A List of Leaders
Here is an ongoing list of current High Medieval rulers circa 1328. I chose 1328 because the Church has yet to sanction the Gregorian calendar, and it is still officially 1328. I included all dates and tried to be as specific as possible, but if you have any further questions, please check out the links provided.
1328 was a decidedly bad year for most rulers, and in most cases, I provided a link to their successors. However, I ran into difficulty with the Palatinate and the Italian City States. Leigha (anadecervillion) can certainly point you in the right direction regarding Italy, whereas any confusion with the Germans can easily be settled by referring to the Holy Roman Emperor as the de facto ruler.
The point of this list is not to hamper the creative storytelling aspect I love so much about Skye, but to offer a reference for play, particularly for those of us with internationally-minded characters. If, for any reason, you need the rulers changed, please feel free to send me an e-mail with a brief explanation and I'd be happy to modify this post. Otherwise, this list is accurate to the best of my knowledge, and I hope it comes in handy!
