Peregrine: The Under Dark: A series of tunnels winding through the city, below the buildings and into the earth. A secret well guarded, for generations they lay dormant. The Cat's Eye, at the end of Carnival Lane, where artisans gathered their goods, and side shows lined the walk. It was here, in the space between the Pirate found himself walking alone. The weather broke, shifting and changing with the rush of Spring. However it was the swarm of emotions that carried him lost down the trail of his own thoughts this night--the moon on it's rise. (d
Ealora: "A coin for your thoughts..."she seemed to melt from the shadows by his side. What she was doing in the under dark was anyone's guess but there was a gentleman within the alleyway holding his groin and groaning to ears that would not pick up the sound, simply because you didn't meddle in someone else's business, least you get a dagger in your own gut. Well, the man would think twice about trying to pull the General's wife into a dark corner now wouldn't he? Sari's and skirts left behind, the leather of her pants hugged tight to rolling hips that seemed sculpted from clay itself. She had gotten her 'figure' back quite easily after Ra's birth but she had to get her biting skill back, even she knew this and she was working on it. She was still biting mad at the pirate but she wasn't going to get into that just yet.*
Peregrine: Slow thoughtful steps switched well into a casual stride as hands came to bury themselves in the pockets of his overcoat. The dark fabrics were a well contrast against the brightness of the moon, and the lightness in his hair. Never once breaking from the lane before him, the heel of his boots thud against the stone, but it would be the sound of his voice that would break the silence. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you." Crystal hues of the brightest blue would meet her own as he cast her a glance, clearly very proud. Returning his attention to the streets he would smirk with a small laugh, "Funny how much this life fits you.." He grinned scanning the night ahead, "Then that of a privateer..you know..one of those" Looking around in his jest as to make sure none would hear the word, before he brought his face just a little closer to hers, "Pirates." Of course she would know the darker meaning, but in truth one should always be mindful of even their private thoughts in places like this, "The Little Princess there, days spent with her son, nights with her Prince. Has come to the dark side of the moon..Why?" The smile from his lips fell away, but remained very clearly inside his eyes. (d
Ealora: Sans her jacket to the cool night air, her thumbs laced with her belt were her trademark Sai's rested at either hip. Russet curls blew in the spring wind, let loose and she left them to blow as she moved in silence beside him. Celadon eyes watched the cobblestone of the street pass beneath a set of four boots that hit in even steps. "Oh I don't know about that..you've told me some unbelievable things to others. I've come to trust each and ever one eh?" Her head lifted to turn in his direction as a grin itched at the corner of her lips and shoulders rolled back to straighten her back. "Didn't always..."she mused on fitting in. "Ah come on Perry, you know as well as I that you have to be strong to fit into such a life, stronger still...to leave it..but love is more powerful then anything else on this earth. Can give a person the strength to change their course.."Princess? So I've been downgraded from Queen have I?" She hummed in mild amusement as her shoulders rolled forward again, lazily. "I want to know what you said to Maahes..You have his heart in turmoil Perry, I know the two of you have a past. Hell, we have a short past and I'm not about to lay rights and wrongs on either of our heads Perry. Lord knows we have enough of that but I'm asking you, to put past behind you...for Maahes it might be harder to do, but I've asked it of him and now I'm asking it of you. You called me for my help the other day, for what you did for me...I'll be forever in your debt, but if it involves wronging my husband again...I can't guarantee I'll be there, actually, I promise not to be there. My husband and family mean more to me....then even you..I'm proud of you Perry, despite picking the wrong path every time...you try to turn it around each time too. I'll be there to kick your ass onto the right path each time if need be Perry, but I won't allow you to come in between my husband and I again."*
Peregrine: He chuckled deeply, a heartfelt laugh that left his lips like a song, "Your husband.." He would grin shaking his head and turning a look to Ealora, "I needed to get him kicked out Ealora..believe it or not I was protecting him. He would attack me..my..." Searching for the right words he took his bottom lip between his teeth, "My familiars would detain him long enough to get Eirian away from him. He would take her from us.." Reaching out his hand surfaced from the pocket to loop her arm with his--linking them as he let his hand retire once again. His eyes fell forward once again, but it was clear the streets held little for his mind. The Pirate was lost, somewhere in his past and the sun was shinning through the black of his orbs. "You cherish your husband..each moment capture it, Mon ami..Even when he sleeps, keep him close to your heart. Trust me..there is much more you could be doing then giving empty threats to the one man who could kill you." Leaning in he would press a tender kiss to her cheek, a friendly empty kiss that held no lust or desire, but much love. Returning to the path he shook his head, "You do not need to answer that question..I can feel it here." His free hand came to touch his chest. "You know.." His eyes rose to the heavens then, the laugh lines beside his eyes deepening with his small smile, "I'm standing on the line..of right and wrong, thinking of which way..putting too much thought into my actions..I have become everything I've ever tried to beat out of you. What is wrong with the world, when I do not know where to go from here?" (d
Ealora: "Next time, think of something else...besides me." She turned her head to look at him, seeming content to take him at his word. "Perry...Eirian and I had every intention of getting you out of prison without regard to ourselves...I
am not going to speculate on what happened..." He linked his arm with hers and she did not resist though she had an urge to pop him in the back of the head. "I cherish him more then you know Perry...and I am not threatening you. I am asking you to put your past with Maahes behind you, you don't have to be best friends with him but stop goading him, stop irritating him. You know you can when you want to, snide comments.."Celadon eyes etched with perminate fire swung in his direction. A smile itched the corner of her lips as he kissed her cheek before continuing on. "Your always going to be on a line of right and wrong, Perry, we all are and most of us decide in the right, or decide to stay on the line, and not get involved.."Her arm squeezed his own as she let out a sigh. "No offense sweetheart, but I don't think you put enough thought into your actions. There is nothing wrong with the world Perry, you've just done things solely for yourself for so long, that it takes time, it takes painstaking time to change when now, your actions involve others. I think you stopped listening to your heart a long time ago. After so much time, its hard to hear it again, hard to trust it. It's ok not to know where to go from here. The point is, you think before you act, and try to stay on the line, you make the decision of you step off, for right or for wrong. I hope though, that you do it for the right. Not necessary what is right for you, you have people who care about you, so make them part of your decision, think, if its going to effect them, if it does, in a bad way, then don't do it. It will become as simple as that. It just takes time to trust it."*
Peregrine: As she spoke he listened the steps down the lane coming to fall in time together, two going down the same path but the destinations so very different. "I'm afraid..Does that make you feel less of me?" Eyes would bat then with a grin before he shifted his sight down to kick a stone from under his feet, "I'm forcing myself to be forced here. I could take your ship, I could take Skye's ship..but..I want to work for it.." Yeah..he was just as puzzled, "I'm not going to sleep my way to the top..but work..Now of course, you would not approve of it, but this line of work--has always been my best." The lane would end back in the streets of Turas Lan, where the military cleaned the bloody bodies from the streets. He would let her arm go before any could see, the closeness in their friendship had to be hidden, for the sake of her husband's sanity. "You have my word, Ealora. I will keep my comments to myself, keep you out of my plans..and help keep your peace." Lifting her hand he would place a tender kiss to the back of her knuckles before closing her fingers around a small charm of good luck. "Go..before he hurts himself.." Motioning to the line of men where her husband stood--deeply stressed and beyond ready to be home; and like that the pirate was gone. Back out into the night he left, to join the life he prayed she never had to live. (d
Ealora: "Don't be afraid Perry, I don't think less of you. I only think less of you when you do wrong, but I think better of you when you do the right thing. I suppose most people feel that way. Keep that in mind as well hmm?" Down the line of streets the two walked in perfect unison, not missing a beat or step that seemed to move pace for pace, step for step in sync. Her lips twitched into a smile again as she hummed in a small laugh. "I am proud of you Perry, working for it...will be hard but I have faith in you..regardless of if I approve of it or not. As long as your not hurting the right people, the good people, I will support you.." As his arm released hers, she finally got a look at where they had come. No big surprise but she grinned all the same. Her eyes found her husband before turning a look back at Perry as he kissed her knuckles, her hand strayed to his cheek, touching it lightly in a sign of silent affection. Yes she cared about him, but not how others would see it. He had become an unexpected friend but she wasn't about to abandon him regardless of what was going on. "I know you'll keep your promise, just..keep your comments to yourself...that's all I ask, keep the peace, yes? You need me, all you have to do is call." Her hand dropped from his face to turn her face back to where her husband stood with his men. Just like that Perry was gone and she was moving towards her true heart.
