Georyn: Georyn was still in the Healing Halls. His cut was healing more within his arm and it seemed he was getting more feeling as the days passed. He could move his arm more, that was certain but he wasn't so sure what was happening with his hand. He could feel all of his fingers, move them..but nothing with his thumb. He had tried for days it seemed before the healers told him to stop, that he was wearing himself out. He was a stubborn man, as stubborn as his father and it wasn't helping that he was like this. He wanted to leave this place for good now but he couldn't just yet. And what about Katerina? How had she been faring? He had still felt bad about her being captured, but he was sure she was safe now and that was all that mattered to him. She was safe and that was all that mattered. But something was pranging in his heart. What was it? He certainly cared for her but...he couldn't put his finger on it. His dirty blonde locks were getting messy and long again. He would have to get them cut again. He looked like he had shaved for once in a longwhile. He just stood in his room, sitting at the edge of his bed, waiting.
Katerina: ** Katerina herself had healed well with only a pale scar or two... nothing more. Though her guilt weighted on her about his having been injured at her account... she had been walking in the garden. She was trying to make sense of the feeling milling about within her where he was concerened. She cared for him that much she knew but when she looked into his eyes something deeep in her stirred and she knew not what it was. Having had enough of walking she returned to the healing hall and went to see him... she felt better when she was near him. SHe stopped at his door and knocked softly in case he was resting.**
Geoyrn: Georyn stopped when he heard the knocking at the door. He was awake, fully. Presuming it was one of the healers again. "Come in." His voice was soft, but he was sure it was going to be fine again. Probably someone to check on his bandages and change them again. However if it was Katerina at the door, it was going to be a pleasant surprise for him. He figured she would have been out by now of the infirmary and probably back to her daily routine. He would have hated it if she was sticking around here just for him.
Katerina:** Hearing his soft call to come in she opened the door slowly to see him standing and greeted him with a bright smile " Ahhh it is good to see you out of the bed for a change." she spoke softly as she walked toward him. His hair was a bit unruly and in need of a trim yet he was clean shaven...her heart fluttered and it made her pause in her stide. She had been released from the healers but tended to stick close to the hall to be near him, but would never tell him so for she knew him well enough to know he would not be thrilled to know it. She now stood beside him and playfully ran her hand through his hair " I like this look ." her voice soft and teasing.**
Georyn: Georyn couldn't understand why she was coming here, but his tempermeant immediately lit up when he saw it was Katerina. "Well they have been confining me to the bed." He stated simply as the door revealed her face. He certainly liked this, liked being around her for whatever reason. His mood seemed to be calmer. It seemed she was the only person that seemd to not judge him for what he had done. He smiled a little. "You should tell that to my mother. She does not like my hair like this." He replied with a slight chuckle before he looked at her. "What are you doing here? You shouldn't be staying by my side, or is it just my handsome lot that brings you back to me?" He was teasing, yes he was in a slight better mood.
Katerina:** His words made her chuckle softly " I would gladly tell your mother that I like it but she would probably turn me over her knee for it." she teased and laughed again knowing his mother would do no such thing. " I can trim it for you if you would like?" she looked into his eyes and smiled. When he smiled like that she felt warm all over, for to see him smile was a true gift he did not grant often and she treasured it." I came to see you. You are indeed handsome Georyn, as I am sure many a maid has told you so." she placed her hand on his arm. " It is that and more that draws me to you." she said with alot more honesty than eh would know. For what was it that drew her to him?? She had no name for it but it drew her like a moth to a flame and she decided she liked it.**
Georyn:Georyn didn't know really the affect he had on women. He had been told so by his mother and sister but he often ignored it. They were his mother and sister..why should he listen to them? He shrugged them off. Katerina was a friend as well..but she was not family (at least a part of his) so could he take her words for the truth? "You jest." He added before she had offered to trim his hair for him. "I would like that very much, if you do not mind." He added. He wasnt used to his hair being so long and it bothered him a little. "The only maids that find me attractive are those that hear my father's title and wish to be married to a noble." He added with a slight reproval of the truth indeed.
Katerina: ** Kat shook her head indisbelief at his words " You have known me long enough to know when I jest and when I do not... and right now I do not." she waved her hand towrd the chair by the fire " Sit in the chair and I will trim your hair and if I minded I would not have offered." Kat knew exactly what he was saying about titles, but they meant nothing to her. When and if she married it would be for love not monetary gain. " Then they were foolish for their ideas for monye cannot make you happy, or give you love." she said quietly as she walked ot the door and asked one of the healers for the items she would need to trim his hair. The woman smiled and went quickly to gather them and returned handing them to Kat." If ye need anythin' else jus' ask Lady Katerina." she said giving a quick curtsey and went back to her duties.**
Georyn:Georyn nodded before he got up from the bed, stretching a litle before he stopped, his arm hurting him again. He didnt know what else he was going to do once he had gotten out of the healing ward. "Well how do I not know you are not passing information secretly to my mother and sister?" He was jesting again, yes he was getting back to his normal self again now. It was getting easier around her, but he could not forget what he had done. Forget the man he had killed. "Thank you." He moved from where he was standing and sat in the chair, although he was wandering if he should trust her with a blade on his hair. "Do not cut all of it off...just a bit. I know it pleases you long." He added with a wink. He didn't know if and when he would marry either. "I suppose my family wishes me to marry soon...as my brother has yet to provide an heir of his own. There were rumors at court my father was going to name me as heir of Lorme." He added with a soft tone. He didn't wish the title, the land but it was apparent that Georyn had always been his father's favorite..was time changing?
Katerina: ** It made her feel better to see him up and about... she sent silent prayer to God in thanks. She feined shock when he mentioned about ehr telling secrets to his mother and sister " Sir I would never do such a thing." her tone light and laced with laughter. It was so easy to be near him and thier light hearted banter was proof he was once more becoming the Georyn she had remembered in England. She blushed at his teasing about his hair " Many a day I trimmed my Father's hair... I will take a bit off at a time you can tell me when to stop. If it were my choice I would leave it as it is." his wink and tone made her blush as she was prone to do with him at times." You are of a marrigable age and should do so at some point... whomever you choose will be a most fortunate Lady. You deserve to be the heir Georyn." she picked up the scissors and comb and began the task of trimming his hair.**
Georyn: "Alright." He replied with a smile and wondered what she was going to do with his hair. Should he trust her? Yes he should. She was his friend and he trusted no one else save for few. "Marriage is not something easily rushed into. I like you would marry for love..but people in our positions do not have that luxury." He added while the smile was gone from his face. He didn't know what else to say, but he was starting to jest again. "Unless you and I shall marry. It would solve all of our problems and keep those pesky men from you." He added with a chuckle. He stopped when his arm began to hurt again. It seemed to do that when he moved too much. "You know, I believe I will be scarred from this. The poison. I cannot feel my thumb." He added silently.
Katerina:** " Nay we do not have that luxury, but I will hold out for it if I can." her words were soft. She combed his hair and then began to trim it as she had said a bit at a time. His words of them marrying made her laugh yet deep inside something stirred "Aye we should marry and not only would it keep pesky men from me but gold digging woman from you." she teased back. She noticed him holding his arm. " I will be done in a minute with your hair and then I will get a healer to check your arm." she sighed " I am so sorry Georyn that you suffer so... tis my fault." she said placing the comb and sciscors on teh small table. If he looked close enough he would see it bothered her that he had been the one injured and not her. His words hit her and tore at her heart " If I could undo it all know that I would." she walked to the window and looked out.**
Georyn:Georyn could only console her by reaching out for her hand. "It is not your fault. A knight is supposed to defend those they love. Think naught of it." He added. Yes, he had been christened a knight but he did not feel it. The knight was not his calling but the quill was. Oh he loved to write, but he didn't know if he had the heart too. Once his hair had been trimmed he gave another laugh. "You shouldn't worry. We should wed, it would solve many of our problems." He added with another chuckle before his arm had grown sore again. "It is fine. I am just moving too much is all." He added with a reassurance to her but it probably doesn't help much. "You needn't worry. I am fine. Come now, I am the one that has been feeling just for all my actions and you are the one that is sad? Something is wrong with this picture, my lady." He added, he was jesting but he hoped it would make her feel better.
Katerina:** When he took her hand she turned to look at... there was blame in his eyes and for that she was grateful. His accent was thick and when he spoke she smiled at him " You are my knight in shinning armor Sir Georyn." she lifted his hand and kissed his knuckles softly." If we married Georyn it would solve many problems for us indeed." somehow the thought of marrying him did not scare her for she knew he cared for her and would let none harm or hurt her. Now if only he loved her?? That is what she wanted out of marriage love. " You should rest your arm ..." her words trailed off as he spoke of something being wrong " Aye there Georyn... I feel responsible for your injury. It pains me that you may be marked for all times for saving me... my life was not worth the cost to you." her voice but a whisper in the room.**
Georyn: Georyn could tell now she really did blame herself for his injuries. They were not her fault. "Listen to me, my lady." He added, a soft tone to his voice as hers had been. "My injuries were not caused by you. Do not blame yourself for what happened to me. If anything had happened to you I would never forgive myself if anything had happened to you and I could have prevented it." He added as he finally stood up to place a kiss on her forehead. "You are far worth more alive to me than you are dead. What about
your clan of people? Clan MacKinnon needs you Katerina. They only have you and I will do whatever it is in my power to protect you." He raised his one good arm around her to bring her into a hug that was feeble and makeshift. "You know it is hard for me to truly rest when you are here." He added with a wink. "Come shouldn't we take a walk instead? I fear your spirits need more lifting than my own."
Katerina:** She smiled as him knowing he spoke true " You place to much an honor on me Georyn... I am grateful you were there.... " when he pulled her in to his arm for a hug she felt his strength surround her and warm her to her soul. " A walk sounds delightful... and know that if you had not survived I would be alone in this world... you have a place in my heart... you always have." when he kissed her forehead she closed her eyes reveling in the feel of his lips on her skin. SHe knew not why only that she did and her heart hitched as she laid her head against his
chest.**
Georyn: "Think nothing of it, Katerina." He added as he kissed her forehead again and grasped her hand. "Come, let us take a walk. I could use the fresh air." He added with a smile before he moved to take them out of the room and outside. He didn't know anywhere else to go with her as of now seeing as he was still confined to the inside of the healing halls until he was fully healed. He only wish he could be outside sooner and be out of this place sooner. "Come my lady. I will protect you, always." He added with a soft smile that still played at his lips. Yes he was peaceful for once, in a long time.
Katerina: ** It had been along time since she had seen him the peaceful though confined. " There is a small garden just off the healing hall we can go to." she smiled up at him. " I thank you for those words Georyn for they mean more than you can ever know." she laced her fingers in his and led the way. It was so natural for her to be herself around him and not what she needed to be. That is what made them special to the other... they did not judge each other in anyway. She sighed ... when she married she hoped it would be to someone like him... who accepted her and did not try to change her. Allowing herself a moment to daydream she could see them ruling the Clan MacKinnon together.**
Katerina: ** Katerina herself had healed well with only a pale scar or two... nothing more.
