't pry -- though it wasn't in her nature to do so anyway. They moved away from the gloves and walked slowly through the market, though they hadn't gotten far at all when Danae stopped. Ada turned and, had she not already been introduced to Ren, would have claimed to see a man who exceeded the height Ada thought men capable of achieving. He was huge. She had to take a step back just to see his face! Ada was quiet as the two spoke. They had some familiarity with one another, and there was nothing quite like seeing old acquaintances run into one another again. She smiled and bobbed her head. "A pleasure, my Lord General. I have heard a great deal about you indeed." Though rumors about height weren't quite accurate, she'd note.
Maahes = Maahes was shy, something he could never help, and often it came across as rude. Yet, deep down inside this hulk was a heart of gold, and as his eyes passed between the two he'd give the much smaller woman a nod. However, he would now comment, but turn his attention back to Danae. "Do I interrupt?" Broken English rolled from his lips like distant thunder settling through a valley. Clearly written behind amber eyes, the feelings of pure bliss to see his friend, but only would he grin with her comment, "I am back in one yes, but leave in two if I do not settle the city. Have you anything to report? Whispers say the forest is alive with thieves. An army grows in the wood. It is why I am returned." Someday Maahes, someday you'll get this English right. Passing then his eyes again, burning judgmental eyes to the healer he would observe everything about her as she were his prey, and this was a hunt. She looked like the sort to frolic in fields--damn hippies.
Danae = Danae's icy blue hues drifted from one face to another as the introduction was made and then allowed herself to grow quiet so the two newly acquainted could address or speak to one another. When they had done what they would, Danae looked back to Maahes. She was one of a select few that did not have to strain so much to meet his gaze. The Commander though Greek, was often called or compared to an Amazon. Danae wasn't exactly sure if she should take that as a compliment or an insult. With Maahes's comments that were followed by a question, her brows furrowed and she gave a shake of her head. ``No, I have not heard anything of the sorts. Perhaps my men are not going as deep into the forest as they should. And I have nothing to report other than the normalcy for complaints about the usual rift-rafts.`` replied the Commander to the General. ``As far as if you're interrupting, no, we are only talking of what comes to our minds. Enjoying what's left of the day and purchasing some gloves, that we both agree on, wear out entirely to quick these days.`` she said with a grin as she glanced from Maahes to Ada and back. Danae knew that look all to well. A hand came to his shoulder, her way of silently letting him know, she wasn't the trouble making kind he might suspect her to be.
Ada = Ada could see the look on Maahes' face. And she was just a little bit irked by it. She was very presentable today! Never mind the slightly low-cut of her chemise and the tight lacings of her dress -- any lower or tighter, and she might have gotten a discount on the already cheap gloves -- her hem respectably hid her ankles and booted feet, her hair was half-swept away from her face, and she was walking like a respectable woman. For once. Minx she might be, Ada also had a profound sense for the appropriate. Hmph "Well, I have not seen any thieves in the forest. I comb through them fairly regularly for supplies." Mentioning mushrooms would only earn her a raised brow, as they were out of season, and she didn't care to explain the hows or whys of fungus. "Should I be worried?" she looked to Danae. She was flattered at the restraining gesture she gave Maahes, but of course Ada was the trouble-making kind. The best kind, really. After causing trouble, there was always plenty of cheese, bread, and pickled mushrooms -- and Ada's charming, witty company, of course. "Sure, join us," the French woman offered, the sing song of her natural accent hiding the dryness of her words. He'd be kind to recall she did not at all treat him like the brute he looked.
Maahes = "Only if you break laws." His voice rumbled from his chest, with a narrow of dark eyes. With the feel of Danae's hand he eased, and would fall in behind them as they walked. Suddenly he felt himself on parade, though with the victory of the battle, and the reputation of the women the stares of the city folk shouldn't come as surprise, but this was something he would frankly never get used to. Maahes did not have to pay for anything, gifts always gifts as if the people were afraid to take his money. Even his children were outcasts among the rest, for the simple fact they lived in fear of the man's retaliation should one fall. Maahes beat the father of the child who had picked upon his golden haired bastard son of the Pirate Peregrine. He had broke the man's nose in for the man's implication Maahes did not teach his son to fight back. "You spend much time in the forest?" Would be enough to raise any brow of a desert born son, as the empty feeling of the woods was far too much like the baron sands of his homelands. "Are you ranger?" So started the questions.
Danae = The dark hand left the General's shoulder and came to rest at her side, mirroring the other. As they stood in place a moment, those arms did rise and cross over her chest a short while before they were all moving off and making their way further down the street. Danae was very good at judging people based on first impressions. Okay, so maybe one or two slipped by, but for the most part, Danae was right on the money. Ada didn't look like the type to intentionally cause trouble, accidentally? Maybe. She listened as the others spoke, her thumbs coming back to loop into the belt about her waist. Answering Ada's question, the Commander gave a shake of her head. ``No, nothing to worry about to much I'm sure.``She slowed her steps so Maahes had no trouble keeping up with her or Ada and as far as the stares that came their way, Danae was tempted to do something for a little added drama.
Ada = Maahes was hilarious. She glared briefly at him, but life was meant for living, not living disliking someone. It was also for second, third, and fourth chances, despite all suspicions to the contrary that a new acquaintance was not, in fact, a complete ass. "Oh, I assume life is very dangerous if you break the laws. Which I do not. I am an apothecary. Naturally, I spend plenty of time in the woods." Doing apothecary-like business, of course. And not wandering among flowers with pirates or luring hunters into strange groves. Ahem. "I grew up in forests like these. Well, similar to. Our mountains were much bigger." She missed the mountains of her home. Not fiercely -- more like an ache, looking for landmarks wherever she went that just didn't measure to the snowy peaks of the Alps. "And colder, too, I must remind myself. There are benefits to living so low to the sea level, ah?"
Maahes = "A great advantage indeed. But in my lands, what you do is often accused with witch craft, but none come from mountains.." He asked with a dark brow rose, as she confused him with big words..and a fast tongue. "But there was once a witch who could touch and heal. Her healing took all the pain from wars away, the ones that stitches could not. Are you such a witch?" He asked honestly, as it was clear with how his shoulders were held he carried such a pain; of horse rides, of battles, and worn years that was not easily cured by a lone healer. It was internal, sleep aids, ache relief, and muscle relaxes; knocked him out for hours, but when he woke..all was well. Though Selene had many other tricks up her sleeves, and it would be a while before he would let someone in again. "I have heard only rumors, but before I correct England I will rid these lands..Danae, when you have a moments time will you come to my offices?" Yes that's right, "I stay in the castle until I can return with my wife. You can find me there.."
Danae = Oh if only Danae knew just who this woman really was and what she had done to her poor poor brother. No, Ren had not yet shared with his sister the Commander that he was seeing someone or given any indication as to who she might be. Nor had Danae shared with him the name and details between she and Alex. (Alendral) The two were purposely with holding information just to drive each other bonkers and out of stubbornness. It was good to hear though that the woman was one who liked the forests. The Commander often thought people let daily living take from them the simple joys of what was really beautiful about life. Untamed lands, the rich soils, the crisp clean air and the refreshing waters... Danae if it were possible could and would spends hours out there. The woman's very essence was that of the forests itself. It was her life...always would be. As Maahes spoke of witches, she knew exactly who he spoke of in reference to the abilities and skills she had -- Selene. Looking between the two, the Commander spoke. `` I believe the healer here, would do what she must to help those that she can in the best possible ways known.`` she stated and then looked to Maahes. ``Of course.. I'll make it appoint to come by soon...`` she replied with a nod as her hands casually folded back behind her while the trio continued their stroll.
Ada = She opened her mouth to protest, but then realized he was accusing her of nothing. Rather, he seemed to be asking for help. It was a curious way to go about it, even Ada admitted, trying to unclench her fists. Accusations of witchcraft, even the word itself, could spell death for her -- a painful, violent death that she knew too well. It was close to her, so near an occasional breeze from the ferrier's brought back horrific memories of the night Paris' greatest minds burned on mass pyres. She inhaled and exhaled with only a moment of difficulty and the smile reappeared. "I am an apothecary, not a witch," she corrected lightly, with a nod to Danae. "What skills I know are from the plants beneath your feet, and thousands of years of study to make medicines that cure your men when they come home to Skye, beaten, weary, diseased, and bloodied." The Arabic texts she had read diligently above her Master's shop alone were enough to see her jailed, but their words on hygiene were the difference between life and death for most she treated. "I am very good at what I do," she concluded softly, and let the other two speak, obviously having nothing more to say on the subject of witchcraft.
Maahes = "So you work on the cure for the black death?" He asked quickly stilling his steps, as the lines were drawn between her and the under dark. "Are you the healer who is sleeping with Ren? The one my guards pulled from a dead man's body? The night of the Winter Wolves healer's fight with my brother in law?" So many questions would have him close the path between them, cutting her off if she wished to run. "I need his name, and where his work is done. I'll kill and imprison any who refuse me answers, so let me make that clear. You walk a dangerous path, crossing with that man." His eyes rose to Danae, questioning her as well. "You will tell me if you see him, or his little friend.."
Danae = Danae could see how upsetting it was for the woman to be addressed as witch, and the copper skinned woman didn't blame her. Danae was often called many things, but none really seem to get under her skin except when people called her a heathen. That was an insult not only to her and her brother, but to her father and his people... their people. True, she was Greek and believed in the fabled Gods of Olympus, but she also had the beliefs of her father. It wasn't so much as a religion as it was a way of life. That one had to respect nature and all that it offered. To give thanks to what the earth provided and that all living things -- man, beast, plant, or other had a spirit, had a purpose to serve. Danae's listened carefully as Maahes asked a couple question, all were interesting of course, but none were as interesting as the one about her brother. Danae's eyes lifted and she looked to Ada. `` So it is you that's been occupying my brother's spare time...`` she said with a smirk. The Commander gave her an impish grin and waited for all the answers to the General's questions. However, Maahes seem to have a couple for the Commander as well. ``I'm done with bailing him out Maahes... what ever happens to him now... he'll not get any help from me anymore. Not after last time...`` and there, she would leave it at that. As far as the General knew, Danae had nothing to do with the pirates last jail break, so he would think the statement perhaps meant something way back when.
Ada = Oh dear. Ada wrapped her arms under her breasts and stared down Maahes as if he was not a good foot and a half taller than her. The look might have been perfectly complemented with a pair of spectacles at the end of her nose, so that the arch of her brows would be even more derisive and skeptical than they were at that moment. The expression softened momentarily on Danae's behalf, an apologetic half-smile before she returned to the General, and even tapped her foot in annoyance. "Yes. It is me. Ren and I are lovers. We have lots of wonderful sex every day, sometimes twice. What has this to do with anything?" He could check the dock master's logs if he wished. She had arrived just a few days before the English invasion. "I do not know who your in-laws are or why anyone would be willing to hurt them, but let me be clear. If any seek to find a cure for a disease? I would happily spend time in jail to protect his name." Before he could misinterpret that, Ada shook a finger at him. "But since I do not know any such person, and I have not been near any dead bodies in many months, please do us both the favor and stop accusing me of crimes I did not commit. Pardon me, Danae, but the company has grown sour." She would leave, but Maahes was blocking. She tapped her foot again, waiting for him to let her pass.
Maahes = The only reason he knew any of what they spoke, was for his men left nothing out. Uh..yeah,,M'lord she must be sleeping with the big guy..he was quick to defend her. "I know his name, ap..a..healer. I just need to know where he lives, what you know. If you do not see the danger in this, then perhaps you should have your eyes checked." He would step aside and let her pass, but would be quick to raise his voice, "You do not need leave your company." And with that he would turn on his step and start over the street. The men quickly coming to flank him, and orders were being given. "Put a post outside that woman's shop, her home."
Danae = Danae looked between the two and how many times had the Commander looked at the General with that very exact look. Only... Danae's eye color made it more... scary. When the healer looked to the Ranger, Danae just gave a soft shake of her head as a palm came to her face, dragged down the length of it before it remained over her full lips. The look on her face was one of amusement to say the least, and the smile was almost well hidden if it weren't for the high cheeks that grew firmer with the smiling action. Eyes drifted to Maahes before falling back on Ada as the woman wished to be excused and make her way ...elsewhere. The Ranger's hand lowered, and full lips disappeared as they were pulled inward for a moment. ``Right.. so.. yeah.. I will be coming by to speak with you soon.`` she said to Maahes and then looked to the healer who was now departing. ``Good evening to you Ada, we have much to talk about you and I...`` she said while bidding the woman a goodnight with a wide grin. Well, since the other two seemed to be heading off in other directions, Danae thought it best for her to check in at Ebony Hall and maybe locate her brother for a little... antagonizing fun.
Ada = Ada glowered the entire way back to her shop, muttering things about Maahes' parentage that might possibly make the man's ears blaze red. Ada could do a lot of things to put even sailors to shame. Cursing, tying knots, these were only two talents she prided herself in. He could post however many little guards he liked outside her shop, she didn't care. She had nothing to offer him, and took umbrage at the accusation of witchcraft, leading right into that of harboring information about another of her profession. So even if she didn't know who the man was, she sure would like to find out. She was also sure she would meet with Danae soon and they would have plenty to talk about, but right now, her temper was so heated it was a very good thing indeed she stormed right into her shop, up the stairs, and made herself a nice, calming cup of tea.
