Moira = Settled quite comfortably on a couch in the library of the Lily she did sit. A book across her lap, and while reading by the light of a few candles was not easy, she managed it all the same. Moira was that much of a reader that as long as there was a will, she'd find a way to do something if she wanted it badly enough. Her chosen clothing of the day was more for comfort than luring any males. She actually decided that if she were going to keep to a contracted agreement, she was no going to bother with putting herself out to gain attentions of anyone else. It was like a week long vacation and unknown to her until today, she needed it. So she was dressed down in a long dress made of serviceable cotton, colored in a tan shade and her hair was all down, no fancy style to it tonight. Tonight she was all normal and she even began to wonder if that was why in the past she always managed to keep men away instead of gaining their attention. They must not much like her when she was plain or normal looking. But that was the male population for you and she dealt with it. Turning a page in the book she had found in the library last week, eventually she would get it finished and start a whole new one, but in no hurry either, she had to read slow for the content of the book and she was enjoying the story a good deal. [d]
Ren = Theodren would leave his horse in the very capable hands of a stable boy as he made his way out of the cold night air and into the warmth of The Gilded Lily. He had spend most of the day riding around the city of Turas Lan as to better familiar himself with it. The tall dark male quickly closed the door behind him and lifted those dark eyes to see who was about and what was going on. From the looks of things, it was a quite night for now and he spotted the pretty face he had come to know for the last two night. With a shrug of his broad shoulders, he moved further in and stood before her. His arms crossed, his gaze on her and her smirked before speaking up. "Lonely and bored when I'm not around?" He asked with a hint of a tease. -d-
Moira = She heard someone enter, not all that unusual, people came and went here until the early hours of the morning. Lifting her gaze that had been so concentrated on the book, it was nearly a relief on her poor eyes. The faint light of candles did make them strain a bit. She marked the page of her book and grinned up at him. "Why.. however did you know?" All the other girls of the house were up in their rooms, entertaining company, so she'd had the whole main to herself. She now stuck a piece of ribbon in the book to mark the page and closed it, setting it to the table next to her big cozy chair. "Did you learn of just where you are very well yet?" [d]
Ren = He'd continue to hold his position until she looked up and grinned with her reply. His eyes watching as she marked her book only to place a ribbon within the pages and closed it to set it aside. He smiled and unfold his arms. "Because I am all knowing." He replied with a low chuckle. At her question, he gave a slight shrug. "I've come to learn more about it as much as one can in a days time. It's as well as it can be expected. I'm sure everything will fall into place soon, it always does. " He glanced about and then looked back to her. "Seems like a quiet night. Do you always spend nights like these alone and in a book?" He asked as he moved to stand a little closer to her. -d-
Moira = "Sometimes I do, but it's been a while. Not very often a quiet night comes along where most of the girls are off doing other things." She stood up, even if he was close to her chair, she didn't mind and she needed to stand anyway. Sitting in the chair for some three hours was having areas of her body started to go numb on her. "Is it still very cold outside?" Hoping it wasn't but expecting it was. She did not like winter at all. It was such a depressing season, causing people to be trapped indoors more often that not. "And you know, since you are so all knowing, you should know if I sit here alone with a book or not." She teased him right back. [d]
Ren = He took a couple steps back giving her the room she needed to stand without feeling like her space was being invaded. With the question she asked, he glanced over his shoulder toward the door and window before looking back to answer her. "Yes, unfortunately it is. The cold doesn't bother me to much as long as I don't have to stay out in it to long. Like many others, I'd like to stay warm when possible." Theodren would smile at her teasing him for his all knowing comment. "Of course... and I did. I'm only making small talk." He replied, looking at her from the side. Of course it was a lie, but they seem to enjoy this little game of I tease you and you tease me back. "Well, what might the woman like to do then seeing as you are no longer alone nor are you reading your book?" -d-
Moira = "You really want me to go into detail of telling you what I do when I find myself alone with a man, in the middle of a cold and possibly snowy night?" She chuckled. Not that she wouldn't tell him, in detail at that, but if he didn't want to know then she would have to think of something that would count before she came to work at the courtesan house, which wasn't too long enough so she was certain she could think up something. "Of course, if I tell you then you have to return the favor. It's only fair." [d]
Ren = He was grinning with her reply and had to cross his arms over his chest again. "I wasn't thinking you would tell me. I was hoping you would show me." He seem to let the grin grow before he stepped forward, arms falling to his side and he leaned in to bend slightly and whisper in her ear. "After all.. I am here now." He said before lingering there and then straightening his stance. The look he caste her way was one that accompanied the deviant thoughts within his mind. "And as far as me telling you... I could do the same. Actions speak volumes where as words lack it." -d-
Moira = She didn't even make an attempt to hide the look that crossed her face at the whisper, a slow smile that made her stop thinking about returning to the book entirely, it would always be there another time. "Well then, I can show you, you can show me, I think it will be enjoyable both ways." She moved away from the chair and caught his hand into her own, back to those steps that lead up to the bedrooms, moving slowly to hers as last time. She didn't try to drag him along, just moving slowly enough to keep him aside her instead. There were nights when she wasn't in a massive rush to get to something and get it over with. [d]
Ren = Even if she had tried to hide it, Theodren would know. There were very few women that could hear the things he said that wouldn't have them reacting in such a way or close to it. "I am sure it will be, just as the other night had been." He replied as she moved to take his hand and led him up the stairs to a familiar room. He stayed at her side until they reached her room and once there, he held the door open for her until they were both in so he could close it. The large fur over coat and then the cloak were both removed. Again, tossing them to the side over a near by chair. Theodren then looked to her, waiting to see if she said or did something before perhaps he would. -d-
Moira = As he got the door, she moved further into the room, dwelling in the doorway wouldn't prove to be very useful. Turning she watched a moment as he discarded his cloak and such and she grinned again, something about this one had her either grinning or smiling more than she normally did, that was odd. "First thing I would do would be to ask anyone who comes into my room to get comfortable, I think you've been through that drill but the offer stands all the same." The dress she wore was covered in tiny buttons, they were places in the front and not at the back as usual, this was far from the sort of dress that caused her a need of assistance to either put it on or remove it. She moved her hands to the low collar, never could she wear a dress where the collar buttoned almost at her chin, even the thought of that kind of gown would gag her. This dress had a square neckline and she worked open a few of the buttons while observing him at the same time. [d]
Ren = He stood in silence while watching her while waiting and he would soon have his answer. She began to remind him of her first rule and he nodded with a smirk. "Ah, yes.. get comfortable. I think I can handle that." He said as he moved over to the bed and sat on the edge of it. He'd make busy with the task of removing his boots. Next were his weapons. His sword and his dagger, the sword was placed between a small section of the bed and a table. The dagger, well, on that very table. The rest of his weapons he had left elsewhere for safe keeping for a time. Theodren then slid back some, his dark eyes returning to her figure and a brow arched in anticipation while her hands began to work over the buttons. -d-
Moira = Moira didn't like people being or seeming uncomfortable around her. A lack of comfort never led to an enjoyable outcome. She moved her deft fingers over the little buttons rather quickly, a task she was familiar with.. undressing. Which could come of actual dressing and undressing every morning, or additional time in between. Either or. She chuckled as he had more weapons to lay out, or hide away than she knew one person could use at a time. "Do you use all of those or just have them all for just in case purposes?" She didn't, wouldn't know, she was far from a person who had ever used a weapon unless fire counted. She did have one count of an arson murder on her but the only person who knew of that was Shaden and even the Mistress of the house had not yet heard the whole story. Finally getting enough buttoned opened that she had been able to slide the dress off easily and throw it across the other empty chair in the room, leaving her in the chemise she wore underneath which resembled and worked as a long, sleeveless nightgown. [d]
Ren = Oh, there was no problem with Theodren making himself comfortable here and now. Moira didn't seem the uptight type and well, that made things all the more easier on him. As she asked of his weapons, his eyes left her hands to look to her own. He might be a man but he wasn't stupid. "Both... I use some on a daily basis, others I have are just in case." He said as he flashed her a grin. "But, if they bother you.. I can put them away elsewhere. Out of sight, out of mind..I wouldn't want you to be.. distracted." He added with a smirk. Though he was half serious. If they bothered her, he'd move them somewhere else like under his fur and cloak. His eyes drifted back down to watch the rest of the buttons be worked open. She stepped out of the dress and revealed a nicely covered frame with a pleasant little sleeveless chemise. His head tilted before he slid back further to lay on his side and continued to face her. -d-
Moira = "I don't need you to put them away, though left out I may be tempted to use them too, so for yourself you may want to put them away." She chuckled. Moira had a side to her that some may call masochistic, others may call her a freak, and some even would likely have referred to her as a sicko, the words she might be called depended on the person. She was far from sick as other people called her way of thinking, she just liked excitement now and then but some many other people feared change so much normally she never made mention of it, most men liked women nice and quite, simple and easy to please. She unbuttoned the chemise right down to her waist and that was where the buttons stopped. Pausing in all actions now too. "Your turn, at least partially." She smiled, and unsaid as it was, she was giving him an out too, what she just said could be taken in a bad way so had he a want to leave now, she would let him. But all she could do now was wait and see. [d]
Ren = With her stating she might have use for them and she wasn't bothered by them, that had him grinning from ear to ear. "Is that so? Hm.. could be fun." He said as his brows arched and his lips twisted downward showing just how interesting that sounded. He continued however to let his eyes enjoy the sight before him and as she undid the first few buttons of the chemise, she told him it was his turn. He chuckled and sat up with a nod. Large hands let calloused fingers work open his own buttons and straps. First he removed the soft fur like vest, then his tunic underneath it. All were thrown in the direction of the chair where his other clothes lay. Theodren was now in nothing but his breeches. He stood and turned to pull down the covers, though not entirely sure if the bed was her destination or if she had something else in mind. In any case, the bed was ready for now or later. In the dim lit room, as he twisted and turned, his copper skin seem to magnify the glow of the light that shined on it. Long dark hair trailed over and down his shoulders and back. He turned then to her and waited. A hand open, palm up and motioning to the bed in question. -d-
Moira = That was all she had been waiting for in truth. She got to watch him this time, her gaze taking in every part of him she could see. Odd, she never once looked on a man who she thought she could eat alive, in that less literal of ways of course. When he drew back the bed coverings she moved toward it, her room actually holding a slight chill to it as the fire in the fireplace needed work to get it going again but she could think of other places to have a fire burning. Lifting the hem of the chemise she moved herself into the bed, between the sheets and still she just gazed at him a moment longer. "You look so familiar in a strange way, it was the dim candle light that brought it to her attention, she had seen the features before. But she didn't press the topic, she could later, right now she pulled the covers up to keep some of the warmth in the bed with her until her own body temperature warmed it up more, knowing well enough eventually she's be complaining about how hot it was in the room instead of how cold it was right now. [d]
Ren = Theodren watched as she moved toward him and the bed. She hiked up the hem of her chemise and crawled on to the bed. Once she was under the sheets, she mentioned he looked familiar. His brow furrowed and he shook his head. "I can't imagine why. This is the first time I've been to this city." He then moved himself onto the bed and under the covers as well. Again, laying on his side while facing her. He propped up on his elbow, yet his hands were able to come and clasp to each other still. He let his eyes drift from her own hues down the curves of her body and back up. Even after having been with her the night before, he was still taking to memory things about her. "What's a pretty face like you doing in a ...profession like this?" It was bit of a personal question, but one he had come to wonder about. If she didn't wish to share with him the details, he understood and wouldn't press it. Everyone had their secrets and the reasons behind them. -d-
Moira = Moira nodded when he said it was the first time he had been in this city, though the nagging feeling she had seen.. not him... but something like him before was still in the back of her mind until she chased it away. While he laid back and got cozy, which she of course liked, she dropped to her back but did turn on her side to, keeping him in her line of vision. The question was one no one cared to ask her before but she had no qualms about giving the answer. She felt she could talk to him. "When I ran away from my home in England and ended up here I had no money, no clothing aside from the ones I wore, no place to live, nothing. I did work at the Briar Rose for a time but I didn't like it much, it was always so dead when I was there so I spoke to Shaden and ended up here." She slowed herself down, drawing in a breath. "Here there is a roof over my head, food, I am clothed, and I made a good friend of one of the other girls. And I am not held to stay here, I can leave at anytime but Shaden even has girls working under a breakable contract and if we remain five years, part of our earnings make a dowry should we ever want to marry one day as well." She did not see marriage in her future though, but it was still a nice thing for Shaden to do for them. [d]
Ren = Theodren watched as she too took her turn to get comfortable, laying on her side and facing him as he had her. He nodded occasionally as she spoke. His eyes never leaving hers until she was finished. "Well, I suppose we all do what we need to in order to survive. Some of us have known it all our lives, others.. well, they are thrown out to do it for the first time and many do not make it. Those that do, those are the ones that make something of themselves." He paused a moment to look back to her. "And I'd say you've done good for yourself. That's something to be admired. Especially for a woman." The large Greek male laid silent for another moment before he added. "Its nice of your Mistress to think ahead on those things. Something else to work for... another goal in life. And I have to say this is by far the best place I've been when it comes to women like yourself in this profession." -d-
Moira = She nodded in silent agreement with him. He had made her think now why she did this. But she felt she was using the business and it was using her. "I have hope that I don't last five years at this however. One day I would like to do more with my life than turn into one of those women known only as a woman of this house. Be known for something more. It'd be nice. Though my man catching skills by then will be non existent." She hated the idea of having to capture a man just for the sake of survival, but unless in a place such as this, women didn't have all that many right. "I'd even like to marry someone I actually love and have children someday, but everyone has their dreams." She flushed, she was rambling and she saw it, but only after she had done it first. [d]
Ren = "I'm sure you'll find yourself in a very different place of your life in five years. I think for the better." He chuckled at her comment about the lack of skils to catching men by that time. "I really don't think you'll have to worry over something like that by then. I mean.. if you're as good as you are now, you should be better at it if anything. In case you haven't noticed... you did catch the eye of at least one man I know. Well.. two..." He teased. One being himself, two being the young blonde male from the other night known as Galen. "And at this rate... I'm sure there will be more. Unless of course I decide to keep you for myself." He said with a smirk. "I'm sure you'll get everything you want in time. Just remember, you have to work for it... nothing is handed out by people for free without wanting something in return. And the Gods don't favor us unless we're willing to sacrifice something for it. Even then, you're only favored for a short time." These were things he knew all to well. His whole life like that of many other people, had been a story of wants and sacrifices. Right now, he'd give just about anything to have his father, mother and sister back. But... such was life. -d-
Moira = She chuckled, a lift of her bare shoulders in a shrug. "I think most men like the convienece of this situation. No strings, no worries, no concerns. They pay for what they want, they get it, they're allowed and able to move on without once having to look back. But as you say, who knows what will happen, be it a day, week, month, year or a decade. Though I certainly hope it doesn't take decades. I'll be very old and ugly, if not dead after that long of a length of time." It was odd really, she could lay here and talk to him about any and everything, along with switching from a talking mood to a far more serious one. A nod of agreement with him again. "I've sacrificed already, handed over my virginity to this job, it the gods don't see that as a sacrifice, I'm not sure what is." And while he wanted his family back, she would only want to see her mother again, her dead father was of no concern and still messengers were seeking out her mother. "My father did try to marry me off before. Have you ever come close to marriage?" She would admit, she was curious about him now, but if he didn't wish to tell she would not pry into his business either, she'd give him that same respect. [d]
Ren = The man nodded as she began to give her own thoughts and opinions on the subject. He did chuckle along with her, thinking she was quite different than most women in this profession. She seemed more open, more willing to laugh at things than to hold grudges. The women he had known before were to uptight, scared out of their mind, or well.. not exactly best of the best. The latter which he of course steered clear from. He could feel she seemed at ease when around him which was again unusual. Most women when they saw him, ran, stared, or flat out screamed. He knew he was different looking but was he really that hideous to look at? No matter, he shrugged it all off as if it were nothing, because in the end it was just that. Nothing. He listed as she spoke about sacrifices and her father. When she asked if he had ever come close to marriage, he gazed down and nodded before looking back. "Once.. a long time ago. But it never came to be. Both she and her son were killed while I was away." -d-
Moira = "Oh, I am sorry to hear that. Was it very long ago?" A curiosity of hers if the wound was still fresh, or perhaps it didn't bother him at all. Pushing herself up to sit and lean her back against the wall, her bed didn't have a headboard, just the four posts at either end of it instead. She looked at him, trying to figure him out then shaking her head, this wasn't the time to become all in depth on figuring people out, she could do that later. Leaning over some she laid right down across his chest, back to grinning up at him again. "I think I may be the one to keep you, you are by far better to lay down on than any pillow I have ever had." So easily she slid back into a light teasing mode, though it was better than being someone who would only sit and be depressing. [d]
Ren = "It's been some years ago, yes." Sometimes it didn't bother Theodren to talk about the loss of the woman that would have been his wife and the son he would have loved to call his own. However, tonight was a different night. Perhaps it had been because this was a new city and he tended to keep the more private things to himself longer until he felt it okay to share. Eyes watched as she sat up and leaned back against the wall. As she looked to him trying to figure him out, his eyes narrowed and slowly he grinned. He knew exactly what she must be thinking, he had seen those looks many times. Just as he was turning to lay on his back, she moved again and this time found her choice of position what he thought a good one. "Oh? He asked as his hands came to hold her at her waist. Moira would find herself being wedged between both his legs now as one came to bend slightly. "Is that all I'm good for? A pillow?" His brows arching curiously and awaiting her reply. -d-
Moira = "Well, a pillow among other things, but they all happen to have taken place in my bed so far." She smiled sweetly at him. "Though I have far from minded. And in my bed, a good pillow is important." The smile turned into a little laugh coming from a combination of amusement of his mock offense of being a pillow and the shift of her position before a serious expression crossed her face again, lower her tone to one barely above a whisper. "Honestly, I think you could be a good many more things than just a pillow." It was a truth, and she meant it beyond all things sexual, they could be included but in her imagination they covered much, much more. Sliding her hands up his sides, moving a bit to gain comfort for the new found positioning. [d]
Ren = Theodren had to laugh whole heartedly. He hadn't meant to, but she caught him off guard and the comments she made were quite amusing. Not to mention the looks that accompanied those comments which just made it all to hard to not laugh. However, when her expression changed to a much more serious one, one hand remained on her waist while the other along with his arm came to be tucked under his head. The whisper she gave had him holding her gaze within his own. At first, yes, he thought along the lines on the more sexual content of how it sounded, but then seeing how her eyes stared at him, he knew she meant in other ways to. As she slid her hand up his sides, he had closed his eyes. The feel of her hands on him like that was quickly changing the mood again. He opened his eyes again and looked to her with all seriousness. One arm wrapped about the waist he had just been holding while he braced their combined weight with the other once it was removed from behind his head. He turned them so that she was now the one on her back. He stared down at her and slowly lowered his head so lips could caress the skin down along her neck. -d-
Moira = Of course, the things she thought were just that, only thoughts, she had no proof they were truth but maybe one day she would see, even if from afar. She would have helped him with the changing of both their positions but it didn't at all seem like he needed it. She did take that moment though to slink her arms up around his neck, a better way to hold on when he moved. That very instant she felt his lips on her neck her eyes fell shut and she arched her head back, which in turn exposed her neck completely all the way down to where the chemise was still managing to hang on to her by her forearms. [d]
Ren = Help? Well, she might could have had she been quick enough. And as she figured, he didn't need it as he was capable of supporting not only his own weight but hers to. He could feel her arms about his neck and felt the press of their bodies more. Theodren began to let his lips run their course over soft skin in intervenes while hands released her long enough to help her out of the chemise and himself out of his breeches. All were tossed carelessly to the floor. The board to their little ploy was set, the pieces were in place and now the game began. -d-
Moira = Amazing it was how when people became intent on on thing actions happened faster than one often could blink. The feeling of the loss of the chemise had her releasing her arms from about his neck to allow its complete removal and she couldn't help another of those little grins when she felt the breeches leaving his body. Replacing her hands up to his shoulders, running her legs up the length of his thighs, moving her head so that she could press her lips to that area between his shoulder and collarbone. A slight feeling that after this contract of time was up she would find herself in severe trouble, but she would cross with that bridge when she came to it. She would not dwell in thoughts of the future but keep her mind on the here and now. [d]
Ren = Theodren would leave his horse in the very capable hands of a stable boy as he made his way out of the cold night air and into the warmth of The Gilded Lily. He had spend most of the day riding around the city of Turas Lan as to better familiar himself with it.
