Random Redwall Woman: A fit of giggles sounded down the halls as two women sat outside the room Ealora and Maahes normally share. "If they are asleep we should get her dress it's right there on the chair..I'd love to have that. Random Redwall Woman 2: "Oh yes, me too.." Their oices carried down the hall, "but we were not paid to take the dress, but to get the wife. So come one." Taking the other woman's hand she slipped down the hall towards the dance. "Evening, Lady Aziem. Have you lost something?" She smiled behind painted nails with the fake gasp. Jack: -=A low grumble rumbled through the hallway, reverberating through the walls like thunder peeling off its fickle creator.=- Off with ye, whores. 'Tis nae the night tae be in me way. -=From the far end, hob-nailed boots thumped down the hallway in an ominously precise staccato.=- Ealora:The room had been unmentionably hot with all the bodies mingling around and all the harsh words floating on the winds when they thought she was not within earshot. Not to mention she was unimaginably tired. A small gasp left her lips at the sudden appearance of both the two girls and Jack. Lord but she was to tired to even realize where they had come from. A glare was sent in Jack's direction. "This is the home of my husband...this is my home. Do not think for one second you can command in our home." Celadon eyes slid from him to the girls and she heaved a sigh as she gave a nod, to tired to wonder where they had come from and why they were smiling. "I've lost my husband and my sister ladies.. have you seen them?" Random Redwall Woman:"Mmmmm toymaker, do keep going." The woman danced around him with a blank look inside her eyes, but a tongue going over her lips. "Mmm, little Hell Cat just follow the trail and see for yourself." A jiggle of the boobs in Jack's direction before slipping down the halls. Random Redwall Woman 2:"Yeah, unless you don't like unhappily ever after. I'd stay here, and just keep on pretending ye' can tame a Beast. Hold him..down you know?" Down the hall they skipped. Jack: -=No reaction was given to the scathing parting. The voice continued unfettered.=- Rouse yerself, Ealora. Yer house has been infested. Ye know that I will break every courtesy tae ensure yer safety, and so I shall. Shaden and Maahes are in trouble. Taken in by a plot I donnae fully understand yet. However, I fear that they are but bait tae lure ye out. Ealora: She could only toss a look in his direction. Had she said she was tired? That she didn't want to play games or answer riddles or at least it seemed that way to her. What the hell was he talking about? She waved a hand in his direction, body half turned to watch the girls skipping away. Skipping? Really? A slender brow rose in curiosity. Follow the trail? Casting a look at Jack one more time, she scuffed. This was stupid..she trusted her husband. It was the heat of the bonfires, the party, the one sip of wine, the dancing. Shifting the one sleeve of her dress, she moved down the hall. Trap or not, the curious hellcat panther she was could not stop herself. Pretend she could tame a beast? Her heart began to drum in her ears, an unease feeling had settled over the hall, or was it just her? A hand went to the latch of the door of their bedroom, she just needed to change so they could go look for Maahes and Shaden. The latch was turned..they were probably passed out drunk someone in the grounds...the door was pushed open. Perry: At the docks they waited, the ship slowly being unchained from the holds. Darn it they had taken the sails! Fudge. "Go get the sails boy, they are in the chests there." Why didn't this crew already have this done.
Maahes: In his sleep Ealora knew he talked, Arabic English Moans whatever, but when his lips parted to speak he only nuzzled further into her neck. The rough of his beard leaving marks where it would go, "Habibi." He closed his hand back over the smooth slightly puffed holding of the child. "Baby." Just like from the night before when he was teaching his wife Arabic. He had made it a habit to repeat the English. Was he doing the same to Shaden? Jack: -=Another grumble escaped him in response to Ealora's scoff. As she traveled down the hallway, the brawny frame made no attempt to mask keeping an eye over each shoulder.=- Ealora, I suggest ye sober quickly. Danger be very close. It be clear tae me now that... -=the voice trailed off as the door opened.=- Shaden: As Maahes mumered and nuzzled Shaden responded with a tender moan.. hands shifting over his shoulders as one knee drew up over his hip.. she snuggled into him.. and released once more her grip on the hazy consciousness and slipped into oblivious darkness..soft even breaths against his neck.. where her lips lay... against his flesh. Ealora: Her head turned as the door opened to regard Jack. "I'm not drunk..just tired.. Danger is always around every corn.." She heard Maahes moaning in his sleep. He often talked in his sleep but last night had done so more out of still trying to teach her his launguage as he drifted off. Celadon eyes moved from Jack to the room just as Shaden moaned as well. The sight that greeted her was not tenderly taken in. She was dreaming..she had to be dreaming. The two bodies intertwined in what appeared to be naked bliss. Her stomach tightened and rolled. She was going to be sick. The feeling was much stronger then before after having taken a sip of wine. As hard as she tried to swallow it down, it would not go away. Lips parted, her breath as ragged as her disbelief. Before she was even aware she was doing it, she had pinched her own arm. Pain shot through the skin where she had pinched. She was not dreaming. Her breathing increased, ragged, soft like a whisper. Her lower lip trembled even as her stomach continued to roll and turn amidst a new pain....or torture...pure torture as if her heart and her soul were both being ripped into tiny unrecognizable pieces at the same time. Within the doorway where she stood a table was nearby upon which a beautifully painted vase rested as decoration. She reached for it and heaved it into the room, the glass shattering the silence now still within the room as she let out a cry of anguish. Jack: -=Several moments passed before a calloused hand clasped Ealora's shoulder. The hearty voice came quickly but unhurried as if he were trying to calm a horse.=- Easy, Ealora. Take a breath, this nae be what it looks like. Look at their faces. That's the sort of flush brought on by illness, nae love. Ye didnae even wake them. They've been drugged, Ealora. They're out cold.-=The opposite hand produced a cider cup and held it out for her to see.=- Methinks this shall bear out the truth. Let me study it. Take a breath, take a seat, please Ealora. Maahes: "Mmmm," The heated skin under her breath caused his arm to curl around her. "Enti zawjati el.... azeeza.." The same words from the night. His hand came to touch her chest, "anta habeebi.." Then the tips of his fingers ran the length of her front, down to where the baby was, "anta habibi. Baby.." Another pat to her stomach as his eyes started to slightly open as if to check and make sure she was paying attention, "Sweetheart." He touched her breastbone once more "Anta Habeebi" My sweetheart, my darling something along those lines. Then again to her belly, "Anta habibi." My baby. Dark eyes squinted having just been fit for spectacles the day before. Was that Ealora? Shaden: As he caressed and murmured to her in a language her brain did not understand but her heart did.. she purred and shifted beneath him.. lost in drugged dreams she lifted her lips and pressed kisses against his cheek nuzzling into his neck.. soft sweet words in french and Italian that were as lost to him as his were to her clouded mind.. "mi amore..." soft sweet kisses meant for someone else.. surely not the beast who held her so tenderly.. and yet she responded with a haunting familiarity.. training.. or intimacy.. one had to wonder. Ealora: For a moment her mind was ready to snap in two, for a second she was willing to believe Jack as he tried to sooth her and then Arabic words were moaned once more and she couldn't tear her eyes away from the two. The loving touches, the words. Her body was shaking, her mind a frazzled mess...the rumors..his anger at thinking she didn't trust him...the rumors..them in bed...he was naked...she was moaning...he was touching her belly...she was cooing at him...he just said my baby...she was kissing his neck. A single tear fell from her eye and brushed at her cheek before seeming to disappear all together, whether into her clothing or onto the floor. There was no way of telling. Celadon eyes were ablaze with fire, rage and pain..unimaginable.."You stupid prick...have you not heard the rumors going around...and now..oh god..."Her heart squeezed painfully in her chest making the rolling in her stomach all the worse. Grasping his arm at her shoulder, she threw it off as she stumbled back against the doorframe, the table wobbled and fell over. The walls were closing in on her, they were intent on sucking the life out of her. She sucked in a breath, she was indeed going to be sick but she could not...would not. She fled, down the hall, knocking Jack out of the way if she had to. The images followed her, replaying in her mind like a nightmare unwilling to let go. Out into the autumn air lingering only long enough in the courtyard to indeed let loose what was within her stomach onto the ground. The silence rang out until finally in the small distance between the house and barn, the barn door smacked hard. A horse cried seemingly in protest before the bearing of hooves would taunt the air fading away from Red Wall.

Maahes: With the guests gone, the early morning light filtered over the hills and the sun gave it's rise like a slow agonizing dance. The promise was of beauty, with reds and gold outstretching long shadows across the frost covered lands of Bant Chan Ser, and nestled deep in the heart of the valley The Red Wall. In through the windows tinted by the rich fabrics of an African nation it sent an ominous feel of another world. Tribal masks from around the world caught the filtering rays and appeared to have eyes judgmental and alive. The bed was massive, the mattress stuffed full of down, and 20 pillows surrounded the pair in rich deep earth tones. Everything was theme in dark burnt red and sienna save for the rush of the ocean as the sun lit the back of The Shadow Storm a stained glass work of art from the Lady Eirian's hands. Maahes always slept on his stomach a pillow curled under his neck and captured by his biceps, and Ealora was most likely held captive by his other arm. She often curled into his side, as his face would be buried against the top of her head. So here..Shaden would be. Captive of a Beast, surrounded in tribal decor with the scent of sandalwood filtering in and around his body as it was used to scent his flesh and thick dreads--a symbol of power. Breath passed in heavy marks as one too many hits to the face had scared a nose and blocked passage of air. Outside the air was freezing, but a lifetime under an unforgiving sun had heated the blood of the animal for far too long to ever let him feel the cold. His skin was alive with the fires of his heritage, and heated what space was between he and the courtesan Shaden: The night had been spaces of drugged illusion and tortured sleep.. the concoction they were given making hallucinations.. dance like marionettes in her mind.. she raced about trying to cip the strings with golden scissors, trying to free herself of the web the strings became entangling her deep in darkness.. the painted marionette faces garish and glaring.. laughing mocking her the more she struggled... The Bruce.. screaming and spitting in her face.. WHORE Perrigrin.. YOU have to help us Maahess... You will burn in Hell... Ealora... Are you hiding Secrets... Jean Claude... A rose by any other name.... Jack.... IS it MINE.... it was a whirling dervish of accusations threats...wolves snapped and gnawed at her as she ran thru dense woods.. screaming for help and Nic suddenly appeared.. only to be torn apart... it was all her fault.. everything... then there was a baby crying... where was the baby... she fell to her hands and knees searching the snow covered grown.. that turned to blood beneath her palms.... and he was over her The Bruce... holding the baby... " I take what's mine Shaden... " she sat upright in the bed screamin " nooooooo give me my baby ".... her hands fighting and slapping at those arms that caged her... strange quarters.. mask glaring at her as if judging her every action.. Whore.. Murderer.. tramp... trash... Maahes: In every storm there was but one thing that could break the violent rage of the sea..the darkening sky that could not release the sun or the way out of the waters that pulled you in. One thing to return the normal and comfort that in reality these were but your dreams and nothing more. "Shaden.." There was question in his voice, a raspy tone that left him in quiet rumble from his chest. The cold air was a rush against his skin, and Maahes would push from his position in the bed to face her. Who had her baby? Sitting up his swollen face from the illness seemed just as one of those masks, but there was not a single judgment written across it. A warm palm came to touch lightly the small of her back as he saw in her Ealora. He knew she would fight him, and this was not a moment of battle. The battle was lost and she fell victim to her own nightmares this was how he would pull her from this nightmare. "Whose got your baby?" I'll kill them.
Shaden: 'Maaheess ?" she shifted away from him, the room coming into focus.. the blankets pulled up suddenly to cover her nudity.. the look on her face both confusion and shame.. as she took in the rumpled covers.. the bed.. the man ... soul shattered.... " What did we.. do ?" the words were barely a whisper.... as tears shimmered in her eyes.... " ohh gods... oh gods " panic was written all over her face... as she serched to room for some signs this was still a dream... then her eyes lighted on the broken vase... and she seemed to pale even more... " ohhh gods " this was not a time for elegant words.... "Ohhhh gods no " Maahes:"I don't have your baby." He spoke with a bit of shock in his voice, why was she getting so defensive with him. This was normal right? She was naked, Ealora slept naked, he slept naked..His face fell to the opposite side of his bed where his wife would be sleeping. Yeap...nope. Broken glass..he could hear Ealora's scream in the back of his mind, and quickly the night fell back into his memory. "Ealora..where is she?" Raising from the bed he cared not that she was given full view, but quickly wrapped his robe around his hips. He would start out the door, but still in the frame Shaden's words rushing back to him. "What do you mean what did we do?" Quiet and reserved his entire frame locked up as he turned to face her putting the puzzle together himself. Maahes just needed to hear it from her. Shaden:She was in utter disbelif " how could we..?" her eyes were locked on the vase... " she must have saw us... in bed .... oh gods Maahes... did we... no no.. we would never" being a courtesan she was well aware of he remments of sexual activity and the proof it left behind.. beneath the covers.. her fingers delved then flipped back the sheets.. to look for any stains of proof... there was no smell of feel of sex between her legs.. and no stains on the sheets... " She.. thinks we... were together... " her face looked up at him with complete misery " how did we end up here?" Maahes:His entire frame stiffened against the door, the open halls beckoning for him to travel to chase after his wife..to find her. Yet, there was something in her voice that kept him still. "I would never lay with you.." His voice grumbled from deep inside his chest, and he turned to move towards the bed. In all his might and glory Maahes could scare his own shadow, but here he was bare. Naked from the hip up, the exotic undertones present he seemed more a man then ever. He could not remember anything save for a few flashes and a single word. So when the bed was closed in on he hovered over her form. "Lay down." A demand but still dangling between begging and command. Shaden: The covers were clutched to her tightly as if he were and advancing threat.. her mouth opened to argue.. as he hovered over her... then closed... as he pressed the point and she lay down, shivering lightly , then whispering " We have to find her... explain... she will hate us... " tears ran from the corners of her eyes... as she tried to control the panic that was rising inside her chest, her heart seemed about to explode, pulse beating rapidly, not in fear of him.. nor lust for him.. but fear that her sister was out there alone broken hearted thinking she had been betrayed by the two people in the world who loved her most.. Maahes:"Whose the father?" Yeah he was really asking her this right now. The covers were pulled up around her and tucked in on both sides as he made her a cocoon. "Ealora will know..she will know better. We trust." Right? They just went through this. "I do not remember anything..but I will take full blame. I will not see her hurt. Or this baby. Or you." He shook his head at the thought, Ealora couldn't be too far right? Against the bed his legs brushed as he moved the pillows around her. It would not matter to him who the father was save for he knew of the Bruce and knew that he would come after them. He had watched Shaden suffer this alone for far too long, and though Nic had been there Nic's position in the courts was nothing..she would need an entire army. He was so strong on the out, but falling apart on the inside. His heart told him so many things that he just knew were true. Outside stoic strong..inside a complete mess. Shaden: Glacial green hues lifted to him as he tucked her in an asked the question " I don't remember anything either.. just leaving the dancing cause I felt sick... then nothing... then waking up here...with you " one hand slipped from beneath the covers to wipe childishly at the tears... sniffling.. as the question of the child's parentage was put to her.. she eased up into a sitting position still bundled into the covers.. " I don't know.. it could be Jacks..or the Kings... those are the only two possibilities " would he believe her... Jack hadn't.. he had questioned her as if she were a street whore... " It' matters not.. though... it's my child... I will love it.. and raise it myself "her chin tilted upward.. definatly... it was obviouse things had not gone well with Jack.. his absences.. were enough proof of that.. had he never uttered an angry word toward her... glacial green eyes almost challenged him to scorn her too.. for she knew both Jack and Maahes to be like brothers... and expected nothing less... Maahes:For a good moment he was completely silent, weighing his thoughts with his actions. Shaden was Ealora's sister, and in most Arab cultures she would be just as much his wife as his bride. Though it stood more for his own family then that of the one he marries, he considered Shaden just as much his blood as he did any other. The hand that went to her face to clean her tears was taken; gently and squeezed. "Not on your own, Shaden." Maahes would then try and press her back into the covers. Yes. Sit. Stay. Sleep. Like a good girl. Seeing that she was settled his hand came to touch the underside of his breast bone feeling his heart rush with a pain. His breath caught against his chest and he took a step back with a small little stumble as it broke. "I've got to find..my wife." Like the soldier he was he pressed through the pain and turned for the door. Agatha:Not far behind him would the aged keeper of the house trail in with a tray of breakfast and place it by the table. "You switched rooms on me." She said with a smile. There was enough food on that tray to feed an army, and yes it was all for Shaden. Shaden:"Maahes Find her... " she didn't think it a good idea for them to find Ealora together... that would condemn them even more in her eyes before the truth could be given... the look on Maahes face was enough to break her heart ll over " Maahes... there is more..... Perrigrin was here last night... he wanted me to... distract you... while he and his men got away... he wanted me to drug you but I poured it out.. I would never... betray you that way " confession time.. but what would punishment bring. Maahes:The name filtered down the hall, and his hand only held his chest tighter. The realization set in, and found him brushing the flat surface of the walls as he felt his knees give out. A mix of the drug, and the heartache had his breath rushing in and out. Yet still he forced himself to stand. Panic sat in, and he trembled. Then he would search the docks first..

Maahes: The end of November, harvest long forgotten, and a snow flurry filtered through the night. The ground was not cold enough for it to build, but still it fell. The bitter chill was enough to keep the fires roaring and for many to remain indoors. The first official week of the winter months, and the dark of night held no promise of anything else. No one had seen Maahes since the night of the festival, but a strange presence lingered around the Ghostly ship of the Shadow Storm. Gossip of Ealora's departure with the Pirate lover had the streets talking, but still no one knew of the affair Lord General had with her beloved Sister. However, those that were there the night of the festival could easily put the puzzle together, but still no word if Maahes was even still alive. It would not be until the darkened hour of night would the animal creep down the streets and stand before the door of the Lily. Unable to go home, her memory still too fresh Maahes sent word to Pembroke, the man had seen the island right? That was where the pirate's home was..right? It was worth a shot..A knock on the door his nerves climbed to new heights..would Shaden be angry with him? Quickly he though of running, but only turned towards the street to have his back fall against the doorframe and head turn to the heavens. Give me strength. He prayed to God for the help to make it through this, but already he felt himself falling apart at the seems. Still only in the robe he felt nothing of the cold, the slippers upon his feet torn with open places where he had walked for two days now--searching. Please be home, Shaden. He should be furious with her, for helping the pirate but he wasn't..not yet at least. Gerda: Gerda would answer the door a look of relief on her wizened face " Oh praise be.. the mistress has been out of her mind with worry come in come in.. bring your wife " she assumed his appearance was because he had found his wife, her Mistress's sister.. the mistress had been frantic after hearing from sources that Ealora had left Skye with Perrigrin.. and had sent out all sorts of shady types to gather information.. since her return.. The housekeeper looked at his half naked appearance.. " you must be half freezing come in.. come in by the fire.. " and then her face fell when she saw he was alone.. " You haven't found her yet ?" it was more statement than anything.. taking him in hand she ushered him toward the roaring fire... " sit.. I'll bring you something to warm your bones and get the Mistress.. she's upstairs with the healer " she practically ordered him to sit before the flames.. as she sent a maid up to fetch Shaden and herself disappeared into the kitchen.. hot milk and soup were what that man needed.. he looked like death warmed over. Pembroke:Pembroke was surprised to get a Missive from teh General.. and to meet at a whore house.. what kind of business would that entail he wondered.. at the appointed hour headed to the appointed time he would arrive.. Booted feet crunching newly fallen snow as he made way up the steps to the entrance of the Lily.. of course he was not unarmed.. after their last meeting he fully expected some kind of reprisal.. but the note while cryptic had said Ealoras Life was in the balance.. for no other reason than that.. he had left the shelter of the Blue Castle and Maurburys retinue.. and made way in the dead of night to meet the General.. one of the Aberdeen's most feiece supporters.. for him it could be looked upon as treason to England... quite a risk.. Avery:Within the room of the guardian of the Lily, The healer Avery Thorn was attending the man lying upon the bed, leaning over to press against a knot upon his head. The man let out a growl and she pulled back with a sigh. "I'm sorry, it is going to hurt, just sit still." She leaned over again, pushing back the strands of hair to look at the knot. "Keep cold compresses on it..I'll leave a tea that will help with the headaches.." As the maid opened the door, excusing the intrusion to announce the General was downstairs, Avery turned and offered a kind smile at Shaden. "I will only be a few more moments..you may attend your business my lady.." Only after Shaden had retreated did she turn her attention back to the man upon the bed. Putting a hand to his chin,s he tilted his head up, his silvery blue eyes masked the slight cloudiness within the dot of black. Easy to miss if you were not looking for it. "You've been in and out of consciousness yes?" Her head dipped downward and she stared at him. "What color dress am I wearing my lord?" Nic:The knot was sore, his head pounding harder as she pressed into the knot, he did indeed growl at her. For two days he had been in and out of consciousness, calling for his wife amidst the pain in his head. Unable to fathom why everything seemed so fussy, so dark. His jaw locked as she went digging in his scalp again. He could only make out an outline of the room, the image was gray, fussy as if someone had put gray cloth over his eyes and would not take it off. His head tilted back as her fingers forced his chin upward. "Yes..for two days, thought we all ready told you that."He mumbled before his head turned, canted to the side at her question. "I..."He paused. Was Shaden still in the room, he couldn't tell. "I...don't know"He mumbled low to the healer. No doubt confirming what she wasn't saying but he knew it, he had lost his sight. What was going to happen now? Was it permanent? Maahes: Maahes was but a ghost in a shell, pale and completely drained. Too proud to admit he, he had actually been crying as he found the door. His amber orbs were puffy and red, but he would never admit to such weakness. The warmth of the room had hit him, but he felt nothing. Yet slowly the frozen muscles of his body started to thaw. The woman who met him at the door said something, but he could not make it out. He was here to meet Pembroke, check on Shaden, and that's it. He tried to part his lips to speak, tell the woman of the Englishman coming, but nothing came out--not a sound. Doing as he was told he took a seat, and remained still; waiting. Shaden: She had leaned down to press a soft kiss to his cheek before she left the room admonishing him before the healer " Try and be nice.. your a horrible patient.. I'll be back soon.. " her hand soothed over his and squeezed gently before disappearing to go see Maahes.. She almost ran down the two flights of stairs hoping that he had Ealora with him and that she was safe.. but skidded to a halt when she saw him alone.. " you haven't found her ?" her voice was rife with guilt and shame... " I heard she left Skye with Perrigrin... Maahes what are we going to do ?" she moved to him settling in front of him at his knee.. her hand caressing his face.. softly " Maahes.. we will find her..." her hands rubbed up and down his arms warming him as Gerda brought in a tray of soup and warm milk.. " Gerda.. there are some of the generals clothes left from when he and my sister stayed here.. please go get them...?" she sent the housekeeper on a quest as she pulled the ripped and torn slippers from his feet.. hands rubbing the circulation back into them.. " You have to take care of yourself your no good to her dead " she pronounced before settling a blanket over his lap.. perching on the coffee table and handing him the thick creamy scalded milk.. " Drink.. will warm you.. if I know Gerda there is buttered rum in it too.. " Pembroke: Gerda had made it to the staircase when the door was rapped upon again when she opened it she told the man before her they were not open for business and received his staucny English reply " I'm here to see the General at his request good woman.. please.. if he is here .. show me in " those words seemed to be the golden key to the palace.. as he was lead into the greatroom.. " Sir Pembroke to see the General " she bobbed a curtsey and then was off again to fetch the clothes for the general... poor lad looked as if he'd been to war... "General.. Lady " he eyed the couple before the hearth with suspecion.. of course he knew of the Lady Shaden.. Ealora's ... infamouse courtesan sister.. but was quite shocked to see her so... caring over her bastard of a brother in law.. how could everyone seem to love the brute was beyond him " I'm answering your request.. now what is going on with Ealora?" yes he used her given name.. he felt he deserved it... after all he had saved the woman's life. Avery: "I see.."Avery replied as she released his chin and moved back to the bag she had brought with her, removing from it a bottle of herbs. "You can make this tea...or have someone do it for you any time you feel pain. I'll give it to the lady Shaden when I leave.." The bag was closed and she let out a sigh. "Sir Stryker..I doubt I need to tell you this but your eyes are cloudy, and yes you have confirmed my suspecions. Your sight is gone. Perhaps from the blow but only time will tell if your sight returns. I am sorry..As my patient I can not give this information to your mistress, but as her employee, her guardian, I do caution you to do so as soon as possible." The bag was lifted, placed over her head and settled against her hip. "Rest tonight..I will be back in a few days to check up on you.."She bobbed her head at the man, even knowing he could not see, it was hard not to do so before she moved to the door and out. She stayed patiently in the hallway, waiting for Gerda to let the Lady Shaden know she was leaving. Nic: The covers were gripped and un gripped within his hands as he heard the lady moving about, as she moved it was only wobbly lines within a world of gray. "I will..goodnight Lady Thorn.."He spoke as the door clicked closed. Waiting only a few seconds before the covers were thrown back and he was setting his feet against the floorboards and lifting off the bed. He lifted his hands to his face, still only gray shadows, gray lines. He couldn't tell Shaden..he was not supposed to have any weaknesses. Reaching out, he felt for anything his way before he found the wall and moved along it to the door before fumbling to find the latch. Forget staying in bed, even through the haze of consciousness, he had heard something about the General wife missing. He had to do something. Throwing the door open, he used the wall to guide his steps till he was out the door before pushing off it. Couldn't let anyone see him like this. Though his steps were slow, calculating so he didn't run into anything. Maahes: Obedient, he obeyed Shaden allowing the warm liquid to try and melt back some of this ice that formed around his heart. He would do well with a good night's rest, but if any of them understood what true love was they would know it would not come until she was safe in his arms. "Shaden please," His voice was so quiet and so tormented how could she continue? "I just want to get to Ealora. I'm not here for you to take care of me, I just needed a place to meet Pembroke." The man's name was a funny sound on his lips, as was all English names, but for once he was not disgusted by the name. As the man entered the room, Maahes realized his mistake--he sat down. Everything in him had to cry out as he stood to fill the space from floor to ceiling with his massive frame. The man to him seemed to have the same look in his eyes all others kept as Shaden came into view and without thinking Maahes stepped infront of her. His hand falling back to touch the arm of the courtesan as if to make sure she would not move into harms way. "I'll pay you anything." He spoke crazed, eyes bloodshot and holding inside the insanity. Lord he hated this, as it felt just like the man was hitting him once more. Yet this time it was more of his pride then his jaw that was blazing. "Find her again." It took a lot for another man to admit his defeat, but more so with Maahes. He hated this man across from him, because he knew he had touched the same body that was of his wife. Yet he could think of no one else that knew of the Pirate's hide-out. Gerda: Gerda moved down the hallway with a bundle of Maahes things.. that had been left to laundry last time he was there with his wife.. everything but boots.. there was no kind of foot attire at all.. big enough to fit that man in the whole house.. whatever was the lad going to do.. he couln't go back out serching for his wife in those tattered slippers.. she sighed without an answer for herself.. as she saw the Lady Healer waiting outside Sir Strykers door.. " The Mistress be with Guest.. here's some coin for your trouble... will you be needing a carriage back to the healers wards...?" she paused in her endevor of getting the Generals Clothes.. to deal with the healer.. after this night she would be asking for a raise.. she should have been in her bed hours ago! Shaden: The look on her face was one of hurt as he told her he had only come because of meeting Pembroke.. she nodded and stood and the English Captain was announced, and Maahes formed a protective barrier before her.. though she moved from behind him to his side as he pleaded with the Englishman , her eyes wide, horribly pained to see him brought so low.. she echoed his sentiments " If there is anything you can do... we will pay or do anything for you to help find her " the complete single minded dedication to finding her sister was displayed on her face for all to see.. it matched Maahes in desperation and love... Pembroke: "She is missing... since when ?" his voice boomed like thunder as he looked at the sad shape the General was in... " Dammit what Happened now.. ?" strong hands raked thru dark curly shortened hair as his cystal blue eyes settled on the pair before him " I told you to keep her close.. that there was danger.. to her and her sister.. did you not belive me ?" he was exasperated with the General.. scolding him as if he were a school boy.. yet something in their desperation spoke to him and he seemed to calm abruptly " Anything.. Anything at all I can do I will.. just tell me what you need " you would have though he was the King of England himself with that offer... and he ment every word.. The Pirate Queen had a soft spot in his heart.. no he didn't love her.. but she did mean something to him... he just wasn't sure what... and he knew without a doubt.. the sun it'self would dim hiding it's face in grief if she were no more... Avery:Avery closed her fist around the coins before nodding her head to Gerda as she motioned to the hallway"Actually..I need to speak with your Mistress first.." She moved with the woman back downstairs and into the great room. She would not be ignored. Oh no, not after being called out of her bed. She paused as the others spoke of a missing woman. Her heart ached for the pain in their faces and her chin dipped to offer some short of respect as she cleared her throat. "Excuse the intrusion..Lady Shaden, Sir Stryker is resting in his rooms. This is a tea you may brew for him if he is feeling pain."She held out the bottle to the woman while the two colored eyes, one gray, one blue swept over the two men pausing on the General. She had heard of him. "General, I'd like to take a look at you if you do not mind. You do not look well at all.." Nic: He heard the scuff of shoes as he left the room. Who was moving about the home? Avery voice floating up about meeting with Shaden. Damn it! It didn't matter. He had to get downstairs and offer his own support of Ealora's disappearance. Slow steps, one...two...one two he moved down the hall till he found the railing of the stairs. This time he used its guidance, each step downward making his head pound all the more. He used the advantage of their voices to guide him into the great room though he did stumble into a table, his hands reaching out to grab the furniture for support before he straightened. He had heard Avery say General, he swung his head around, only he was looking at Pembroke as he spoke. "General..anything I can do to help, please, let me offer my assistance." Maahes: "Her ship needs a captain, she's run off with the pirates." His chest throbbed again, and this time he would reach out for Shaden's arm only to steady himself back down onto the seat. There was a fire still in his eyes as he raised them to Pembroke, "Can you leave tonight? Right now?" There was that wildness in him that dared any of them to touch him, but it would be Nic that caught his attention. "You keep Shaden safe." Maahes wasn't sick, no he was far from it, just of the mind. As the woman healer spoke up he shook his head and clenched his teeth. "I'm fine." Stubborn fool. "I'm ready when you are." Daring the captain to tell him no he met the man's gaze once more. Traitor. Scoundrel. How could the man call himself Ealora's friend when he was with the enemy of her lands..Though..how would Skye feel if they knew their Lord General was asking for help. Gerda: Gerda had settled the clothes on the sofa near the general.. eyes contacting with the mistress and mouthing ' no boots' with a shrug of her shoulders.. only to be called to the mistress's side with the waggle of a finger.. while the Healer spoke to Shaden.. then turned her attention to the General , she was directed up to Shadens room where already some yule presents had been hidden.. including one pair of fine tooled leather boots for her brother in law.. Once again up the stairs she went.. grumbling beneath her breath about why did the Mistress have to have her rooms on the Third floor? Shaden: Shaden took the medicine from the healer and as she pocketed it heard Maahes rough dismissal of her expertise.. " Maahes I think it would be best" she grasp his arm as he swayed then helped him down to the sofa once again... " To at Least let her check you out a bit " her eyes turned to Pembroke then.. broke away as Nic's voice filtered into the room.. though he was speaking to Maahes .. that was evident he was looking at Pembroke.. confusion played over her features for a moment, before he adjusted when Maahes spoke of protection for her.. and she realized perhaps he was just.. sizing up the Englishman... "Nicholas you shouldn't be out of bed... " she moved across the room to his side.. her hands slipping about his waist.. " The healer said you should not be up for at least a few more days " the voice that met his ears was warm and concerned.. if not exasperated. Pembroke:"The tide goes out in five hours.. we can leave with it.. I suggest you eat.. rest and get some clothes on.. and we will be taking the Wolf.. not the Shadow... they will expect her crew... not a Britania warship.. if you want her crew to join us that is all well and good.. but they will abide my orders... or I'll have them executed... no discussion " he leveled a stare at the General.. " I'll go and ready the Wolf... be there before the tide or I'll leave without you " he looked over at the women and the wobbly man.. with what appeared to be genuine concern.. " I'll bring her back.. or die trying you have my word " Avery:"I can not force my care General..if you do not wish it then fine." Honestly the man scared her so she was half relieved about not having to look him over but she kept her fear tucked behind a face of concern. She turned as Nic spoke and let out a sigh. Men, they never listened. Her lips pressed tightly together, she was about to ask how he had made it downstairs blind. Thank God she thought about it before actually saying it. Nic: He gave a nod of his head in the General's direction. He could hear the desperation in the General voice. Felt his pain rather then being able to see it. If anyone knew of true love and loosing it, the grief it caused, it was the hermit. His arms moved, curling around Shaden's shoulders as she curled her arms around his waist. "I'm fine..I could not lay abed and do nothing.."His head was still pounding, the loss of his sight frustrating so that his voice was grated, irritated as he spoke. His head tilted a bit, hearing Pembroke voice and not being able to make out the man. Who was this person? What the hell was going on..Used to both sight and sound and with the pounding of his head, the mixed voices were actually making him dizzy. Maahes: "Her crew is gone, and her ship is fast. She is the star of our fleet." He stood again taking hold the clothes Shaden sat out for him. "I'll go with you. We can leave right now." Impatient one he was. "Whatever it takes to get her home." Pulling the shirt over his body he stood then waiting for the captain. "The Shadow is ready..we can leave right now." Historical wasn't he? Call it a hunch, "She left with a Pirate, with a ransom on her heard. Tell me five hours nothing will happen." His fists clenched tightly, "I dare you." Gerda:Gerda returned with the boots and set them beside the generals clothing... and waited to see if anyone needed anything more..noting Sir Stryker had joined the group.. when he should be abed... her face frowned.. it was more like an infirmary than a courtesan house lately..Maybe the Healer should just take a room.. be less traveling for the lass... "Milady Thorn.. you carriage awaits the footmen will see you back to the wards." she nodded soflty in the direction of the front door , outside the footmen were likey freezing as the new snow continued to fall like big fluffy froze dandelions. Pembroke: "you want to crew her ship with only you and I ? your mad as a hatter!" he scoffed " The wolf is ready but they will no bare out of the bay until the tide rises... it's obvious you not a sailor General.." he growled... " The men on the WOLF can be trusted above all others... seasoned soilders and navy.. they will serve us well I assure you.. we leave with the tide.. you can come with me if you wish.. there is food aboard.. and a bed.. you look like you havn't slept in days " he looked back to the Lady " Lady Shaden.. I bid you farewell.. I shall return with your sister.. until we meet again " he bowed stifly to the healer.. and the guard at the Lady Aramoires.. side then nodded to the housekeeper... as he moved to the door... if the General followed so be it.. if not he would come later.. meanwhile Pembroke had a ship.. to ready. Avery:"Thank you Gerda" Avery spoke with a soft as soft as a hummingbird. With one final hesitation to look at the General she turned and moved into the hall to collect her cloak and gloves. Each item was pulled on delicately, the poor footman would be ice when she got out there! Turning to regard Shaden and Nic in the doorway of the great room she nodded her head to the pair. "You take care of him..I'll be back in a few days to check up on him and see if the knot is gone. Cold compresses.."A finger lifted as if that would set in the point before she was out the door to return to the infirmary. Nic: Back and forth the men's banter continued. Take the Shadow Storm, No the wolf is better. It was likely a fight of my weapon is better then yours! "God speed General..I hope you find her."And this time he was talking to the couch though his head lifted as someone moved. Avery? Pembroke? Damn it. He didn't like this. Maahes: It was moments like this he missed Tommy the most. She would be dead before she sent the Lion to be alone with the pack of Wolves. "As you wish." He muttered, "I packed her a trunk it is on the Shadow I'll get it." As Pembroke turned eyes on Shaden he started to step between them with a snarl, but the man turned away. With Pembroke moving out so did Maahes, turning only to glance at Shaden once before filtering out into the night. Sadly he looked forward to being on the sea, he could sleep and still be in motion to her. In his robes, tunic and barefoot he followed behind the captain. "Do you know where this Island is? I've got a map. Should you not tell your Lord? Will he not miss you?" His eyes passed over the little healer getting inside her carriage, and thought entered his head she should come..she should come, but the image of Ealora beaten again kept him from vocalizing his thoughts. What if? The palm of his hand captured his chest again as the stress of his heart pushed forward. Shaden: She nodded to Avery and waved her goodbye understanding the instructions and that the woman would be back.. as Pembroke and Maahes settled which ship they would take and soon departed as well she moved to Maahes side.. grasping his hands she pressed the pair of boots to him " Put them on you'll do her no good catching your death " glacial green hues rose to meet his... " Bring her home Maahes... " the words were like a prayer and grief all mixed up into her voice.. she was begging him to bring her sister home... she released him then.. and stepped back inside the doorway.. her arms crossed against the cold.. as she watched him and Pembroke move off down the street.. it was funny how a blanket of snow made the world so quiet... so clean... Pembroke: "I'll send Maubury a Message telling him of an emergency.. do not worry over me General.. and hurry.. get her things and we will be on our way... " he held out his hand to the General then.. as they reached the corner of the street "truce.. for Ealora... " he questioned... Gerda: Behind her mistress she pulled her back inside the house and shut the door.. "you'll be catching your death.. and that's all we need is a sick mother to be " she scolded as she practically pushed her mistress back toward the fire.. " The both of you need to be upstairs in bed.. nothing good is going to come over worrying tonight.. now off with you.. both " hands on her hips she shooed them.. as she begin to clean up the mess left behind.. Nic:His hand moved to find the edge of the wall as Shaden moved away. He stood, like a dumb idiot the group began to leave. First Avery followed by Pembroke and the General, still arguing it seemed. It was only when he heard Gerda talking to Shaden about catching a death of a cold while pregnant and the door shutting that he releazed for a moment he was alone within the room. His head swung left and then right till he located the source of Gerda voice and even Nic could not help but grin as he heard the woman cleaning up the mess. Such a mother, grandmotherly woman. She was a dear. Fimrly shooed. He reached out for Shaden, missing her by an inch, he felt the breath of her clothing and reached for her again, this time grasping her arm. "Shaden...she's right..you need rest.."his voice had calmed again, the deep rich baritone it always was. Maahes:The man's hand would fall short, as Maahes eyed it darkly. "I'm not worried for you, Captain. I'm worried for Skye. I will take your hand, but it will not be with my heart." He rose amber orbs from the hand to the man, "but I know what will come of my country. You will save her now only to kill her later. I am sorry I cannot make truce with someone who intends to see my death carried out with war. I ask you only because you are the best, and that if we are going to our doom, then Skye will not be without a ship to battle your country later. Let me make myself clear on that." Still going? "If my intentions have caused you to change your mind, I will understand..it is why I offer money to ease with the persuasion." Moving up the ramp onto the shadow Maahes returned with a small trunk of Ealora's things, and other various items. As well a small bag had been packed containing things he would need, but it would be the various weapons crossed over his frame as he emerged from the cabin that would be all he needed. Pembroke: "keep your money and your hand then... I've not changed my mind and if you were to stay on land I would still seek her out.. she is my responsibility I saved her life.. and for once.. I didn't kill my enemy.. make no bones about it it is not for you... that I go" he waited while the general gathered his things then turned making off for the wolf.. four hours now ... and they would set sail.. toward Paradise Point.. to Save the Pirate Queen. Shaden: "I need rest.. ?" she rolled her eyes as she leaned into him softly her arm curling about his waist.. " You should have never been up at all.. come on I'll help you to bed.. " she gave Gerda the small bottle of medicine.. " Can you bring him up some tea in a bit ?" she kept moving knowing that the tea would likey arrive scant few moments after they found his room.. up the stairs and then to his room they went. her helping him as he still seemed woozy , once there she ushered him to the bed... " now.. get undressed and get in bed.. no more roaming for you tonight !" how many men wished they could hear those words uttered from the firey haired ones lips.. probably more than could be counted...

Paradise was blooming, teeming with life. Nobles from all over the world escaping autumn, escaping the coming winter. Ships were posed in the harbor, beckoning the incoming ships. Life seemed to be going well for the people, more coin from the nobles helped with the mundane of things. From the harbor, his home sat upon the hillside, a massive frame of stone and the only building larger then those in town. A virtual castle amongst the people. A horse and cart were rented from one of the harbor mates. Within the front, Kael rode with Malice, without the restraint of disguise, behind him Perry and JC, Sam and Taylor who looked much worse then his last time in Paradise Point. The two men were gagged and bound next to a rolled up carpet which bulked as if something were rolled up inside it. The people stopped and stared at the cart as it rolled through the streets headed for fortress of the High Lord, the torches in the distance beckoning them in. Even as they rounded into the court yard of the fortress, the sound of laughter flitted through open windows. He was having a gathering it seemed. "Perry...JC..bring the carpet. I'll take the other two. Wait till I call for you, I want to talk to the High Lord first.." The dry voice of Kael spoke within turning as he ushered Sam and Taylor from the wagon. The two men stumbled and wiggled from the cart, both had their legs clasped in chains to keep them from running off. Sam's hand found Taylor's and squeezed it, Taylor eyes found Sam's and his eyes crinkled at the side, though none could see his mouth, he was smiling at the man beside him. "You try anything...I kill him....right here"Kael spoke as he pointed at Taylor while watching Sam. His eyes moved to Taylor next as he pointed at Sam. "You try anything..I kill him..now move it." He grasped Sam's arm and shoved him forward. The man stumbled before finding his footing, shuffling awkwardly along side his companion as Kael trailed behind them, Perry and JC both clasping the rug behind him. Through the halls the men walked in calm. The nobles, brightly painted females in gowns that sparkled and shown with men, clean shaven, press dressed turned within the halls, snooty noses pointed down in disgust as the men passed, others seemed to not care as they passed, continuing their conversations, laughing, flirting. Before the double doors of the banquet hall he stopped, motioned to Perry and JC to stay there before shoving the two men through it as his voice rose in octive. All for the show. "My most High Lord Kelly...I bring you good news!" Behind the large banquet table, a dark head rose. The High Lord Airk Kelly was not a handsome man. It looked as if black hair was never combed, dark and greasy as if it had never been washes though the beard that covered his grimy face was combed and trimmed to prefection. His chin was laid within his hand as his finger curled over the tops of a womans breasts as they practically fell out of her dress. His fingers moved away from the flesh to sit up within the seat. "Kael the dark heart...what have you brought me?" High Lord Airk Spoke, his voice as greasy as his appearance. The nobles seated and some standing within the hall turned to regard the strange intrusion and the two men he lead bound inside. The music within the hall died and silenced. A needle could of fallen and everyone would of heard it hit the ground. Shoving the two men again, this time hard enough to knock them to their knees. Kael sneered down at them before waving a hand at the High Lord, pompous ass. He took was a pawn in his little game. "The first mate and the second mate of the Scourge of the Seas..." Gasps went around the room. Well it was obvious the posters put up in other lands had indeed hit their mark. Kael's face did not waver, there was no smile as he straightened the black tunic as he moved around the two men to join the lord at the table. Guards were all ready moving to lift the men from the ground and hall them closer to the table. "This is what you've brought me? What about the scourge of the seas?" Airk hissed as he leaned towards Kael. "Will you disgrace me in front of my guests?" Kael's brow arched upward as he turned to face the gathering but he was watching the Lord of the lands more then them. "Of course not my lord...these men..captured something else for you..you should reward them accordingly..." His hand rose and he snapped his fingers. Through the archway of the double doors, Perry and JC hauled the carpet in. A nod of his head and the two men leaned down to place the carpet on the ground, the edge grabbed and they shoved. The Carpet began to unravel revealing slowly a body wound up within it. Chains clattered as the figure was unrolled completely. Russet curls flew as she sat up upon the rug The Golden chains wrapping her form completely, again to prevent escape but the clothing was more of a present for the guests and the high lord. A small top and bottom more of an amazon get up of the ancient Greeks, black in color setting off the golden chains all the more. Celadon eyes slanted staring daggers around the room as she was hauled to her feet. The High Lord had all ready begun to rise from his chair with clapping his hand and letting out a laugh. A glance around but the blackheart was gone, where had he gone? A key glittered on the table and he reached for it while ushering Perry and JC forward. "You men are to be congratulated....and rewarded of course. Come join my table..Captain.."He spoke while turning his attention from the men to his guard, a toss of the key to the man and he waved at Ealora, ushering him to unlock her as he sat back down. "Unlock the wench. Ladies and Gentleman, the scourge of the seas captured! Captain...let the wench dance for us before she goes off to jail..if she refuses...kill them.."His hand wove towards Sam and Taylor who were fighting against the bonds to get to Ealora but quickly stilled at the Lords words. Ealora eyes stared daggers at the lord as her gag was removed shortly followed by the chains which fell to the floor with a clink. Celadon eyes swiveled to find the people he wanted killed if she didn't comply. The pain was evident on her face. Sam...Taylor.. "Play!" The High Lord shouted from his chair, leaned back, his hand in his upturned palm. The musicians complied. Slowly, fear was gripping the, the high lords wrath or the scourge? By the looks of the lady, they choose something exotic, slow and sensual. Ealora jaw set tight, was she supposed to dance or seduce? Another glance went to Sam and Taylor..she did not want them to die even if they had betrayed her... As the beat continued..the people staring..Ealora began to move small steps as her hips rolled in time with the beat, her eyes cast on the High Lord. One thing was clear in her face, he was going to regret making her do this. The rest of her body began to move in time with her hips, a sensual roll from shoulder to hip, like the seas rolling into shore. One hand rolled from the top of her head, down across the scar of her sons name, between the valley of her breasts to her hip as she changed from rolling her hips to swaying back and forth. Her other hand worked from her thigh upward to join her other hand before both moved upward, over the curves of her breasts and into her hair, pulling the russet curls up as they went. Elbows spread outward, her breasts popped forward as she rolled her body, in and out, each part of her body a taunt and tease that would never be theirs to grasp. Releasing her hair, she let her hands fall, her back arching as she dipped backward as far as she could go without falling before pulling her body back upward, hands upon her hips as she swayed, pushing her bottom out for all to see. The High Lord grinned stupidly as he watched the woman. It seemed every eye was trained upon the dancing captive, leering. "Captain..that top..."His words trailed off and he waved his hand. The Captain moved forward, his hand moving around the woman's belly, he pulled her back but she did not resist as a dagger was produced and the strings of the top cut, the material falling away to reveal fully the pert breasts beneath. He dared his hand to stray across the edge of her breast before moving away. Ealora dance continued as if nothing had happened. Feet moving in time with the roll of hips, the move of arms as she swayed this way and that moving closer to the table and still no one stopped her. Airk lips had turned into a stupid grin as he watched her use the table as part of her dance. Another wave of his hand and the Captain had moved again, this time, her bottoms were cut, completely naked, he wanted to humiliate her. Unlucky for him, Ealora had never been ashamed of her body. She continued to dance, using the table to steady her as her movements became more progressed. Airk sat up within his chair to get a better look and that was when the strike came. With a cry, she lunged, her finger nails digging into the skin of his cheek. With a cry, he fell back into his chair a gloved hand coming to tend to the blood that began to pour from the three deep scratch marks within his cheek. The guards were all ready moving, capturing the naked struggling female as she fought against them to get to the High Lord. "Lock her up! We'll add attempted murder to her charge..the trail begins tomorrow! and get those two out of here..put them in the tower to await execution after hers!" The High Lords voice boomed around the room though there was all ready a gaggle of females moving around him to tend the wounds. Ealora naked struggling body was pulled from the room, followed by her first and second who couldn't help but grin behind their gags....hellcat indeed.

Ealora: Hidden within the forest untouched by their hands, the jail of Paradise Point was rather simple. Large stone and moter supplied the buildings square shape, a dirt path the only thing that lead back to the building where the thick foliage denied the building any type of sunlight not supplied by candlestick or torch. For a jail it was rather simple. A front room for the guards to mingle, for change of shift to take place while the large oak door within the small room the only thing leading back to the hallway open which five or six doors lay on either side with only a slit where food could be passed through or the prisoners to be checked on without fear of being attacked through bars. Each door reinforced with iron and a single latch and lock upon which there was only one guard with access to the keys. With the failure of sunlight and the dense forest surrounding the area, the hallway and cells gave off the odor of bodily fluids and death. The only comfort the prisoners were afforded was a thin piece of cloth, hardly a blanket and a small heap of straw on which to rest. Rats scurried here and there, though where they got in and our was a mystery but each one looking for that elussive meal so sparcely given. Ealora had been placed in the last cell at the end of the hall, furthest in and the darkest room. The cell itself was devoid of straw or blanket to rest on and only a single candle to illuminate part of the dark corner that was her personal hell at the moment. Since being thrust inside, she paced...back and forth...back and forth, the walls making it a struggle to breath, like a caged panther..unhappy and growling. Perry:Down once more the line of the cells like a memory far too close. The pirate captain had seen first hand what kind of damage the mind could take when pinned, but felt no remorse for the woman before him. If only she knew why the money she was worth was so important; she would not struggle so much he was sure. Lives were legends, and legends lost if they all died here right? Yet, the scoundrel could not help but check upon the caged animal before him. Her life for a hundred..would she understand. "Good evening, Captain." So spoke the mouth of a venomous snake. Had they given her back her clothes? If that had he would still release the dark green cloak from his shoulders-- a sacred beloved piece of his life--to her. "Here..it's cold." His voice was quiet and so very full of shame. She looked the part of the wild animal, and not the shimmering jewel from the nights before. What had he done? Ealora: A thin shift of white was the only thing she had been given and it had taken her only a few minutes before his arrival to put it on. Her head lifted at his voice. Celadon eyes were blazing with fire, anger and pain mixed together looked very well like madness. Her face was pale though, she had not slept in days. Had not eaten. Not since he had captured her at least. She let the cloak be put around her shoulders. She didn't really want anything from him but she was freezing, both inside and out. "What are you doing here?"Even the honey of her voice was lost, words just a drone from lips as pale as the face to match. Perry: "I..I've come to fulfill any last wishes. Last words.." His fingers curled around the bars as he stood there watching, his heart breaking. This was very hard to see her, like watching a Goddess fall. She was always so strong, but here she was broken. Peregrin was beyond ready to give this life up, to return to another..to die, but how would he be able to do that with the lives of so many in his hands. It was a delicate balance, where the thin line between right and wrong was crossed with every step he took. "What is it you would have me do for you, Ealora?" He had the guards under his control anything that she wished would be brought. Ealora: She had begun to move again. She could not stay stationary long nor look anywhere but where her feet moved else the walls felt like they were closing in on her. "Last wishes?" She spoke then let out a hollow laugh. "You...betrayed me...brought me here for a trial all ready fixed for my death and you want to fulfill any of my last wishes.."Another hollowed laugh sounded. Each word hard to get out for the scene of Maahes and Shaden still in bed together, their words, their moans, his words...his baby...still ringing inside her head. Dreams die hard and you hold them in your hand long after they turn to dust..She had said those words to him and even now they too rang in her head like a wardrum. "I told Maahes..."gods did his name make her heart ache.."I told him what I am about to tell you.."She paused and this time she stopped and turned her eyes to him again. "Not every man ever gets a second chance..not all men live...truly live..get to love...I stalled your execution for another day..I would of kept fighting for you and your men because you helped me, perhaps I do not see the whole plot but I see now it was for what...this? For the bounty money on my head..My last words Perry? I have none..My story is not one I want remembered..I am not some great warrior woman who saved a nation or did noble deeds all her life..I was a pirate..who fell in love..was given a second chance to live life without innocent bloodshed...even though I did not deserve it. Even though that love breaks my heart and soul in two now."Lips pressed tightly together, as if she were finished but then she spoke again. "My last wish...I want to be buried with my son, his grave is here in Paradise Point..even if I am torn apart, I want some part of me buried with him.." Perry:"You give up so easy, Ealora Malory Asad-Aziem. I had never known a wife of a General to be so weak." Blue hues passed from the door back to the Pirate as he walked down the line of the bars. "You will be buried with your son, this I can promise you, but must it be now?" He took a deep breath, "You don't know me, Ealora don't judge me. If you knew you would do the same. What they offered I couldn't steal if I wanted. It was more then the money, it was the freedom to move over the ocean without toll or search. That man granted me what I could not have taken..Don't you understand? Having spend the nights on my ship don't you see? I've got a crew who depends on me, just like you. You of all people can't judge me. You delayed the execution. I drugged your husband so he would not follow." He heaved a heavy breath and stopped his pacing and motioned for her to come closer. "You can't give up now, Hellcat. Your life has just begun." Ealora: Lips pressed tightly together as he spoke of giving up, of not knowing a Generals wife being so weak. Broken all most in two, how could she not be? Did he realize how much her husbands betrayal had drained from her? Of how her husband had been her strength now that the strength of revenge was dead along with Benjamin Brad. "I'm the last person to judge you Perry...pirates have no right to judge each other." She moved to pace again but stopped to look at him again. "You want to move freely over the sea without toll or searching? Change your profession..." I drugged your husband...The words rang within her head not sinking in until he was motioning at her. It wasn't his beckoning hands that had her flying at the bars and grasping at him, yanking him to them. "You what?! What the hell have you done Perry?"The fire in her eyes blazing nearly out of control. "No lies this time, no pretty words, what the hell have you done?" she growled, yes the panther in her was raging. Perry: "Relax.." His arms curled around her capturing her hips and squeezing her against the bars, "You listen to your heart, do as it would tell you. You will learn the truth soon enough..Your husband is a stupid stupid man, but he is not one to be so quick to let you go." A smirk crossed his face, as he closed his eyes to press his head against the bar. "The guard is watching...I can hear his thoughts." A deep inhale was taken and his eyes darkened, as he let her go . "Keep that cloak on, they desire you enough." With that he let her go completely and took a step away. "It is hard not to, Ealora..you are a beautiful woman." Ealora:She wiggled against the bars, pressed between them and him on the other side, growling as she fought to get away from him. Listen to her heart? Would a heart speak if broken? Her lips curled into a snarl as he called Maahes stupid, she could not help but be protective of the man, hell she could not help that while broken hearted, she still loved him. "If he knows what's best for him..he'll keep the hell away from me." she hissed even as the pirate grinned and leaned into the bars. Heard the guards thoughts? What the hell was he talking about? Released, she moved away from the bars as fast as her feet could carry her. "All of Paradise Point saw me naked the other night..its all lust..beauty has nothing to do with it..put a bag on a ugly woman's head and she could still get laid." Yes she was doubting her beauty for one, shooting down his compliment in the other."Get out of here Perry..hope I don't survive this because if I do..I will come after you..."

The banquet hall had been transformed over night. The tables had been removed replaced by platform with chairs all on different levels so that all that attended could see what was happening. The furthest wall in the room had been replaced with a large desk upon which seven seats sat, the middle on a small stand above the rest. All decorations had been removed leaving the room quite bear besides the space of chairs and large desk. With dawn just beginning to break through the trees and filter within the room, it gave it the air that something majestic was about to take place. The door swung open and people began to file into the room, some laughing while others discussed the night before and the woman with claws like a panther that ripped into the High Lords face. Women took one side of the room while the men took the other. Behind the throng of people who had come to see the trial were seven men, including the High Lord, dressed in black robes as if they had just gotten out of bed. Slowly the seven began to file behind the desk each taking a seat while the High Lord took the middle and slightly higher chair. Now all they had to do was wait. Covered in a line and small shift, she was hauled from the jail cell still pacing like a panther back and forth. Stopping outside the cell, her hands were thrust together behind her back and clasped in irons by one guard while the other clasped irons around her legs. With a shove she was ushered forward, her feet shuffling with the clink of chain against chain out to a waiting cart where she was thrust up into the back, made to stand as they made their way from the jail back to the home of the High Lord. All around people had gathered, those not allowed in the High Lords home or could not afford a seat at the trial. "Witch! Harlot! Murderer!" The calls began as some threw handfuls of dirt at her while others spit in direction. Her chin tilted upward in defiance as her jaw locked tight staring ahead as if the words did not phase her as she rocked and swayed with the chart as it headed up the hill to the fortress. Hardly treated fairly thus far, she was equally treated as she was shoved from the cart. Loosing her footing with the chains, she landed upon her side with a groan, letting her eyes fall closed as nausea swept up from her stomach into her throat as those gathered around laughed. Yanked to her feet she was thrust towards the home. Bear feet trembled with the cold stones of the floor even though the whether outside was mild compared to autumn in Skye. Down the hall to the banquet doors where she was yanked to a stop till the doors opened. Voices that had been making the room hum with mixed conversations suddenly ceased as she appeared, dirt and spit smudged. Another shove and she was stumbling into the room amidst hums of whispered conversation and mild humorous laughter. Till she was within the center of the room, two guards on either side of her. The High Lord Airk Kelly shifted in his seat. The three jagged scratches on his face stitched up and swollen. His lips were pressed into a deep frown as he let his eyes roam over the chained woman within the middle of the room. Sitting up within the chair, he gave a wave of his hand and the murmuring within the room ceased. "Ealora Malory..You have been brought before this court on numerous charges..If you are willing to plead guilty to the charges then we may proceed to your execution without restraint..however, if you are unwilling to admit to your wrongs, we have testimonies to be heard and then this court of men you see before you will decide your fate..Do you have anything to say to this court now?" The High Lord spoke while gesturing with his hand, his final to gesture to the group of men who sat on either side of him before ushering a hand at her. Ealora eyes swept over the people, a sea of faces all blurring together, turning her head so they would know she was watching them. Some women choose to turn their heads downward, not meeting her stare while the men seemed more interested in leering at her nearly naked body. Finally her head turned back to the High Lord and his men. "I will not answer to your charges nor plead guilty.." A smile seemed to creep over the High Lord's face and he slapped a hand down on the armrest of his chair. "Very well..Let the Trial begin..on the charges of murder to.."He paused to pick up a piece of parchment and read from it each name. "Captain Benjamin Brad, Captain Vola Brad, Captain Marcus Daniels, Captain Jack I-can and Captain Am-mon Khalid. This court calls in Witness Joseph Gallard..."

From the row of men, a gentleman stood, the cap from his head taken off. All eyes turned to him, even some of the men turned to watch him. Ealora's eyes turned to regard the man as he stood. Fraggle Rock! She cursed inside her head. "You know this woman Mr. Gallard?" The High Lord asked as a hand waved at Ealora. "I do my lord.." Came the reply. "How do you know this woman Mr. Gallard?" "I served with her on the crew of Captain Benjamin Brad..and I was still in his crew up until she killed him.." Came the reply again. "and why do you think she killed him Mr. Gallard?" Ealora swung from Gallard to the High Lord, she let out a growl of disbelief, that had nothing to do with the charge, it was opinion! "Welp..see Captain Brad was married to Captain Vola Brad..he ended the affair he was havin with mz. Mallory, guess she didn't seem to happy with it..that's what I'm figurin.."Came Joseph reply as he shuffled on his feet and turned a grin on Ealora. "So...she murdered both Captain Brads out of sheer spite..a if I can't have him, no one will..."The High Lord spoke as he waved at the accompany of people and gesturing to the standing man. "Mr. Gallard, you knew Captain Marcus Daniels...?" "I did My Lord" "You were not present when that man was killed..correct?" "That is correct." "How did you know the man Mr. Gallard?" "He was a crewmember of Benjamin Brad till Ben promoted him to another ship. A flag ship." "and you believe Bloody Mallory was involved in his death?" "I wasn't present my lord, but yes. She was none to happy when he got promoted over her..swore she would kill him for betraying her." Ealora growled. She had sworn to kill him for betraying her and trying to sell her into slavery g'd**nit! "I see. But Mr. Gallard, you were present when Captain Jack Ican and Captain Ammon Khalid were murdered by this woman?" "Yes My Lord..she murdered those men.." Another growl came from the pirate, Benjamin had killed those men! She was merely part of the crew then. True she had done nothing, but she had been a blood thirsty pirate. Orders were orders back then! The high Lord grinned at the growling woman and waved a hand at the man."Thank you Mr. Gallard, you may sit down.." The witnesses continued. All men of Benjamin as Ealora knew she had rightly killed every crew member of both Vola and Marcus crew, including both captains. Each testimony was near the same, she was present when Captain Benjamin brad died, she had done it. Yet each 'witness' stood up from the row on the wall, giving their account and opinion on what had happened and why she did it. No fair trial...she hadn't been expecting one...but still.. "Now..on to the charge of burning and pillaging ships.."The High Lord continued as the room hushed from murmuring whispers of the witnesses who had spoken their peace. "I've no need to call the witnesses again, each one attesting you were part of the crew...a pirate..Each man in turn for his testimony has been pardoned of crime. Since you murdered the very people who would..I have no doubt...no doubt been a witness against you and also responsible, the blame falls solely on your shoulders. That being said Mallory, We'll move on...." "Hold on my Lord...I have not spoken my peace.."Came a deep rich voice from the back of the room. Ealora was forced to keep forward but she fought to turn around to find the source of the voice. "Ah yes, come forward Kael. Come come.." The guards arms kept her from turning around but her head moved left and right to find the source of the voice even as boots echoed within the hall, moving further in. Finally Kael moved into view of her and Ealora issued a gasp, her face a complete mass of disbelief and pain. It was then for the first time, the man smiled...it was not pretty. It was ugly, full of ill intent. "How do you know this woman Kael?"the High Lord asked. "I was present when she pillaged a merchant vessel...she murdered my wife.." flowed the voice without emotion. "That charge is not on here, who was your wife sir?" The High lord dipped a quill in ink and prepared to write the name down upon the list. "Zipora.." Replied Kael. "Caleb!" Ealora voice rang out through the hall, her eyes pleading. How could he do this?! Kael's eyes slid towards Ealora, unwavering, unforgiving. As he continued"Zipora Malory" "Zipora Malory? A relative of Ealora's?" The High Lord asked as the name was added to the charges, intrigued. "Allow me to explain my lord.."Kael replied as he moved about the room. "I am sad to admit..Ealora Malory is....my sister....I was sailing with my wife to her sisters lands when my sister attacked, she without hesitation..impaled my wife on her sword..my wife was with child..so in a sense, she murdered my wife and my child.." The guards were still holding onto her. Perhaps afraid that she would lunge at Kael, or the High Lord again. It was lucky they were holding her up as the disbelief made her face pale even more. The room was spinning. Her brother? He came to out her? "You are the one who gathered these charges on your sister sir?" The High Lord asked. "I did my lord..she needs to answer to her actions..an eye for an eye...a life for a life.." The world was continuing to spin for Ealora. Each word uttered by the High Lord and her brother was getting hard and harder to understand. She would live the rest of her life regretting what had happened with Zipora and the baby within her, it had been an accident! Vola had pushed her! Quick, tell them Vola pushed you her mind screamed but her knees were all ready buckling beneath her, unable to support her weight as the world darkened and slid away and still the arms grasped her, holding her up as the proud pirate queen fainted.

A cool cloth was being pressed to her forehead. She could feel it before her eyes opened, blinking blurr eyed into the darkened space. She was back within the jail laying upon the ground as a hooded man tended to her face. "Who'er you?" She muttered as she struggled to sit up. The man pushed against her, pushing her back down. "A priest..rest..the trial has been postponed until tomorrow morning.." Gratefully, she sank back onto the hard floor. It was not comfortable but the room was spinning and she was feeling nausea swelling within her throat again. With the cool rag being run across her face and neck, she easily fell into a deep sleep within a few moments missing the loving touch the priest gave to her hand and the kiss that followed to her cheek. Clang, clank clank clank clank. The bars rattled as something was rattled against them drawing Ealora from her sleep. She jerked and gave a moan as she rolled to her side on the floor. A hand rose to rub at her eyes as she found the source of the clanking and abruptly sat up. Kael grinned at her from behind the bars. "Hello Ealora..how are you feeling?" Ealora threw the blanket up and rushed at the bars, reaching through to grab at him but he was all ready moving away. "You son of a.."She growled in his direction. "Watch it...that was your mother too.."Kael replied, a finger held up as if that would stall her finishing the sentence. "How would you do this...my own brother.." "Oh come now Ealora..you made me this way, how could you think it would not come to this?" Grasping the bars in her hand, she leaned heavily against them letting out a sigh as her eyes fell closed. "Caleb..it was a mistake..An accident..Vola pushed her into me..I'd give anything to take it back..I rescued from the brig, I got you out and then I left the crew, I devoted my life to hunting pirates then." "Yes I've heard, but that doesn't change what happened. You who taught your crew to believe that they were hunting justice where others where to afraid to go after them, but it was still murder Ealora..you still murdered people as a pirate, you murdered those Captains..you murdered your own son.." "I did not murder my son!" She screamed in his direction, her body all ready trembling in rage. "You may not of wielded the weapon that struck him down, but you left him here..with a pathetic family to weak to protect him. You killed him the moment you did that." He spoke as a chair was dragged to his position and he sat down into it and continued. "What I'm doing to you now Ealora...is what you did to me when you murdered Zipora and my child, You may of rescued me from being put into slavery but you left me broken and beaten, till there was nothing left but the grief..and when that faded, there was only rage. I'm merely taking your motto and putting it to good use"His arms spread open as he spoke, as if that explained it all. Ealora remained silent as celadon eyes raised to meet his face and he was grinning at her, cruel and unforgiving. "Justice! Make those who deserve it pay!" Kael/Caleb cried with a dark laugh as his arms which had crossed over his chest open wide as he let out the laugh then crossed again, looking sternly at her. "You murdered our mother when you left, couldn't take it..killed herself. Then Zipora and my child..it broke father. The man is mad with grief, can't even tell what year it is, keeps asking for mother, and it breaks him each time he's told she is dead, as if its happening all over again. Your deeds have not been lost on or family, stained our name, shunned by the whole community for the pirate sister...the pirate daughter." "Stop Caleb...please..I've changed.." Ealora was not one to plead but her hollowed voice rose in a plea to her brother. "Oh yes, fell in love with a moor...married him. Tell me Ealora, what will happen when your with child and he can't bed you anymore? Who do you think he is going to look to? That pathetic whore that you call a sister. It's what she does, think she'll welcome him with open arms? Might become his second wife once he tires of you. You know those moors have multiple wives, never satisfied, never faithful. Got that savage woman all ready living in your house, calls her a sister"He scuffed and let out another laugh. "Please, perhaps you'll be head wife, your sister and that savage second and third wife, one big happy family!" Another laugh as his arms uncrossed again and he leaned forward in the chair. Ealora had all ready begun to cry, her body wracked with shudders as she sang to her knees, her hands clasping the bars to ease her to her knees. "I don't forgive you Ealora..I never will..I've set up your torture for hell. Each day burning replaying the deeds you've done, the horrors you've created and the betrayal of the two people you love the most..I only wish I could visit to see what'll be done to you there.."He let out a sigh and rose from the chair. "You are no family of mine. I'm not your brother anymore Ealora. I'm Kael the darkheart, and you made me..Live with that, for your final days and know because of you, more people will suffer, you'll never be free of the blame, even after your death. I look forward to your execution Ealora." With that, he turned and moved out of sight Ealora's sobbing echoing in the cold stone walls.

Dawn rose brought and early the next day. Ealora had not slept all night, the words of Caleb...Kael still ringing in her skull as she was hauled from her cage, was bound again and dragged back to the fortress amidst the same sea of faces, the same lord ruling over the trial. "Well..now that the prisoner is back on her feet.. We shall continue. On to the charge of pillaging and murdering no less then ten innocent villagers..Mrs. Chivon...please rise.." The High Lord continued as if her faint had never happened but secretly the man was enjoying her apparent inner torture. This time a woman rose from the accompany of women. Her face twisted in pain at reliving the days she had long put behind her. Her chin tilted upward and she sneered at Ealora. "Mrs. Chivon, you were present at the assault on your city...and your husband I understand was murdered when he tried to resist...is that correct?" The High Lord Asked. "That's correct My lord.." "Do you recall seeing this woman present?" "No my lord..she was disguised..as a male..didn't find that out till years later..but it was her." "And how did you find out such a thing My lady?" "She as herself came to Tresis..came spoutin words about knowing an Ethan man who had raided the city and she was there to recruit men for vengeance..I got a letter from a man named Jonack..was my cousin, sayin posters had gone up and he was sure she had been this Ethan person that he was going to get her back for what she had done.." "Thank you Mrs. Chivon...you may sit down."Came the reply of the High Lord. "Others are not present for testimony on the charge of Tresis..however I think Mrs. Chivon will suffice..so we will more on...On the charge of impersonating a noblewoman of the court of mythinal and the torture and murder of two of the Royal Guard, we have as witness from Mythinal the Duke of Onjues..Your Grace.." A man within the front row of gentleman stood. He was very well dressed, rather remarkable that he flowed so easily with the others. Ealora did not know him, even though she had indeed impersonated a noblewoman, it was with intent. "Your Grace..your testimony please.."The High Lord would not ask questions of a nobleman, instead giving the man the floor to speak. The Duke moved forward, away from the others in order to be seen and heard. A rolled parchment within his hand was untied and he peered down as he unrolled it. A dull voice began to drone, reading from the parchment. "From the court records of our Lord Jesus Christ, within the year of 1349, records indicate a Baroness Ariela Deboes entered the court of Mythintal. For several months the lady was present within the court. At the time we were unaware the lady was in fact a known pirate, Ealora Malory and at the time was investigating and stalking two of the royal guards, One being Sir George Stanford and the other, Sir William Mollen. In the year of our lord 1349 several months after the arrival of the lady, she was discovered with the bodies of Sir Mollen and Sir Stanford, both bodies had signs of torture before death. Our records also indicate that two females whom the knights had been in contact with were missing. Neither of the girls were ever found and are presumed dead..Said pirate did escape after being Captured and was not seen or heard from again...until today. Also within our records it is indicated she spoke with the King and Queen before her escape though our records do not indicate what was said..a plot to assassinate the Royal Family was discovered shortly after along with a crew mate of hers who was left behind, a one Savy Jones. Records indicate the mans tongue was removed for falling to implicate who plotted the assignation although there is speculation since the crew member was of Malory crew that she was the one who planned the whole thing, Also the crewmate Savy Jones did escape days before his execution. He has not been seen since." Finished with reading his report, the Duke rolled up the parchment and moved to the High Lord and handed it over before he returned to his seat and settled down. The High Lord took the parchment and put it with the others upon the desk. "Thank you, your Grace..that answers both the impersonation charge and the plot to kill the royal family. So..we will move on.." The papers were shuffled and his eyes followed down on the parchment and read off "For the murder of the child, Issa Westenra.." At the high Lordss words, Ealora stiffened within the middle of the room, "I did not kill my son!" Her voice rang out within the stillness of the room, chairs scrapped and every eye turned her way as a guard hit the back of her knee making her sway and land upon her knees with a growl before she was dragged up again. The High Lord grinned at her growling and leaned back within the chair. "You say you didn't kill him...but the child Issa lived on this island, most people know a man and a woman were the ones to attack the Family Westenra murdering both his parents and the child.." "I was not present when Issa died..and he was my son..I loved him." Ealora replied, her head raising to stare the man in the eye. "Very well...it can not be proven who did murder your...son..so that charge will be dropped.." A quill was taken up and a line down through the charge before the lord continued. "however as for the other charges..we've heard testimony against you...will my lords please raise your fists, thumbs down for guilty and thumbs up for not guilty..." The seven men behind the desk who had remained silent through the whole trial all raised their right hands within a firm fist. The line started on the left and worked its way down to the High Lord then from the right up to the High Lord who himself had risen his fist. Each thumb poked outward and each fist was turned downward, thumbs jutting to the ground. Guilty, Guilty, Guilty, Guilty, Guilty, Guilty. The High Lord was the last, this thumb pointing downward. Guilty. "Ealora Malory...this court has found you guilty of all charges, save the murder of the child Issa Westenra..three days hence your execution will take place. For tonight you remain in jail, in the morning, you will be chained in the town square and will remain there until your execution." Cheers went about the room, uproars of shouts of joy and mixed conversation. Ealora had been forgotten but guards were all ready tugging her, pulling her towards the door, her eye was trained upon the High Lord, unblinking until she was dragged completely out of sight.

Lead back to her cell, all she had to do was wait. Wait for the night, wait for the dawn and the three day period until she was to be executed. A cot had been brought into the singular cell, one last good nights sleep perhaps? She snorted and moved to sit against the cot. The bed itself was sparsely stuffed with straw and poked through the small shift she was given into her skin. Leaning down, she set her hands within her head and just..breathed willing no thoughts to course through her mind. The only thing that had her head lifting was the sound of the door squealing as it was opened. A guard stepped back as the priest, clothed from head to foot in a deep brown hooded robe moved into the room. Ealora brow shot upward, unable to see the priests face or why he was here. A chair was set inside the room before the door swung closed and the guard moved off..she wouldn't kill a priest, right? "I've come to hear your confessions child.."The priest spoke as he moved to stand beside the chair. "Why father..you've no doubt heard the details of the court and my guilt.." Ealora answered as she settled her head into her hands again. "Because child...confessing allows you to enter the gates of heaven when you die. Dissolved of your sins..and a very wise girl once told me..to love is divine..to have the courage to face the wrongs in your life..whether they are your guilt or not.." As he spoke, the priests hands moved upward to pull the hood of his robes downward. Ealora head rose as he spoke of the wise girls words. She had..celadon eyes took in the sight of the man as his hood was pulled down. Long black hair cascaded down past his shoulders, a full beard covering most of his chin and nearly taking in large lips that protruded from the dark beard. She sucked in a breath before flying at the man, her arms wrapping around his shoulders as she buried her face into the mans neck. "Eli, oh Eli!" She breathed into her brothers neck as the tears began to pour down her cheeks. Eli would of laughed, but this was not a situation he wanted to laugh at. He had not seen his sister in years and now reunited only to see her die? It broke his heart and he squeezed her up into his arms, afraid to let her go. Awkwardly, he moved them both to the cot and set her down upon it, still hugging her as his body settled in next to her own. "What are you doing here..you shouldn't be here.."Ealora broke the silence as she pulled back, rubbing the tears from her cheeks. "The posters were put out all over Ealora..after I saw one posted in Alexandria, I packed father and I up..came out here, figured it would be the first place information came in. We've been here since then..I've been hoping to talk Caleb out of it..but he didn't show up till they brought you. I'm so sorry Ealora.." Ealora let out a sigh as her eyelids fell closed and she clasped Eli hands within her own. "It was bound to happen Eli..I didn't expect it to be so soon though and always figured I'd have my husband there to beat off anyone who tried to bring me in.." "Yes, I heard about your marriage..I know about a lot of things..Sam has been sending letters ever since your pregnancy..I was glad to hear of Issa birth, proud you named him after mother..I am also sorry for his lose but glad to hear of your marriage. But the letters stopped after then..Ealora, where is your husband? How did this happen?" Eli hands massaged her own. They were freezing. "Sam...wrote to you?" The disbelief plain in her voice but she found herself actually smiling with the news then the smile disappeared all together. "Thank you..He is..back in Skye..please Eli, I can not tell you what happened, the pain for me is still to new.." Her heart pulled, her face paled even more as she felt her stomach rolling. Eli hands gripped harder on her own as she paled. "Ealora, are you all right? Have you eaten? Slept at all except for the other night?" Ealora's fingers curled into Eli as her head fell to lay against his shoulder as the wave of nausea passed to be replaced by her head, the room spinning. "Eli..I'm fine...It doesn't matter.." "It matters..lie down" Eli shifted as he spoke, pushing her down onto the cot of straw. Kneeling beside the bed, he smoothed the russet curls away from her face. "I forgot how much you look like mother..you have the shape of her eyes...little Egyptian princess" "Hey..I always protected you when we were smaller..smothered you with affection, when did it change?" Ealora teased all most without meaning it though she did keep a smile for a second before it slid away. "Since I realized I was the older brother..and that my baby sister is hurting.."His hand continued to stroke through russet curls. "Eli...pray with me.."Ealora whispered as her lids continued to slid up and down over her eyes. Together, one soft feminine voice, the other a soft masculine rose in a whisper, a strange language no doubt heard by the guards was the familiar Egyptian to them, learned since birth. Ealora voice slowly dozed off as her fight with going to sleep was lost. Dawn would come to early, the humiliation would begin with being displayed in the center of town between two posts of wood. Chained like an animal while people called her names and threw things at her. Three days of it...three days and then hell would be waiting..

Ealora: Having seen her brother, Eli, Ealora's heart had in some way been pieced back together, though still broken. It had felt, wonderful to see him. Though parents never picked favorites. Ealora had always gotten along with Eli more then Caleb. She was younger then him, smaller most of the time and still she had always protected him. The night before, he had protected her, without knowing it he had saved her from pushing over the edge just by showing up, unjudging, unyielding and undying love for his sibling. It had given her strength to stand there in the square, chained arms and legs two solid wooden posts with only enough room to kneel but have her arms stretched in the process. Winter was striking the world over, reminding people that while it blanketed the dead earth, all things changed and were again reborn. Like the mythical phoenix, bursting into flames, reduced to asses and being reborn to its asses. Celadon eyes stared without seeing the full day within the suns rays, the only comfort was the winter season made the suns rays less harsh, less able to heat and burn her skin. Hours of people passing by, calling names usually not uttered by good people. Pebbles were tossed at her, fruits and vegetables, anything the people found handy. As night fell, someone had thrown water on her and with the autumn winds rushing the island, the woman stood shuddering, unwilling to yield to a kneel just yet, staring and unmoving. Unwilling to let them see her give in.
Paradise Point Woman:Down the path a woman walked her hips in full sway. "I hear you have a pretty little ring on.." She came to stand just behind the woman who was held like an animal, and rightfully so. "Will you give it up willingly? Or shall I take it from your dead hands when they kill you?" Her long hair fell down her back as she moved to face the Pirate. "Though..it does not have much luster..what kind of man gives a woman such an..ugly token?" Her eyes went to the woman's hand at the silver and gold that wrapped it. No doubt having plans to melt it down and make something a little less..tribal.
Ealora: Celadon eyes slid to the woman as she rounded into her line of sight. Her eyes still lit with a particular wild fire. Her jaw clenched and unclenched as her hands fists within the irons at the mention of her ring. "You lay one hand on my ring..I'll murder you myself and give them another reason to want me dead.." Honeyed voice flowed like a hollow wind, devoid of emotion except anger...and yes pain. "Its origins are of no consequence to you...save that it is mine and I will die for it." Her husband had betrayed her and still she loved them. Others might not understand it, she seemed to weak from the betrayal..from the loss of him but then again no one understood the depths to which the pirate queen was tied to her husband. Yes she still loved him, would love him and no other despite what had happened. Even if it was murdering her inside. The chains rattled as she moved, intent on striking the woman yet the chains strained and pulled her back, reminding her, her limbs were not free."Get away from me" She growled down at the woman.
Paradise Point Woman: "I can take it the easy way, or the hard way. Which would it be wench? Should you like to keep your finger? Perhaps if you survive this, he'll put another one on that ugly hand of yours." The woman reach out to take hold the chain that held her hand, and rose a dagger that was kept in her bodice. "I am surprised they did not take this when they stripped you before." Her eyes caught sight of the other bit Ealora wore and grew big. "And what is this?" Reaching out she took hold the string that held the glass and gave it a quick pull. With a snap the leather band broke and the woman held the pendant closer to her eyes for a better look. "Nothing but a scrap of glass...? Is that it?" With snort she tossed the necklace into the sand before her, just waiting for the next person to step on. "Now hold still, and I'll just take the one finger."
Ealora: A low growl emitted from Ealora throat as the woman's hand closed on the red glass necklace about her neck. She had been surprised they left her with her wedding band and necklace too but hey, if they were not going to take it. She wasn't going to offer it. Not like she would of given them up easily enough either. "You have one last chance...to get away from me.."she growled at the woman again as the leather snapped. Perhaps the girl was to intent on inspecting the necklace to notice celadon eyes blazing anew with fire. The chains thrashed and wiggled, crying out in distress as the woman within them began to fight with every will of her body to break from the bounds and get at the woman. Yes she had lost it, she was even snapping her teeth at the woman at any part of her, just one bit into soft flesh and she wouldn't let go, if she could get a hold of it that is.
Paradise Point Woman: The woman laughed, and started in for her hand only to find the cold feel of another against her shoulder.
Jean-Claude:"S'il vous plaît, mademoiselle..It is cruel." Navy eyes of the blackest sky came alive against her own, and shame crossed the face of the woman as she moved away letting the dagger fall. "As you said before, it is nothing of value to you..but of everything to another." The woman's lips flattened against her face as she moved away. How was it she was so easy to take leave, when so determined before. The night air was warm, for this time of year in such a place it was the normal, but still Jean-Claude dressed the part of a perfectly tailored gentleman. Yet down were his long strands of jet black hair, and undone his tunic exposing the pale flesh beneath the lace. With one hand still tucked behind his back he released the woman as she walked away and stood before the animal before him. The danger that filled her was enough to turn cold the blood of thousands, but still he was unafraid. Bending with full grace and fluid motion he took hold the necklace between pale slender fingers. "Come now, ma petite, do not fight me." His hands would slowly move around her neck and retie the necklace. "It means the world to you does it not? More so then the ring?" Talk to me angel, let me help you forget this nightmare.
Ealora:Her struggles stopped as JC appeared though the fire had yet to die within her eyes as she watched the exchange. A slender brow rose upward making her look more like she was about to kill someone then curious of why the woman was giving up so easily. Her head dipped as he kneeled to retrieve the necklace from the ground, eyes following his every move. Her head dipped again as he wove his hands about her neck to retie the necklace and finally the woman sank to her knees and sobbed? She had gotten a full nights sleep with Eli present but a full day in the sun, a night with no promise to sleep, perhaps it was finally getting to her? Perhaps it was the necklace, it was a memory untouched, their secret place. Where first they uttered their vows of undying love and commitment to gods ears, for gods ears only. Finally the sobs quieted, her body releasing from its tension of emotion. "It does..." Her head lifted, her neck straining as she pulled at the chains with her arms to get to her face, wipe away the traces of weakness from sodden cheeks. "They are equal in their worth to me..The necklace is the last surviving piece of the place where we uttered our vows to God...and my wedding ring a testament that we showed others our devotion, though the first was enough for me.."Why was she telling him this? Why was it so easy to say it to him where with Eli she had clammed up. "I would of..married him a million times over had it been necessary..it doesn't matter now..he betrayed me.."Even as she spoke the latter her heart clutched in pain, even it unwilling to believe what her eyes had seen. Eyelids slid over her eyes as she felt a wave of nausea rising with the pain tugging at her heart.
Jean-Claude: "Mmmm, is that so?" This man knew everything about the way emotions rushed, and bodies gave in. It was an art, the form of seduction; how he found his prey. Yet here he was reaching out slender hands to cup the body before him out of pity and kindness..not to trap her against his web. Long fingers brushed through her hair soothing away the mess, and clearing her face of tears. "Are you so sure of what you saw, chat d'enfer That you saw a man betraying you, or betraying himself? What if this is all just a misunderstanding?" His voice was like a sweet gentle lullaby as it left his thin lips, soothing and calm. "What if he stormed these beaches to come for you? Would you still be so angry? Would this not prove his love? Such a romantic story, child.." Tucking the rich strands of brown behind her ear he lifted her chin. "Would you see it end in tragedy?"
Ealora: "I know what I saw..I.."She stopped and turned her face upward as his hands brushed away the tears left on her cheeks. She strained to stand again from her kneel, the chains wiggled in her wrists as they had bitten into her skin. "I don't understand what you're saying..how could it be a misunderstanding?" She swayed within the chains, so tired...so very tired. To err is human, to love is divine..she had told Eli that years ago, when they were teenagers..when the woman he had loved had been discovered in bed with another..how very odd to be within the same situation now, just as Eli had been broken. She was broken. The memory fluttered through like a breath of wind against the face, cooling and then gone as her eyes fluttered open again. What had he been saying? Oh yes.."I do not doubt his love for me..but would it be love or guilt that would have him storming the beaches? Can you answer me that.." She was angry still, angry and hurt but still loved him. It tore her at the seams, the same way the rumors of Maahes and Shaden had torn at her, because she could not fathom loosing him..to war..to sickness..to old age..to another. None of it. He was her soul. She had said it many times. But the things she had seen, the things he had whispered. She felt weak again, her head spinning, her stomach turning and fingers grasped at the chains to keep herself upright and unsick, as if it were that easy.
Jean-Claude: JC did what he could to lift her, take ease away from the pain she felt, and give her the rest she needed. There was such a genuine kind man behind this scary shell, but still evil no less. "Listen to your heart, Ealora. What if it were guilt that caused him to come here, would you not be happy to see him none the less? You are to die within two days, and you will have said nothing.." His lips pressed together, "The truth will come..you will see..rest, my dear close those beautiful eyes.." The cold touch of his hands brushed back onn her forehead and he would be there for as long as he could..until he would have to leave her with the rise of the sun.
Ealora: She gave a small moan of thanks as he eased her weight away from the chains. She could still feel them but the weight of him holding her took the pain away, slightly, listen to her heart? Perry had said the same thing. "I don't want to die.."She whispered against his neck as her head rested against his shoulder, her eyes fluttering closed. Maahes..Please feel me...feel that I love you..feel that I will always love you..her heart sang as the pirate queen finally found sleep again.

High Lord: Jean-Claude left her when the sun fell, reluctant to let her go. Yet with the heat of the day quickly filling the air with the warm musk of the tropical Isle, even he wasn't ready for the blaring sun. Down the streets two men walked their steps with pride as they were sent on a mission to retrieve the Pirate Queen, and they were in no way gentle. Rough hands fell on her smooth skin and yanked harshly at the chains that bound her. "Pretty little pet, shame she will not be sold." One chuckled to himself, "Yeah I got a few traders who would pay top dollar for this." With a chuckle the second man gave a heavy handed slap to her backside and they both burst into a fit of laughter. "Wake up,Princess. Ye' are going to have breakfast with the High Lord."
Ealora: She stirred as Jean Claude released her, giving a small moan of protest till she was aware of just who had held her up all night. The only person she had ever admitted to being sorry was Maahes so it was not so easy to say thank you or sorry for misjudging you as he moved away. Sleep was still not so quick to leave her and she let out a sigh as her eyes fell closed even as the sun began to rise over the hills. She had never been a long sleeper, until Maahes. Until being safe in his arms meant a full nights sleep only to groan and moan when the sun rose and finally to rise. Still half asleep, she could of believed she was any where else but here until the chains were yanked and her eyes flew open...oh yes. A growl left her lips as the hands moved over her skin, yanking the chains but the one thing that brought out the panther within her was the slap to her backside. She bit at the first man available, missing his face by scant inches. "Get..your hands off me.." Just the mention of slavery pulling at the fire rising in her veins. "I can walk on my own...so if you don't want a missing limb, get your hands off me." High Lord: Their laughter stilled as they turned to smirk at one another. "There isn't anything stopping me from taking one of my limbs and making it part of you..wench. Save where ye' are goin, but that don' mean after..So I'd be kind." Yeah they ain't' nothin' to taken' our time tae put ye back." Spoke the other man through blackened teeth. "It seemed someone already cleaned ye' up. Too bad.." Inside the fortress they moved with ease. The parlor was decorated with every kind of riches from across the world. Gold..lace..frill everything; but this was but the web to the spider. "Welcome..welcome, Ealora, please..take a seat." With that he motioned for the boys to chain her to the gold hooks upon the wall. Once done the men quickly moved out, and the frame of the man stood before her--admiring his catch. "How are you feeling?" Was he joking? The cruel curl of his lips spoke his truth. Ealora: "Ever try and I'll rip the damn thing off.."She shot back with her own grin before she was hustled forward, shuffling in the ankle irons away from the square with the two men talking behind her. She had been so out of it, she hadn't realized JC had cleaned her up. Well, the guy did seem...good..in a way but then again he had brought her in to die along with his 'master' it was hard to forgive that. What was going through the woman's mind as she was lead into the fortress and into the parlor, her face was a complete blank slate. There was only two people who could of ever read that look and they were not here. "What's the matter Airk...don't trust me?"She taunted as she was chained to the wall, her head swung to remove russet curls from her eyes to take in the lord of the isle himself. "Oh I'm peachy keen, hope you've been sleeping well." The taunt clear on her voice, yes she was a sea...witch. High Lord: He chuckled deeply, "I am surprised at you, Ealora..I would think by now the fight would have run out? I would think you would beg to be let go." His hand came to brush against her face, and a sneer filled his features. "Or are you waiting for someone to come save you? Hmm?" He let his hand fall and started to pace the floor, "Is it so sick of me to pray someone does? This..husband of yours, I have heard about him from many nations. Think of the glory it would bring me to kill him. I would be the most feared man on this sea." Oh the thought tickled him, "Perhaps I'll spare you until then, hmm? You can stay here, right where you are and be my wife. Would you like that?" Turning then to face her he positioned his feet with his shoulder, and lifted his chin. Ealora: "Glad I could make your day Airk.."She rolled her eyes away from him then back as his hand came to her face and she growled in return. "No actually..you kill me, you make me a legend..think these people are your friends? It's only because they're so tired of their pathetic lives..like you..that they are even here." Her head leaned forward to watch him pace and a grin tugged at the corner of her lips. "Admit it Airk..your so sick of this place..this life that you wish someone would just come along and slit your throat and get it over with. I'll help you there if you like...and if Maahes does come..he will even take care of it for you as well. Think you hold even a candle to him? If what stories you heard are true, you won't even get a breath in from seeing him before your dead." A hollowed laugh passed her lips at his words. "You've lost your mind Airk..I didn't want you once, I don't want you now." Her jaw tightened and though it hurt to say it, because of the flashes of the memory, maahes and shaden intwined but she forced the words out, though she knew in her heart, she meant it. "I love my husband. There is no other." High Lord: He chuckled dryly.."My darling, this is where you have always made mistakes..Love. Love has blinded you, and has put you in so many of the wrong places at the wrong time. "You wouldn't have to love me, but I will break you until you do." He moved closer to her, brushing back her hair from her shoulder. "If I didn't have to kill you.." A deep sigh left his lips, and he would replace the inhale with the sweet scent of her hair. "If you beg I will think of sparing you. Would you like that?" His fingers curled around her russet curls until he held the strands in his palm pulling harshly. Ealora: "Perhaps love is meant to make us blind, so that we don't become the idiots you plainly are." Celadon eyes rose to his face her jaw locking as he brushed her hair away from her shoulder. She inhaled a sharp breath as a wave of nausea swept through her but with it came an idea and as the feeling settled down, her head rose only to have it harshly yanked on, letting out a grunt, her eyes squeezing shut for a moment before falling open again. "I'll make you a deal Airk..you release me from the wall..don't have to take off the chains and I'll fulfill one of your deepest darkest fantasies.."Was she lying, the look on her face said she wasn't. High Lord: "No..I'll not have you pretend I am some savage Moor. I know you well enough to know you can close up. I can do to your body what I want right here, but why should I? It will not break you. Your death is the only way I can break you. You will be in hell watching your loved ones suffer the loss of you..then move on." Moving towards the table he picked up a tray of silver and would return to face her. "This is your last meal alive..eat..rest. When I return we talk more of the matter. You know my offer..think upon it." Ealora: She gave another laugh, finding in some way that his words were funny. "It'd take one hell of an imagination to turn you into my husband, I can fully assure you of that. But..offer going once, going teice. Opps ok gone." She shifted within the chair making the chains linked to the wall rattle and clink as her eyes fell to the ground. Everyone moved on with time didn't they? Did her mother feel hurt by her moving on over her death? "Everyone dies Airk...not every man truly lives..and I have. You think by killing me you break me? You can not. As pathetic as it sounds, love has made me strong enough to bear whatever it was you have planned for me..."Her lips pressed tightly together then. She was not going to try to reason with her. but JC had been right, she was about to die and had said nothing. She picked at the bread upon the tray, shoveling first one piece, chewing, swallowing and repeating with another piece before she pushed the tray back and leaned as comfortably as she could within the chair. How many days had she not eaten and even now she was hardly hungry? Maahes would of had a fit. Trust your heart...how many people had said that to her all ready. slowly her eyelids fluttered closed. She was still tired..still felt like she hadn't slept in a week but she couldn't get Maahes off her mind. She was angry yes, very angry. He had a way of doing that to her. He always had. They had worked past it but still yes, sometimes she got angry still, but love..love did push the anger away and it did so now. She had seen with her own eyes that he had betrayed her, but her heart didn't want to believe it. Wouldn't believe it. It was a whole new insanity for her, but one she amazingly had control over. High Lord: "Then he is the only thing I have to hang over your head? I'll start with you, and you'll watch from hell me taking his life. Do you think he can save you from the burning pits of what you have done? Eat, that food Ealora, think about my offer. He betrayed you, or so I hear. Why not marry me? I'll make you a good life. He will live." Pressing his shoulder into the door frame he took a deep breath. "Or will you still hang on to the hope he will come save you?" Shaking his head he looked at her, with unbelieving eyes. "No one loves you enough to be here so fast. Or they would have already have been here." Ealora: Her eyes remained closed but her face visibly flinched as if he had struck her at mention Maahes betrayal. Past that it seemed as if she were ignoring him. Really the memories were flying through her head as if the death sentence was about to be carried out, the whole story there within a blink of an eye and gone just as quickly. A life filled with blood, with endless bloodshed...for nothing. For the pleasure of it, because she had once shut herself off from feeling because she had learned to become a pirate, learned to love that life. Then there was Maahes Asad Aziem, the bullish figure unwilling to yield but unwilling to leave. Endless nights dreaming of him, endless nights wanting his touch and fighting it. She had hated him because of his hate of pirates, then had hated him because he was making her feel but once inside he would not budge, he never had. Never would. The hatred had melted the night they had fought, physically within the rain and she had realized that for once in her life, she didn't want him to budge, did not want this man out of her life...because she had loved him...because she loved him. The way he breathed her name filled her with a comfort she had never known before, his touch made her burn like she never had before, pulling her into a deep sated need to feel it over and over, never satisfied. When he had gotten sick, she had feared, truly feared because she could not imagine a world without him. She could not imagine her life without him. He had given her a new purpose, to love him, to be loved by him. To build a life with him. That was her strength. He was her heart, her soul. Yet here she was, where was he? Her head turned, eyelids opening once more to take Airk in leaning within the doorway, still talking. Her eyelids fell closed again, willing his words out of her mind. The firey haired vixen came to mind, Shaden, she had never once judged, just as Ealora had never judged her. The two of the same woven cloth yet cut out onto different paths. Sisters of the heart, sisters of the soul. Shaden had seen the love her and Maahes had shared, without Ealora ever uttering words of what his love meant to her to her sister. She was the flame in more ways then one. So mystifying and glorious to behold. A mystery never to be worked out. It was a joy to see people flocking to her, wanting her company, just to sit was enough and yet she had the grace and manners of a well bred lady and just enough sass that she knew how to fight in a battle where no one had to watch her back. Her head turned again, just as her thoughts turned to Pembroke. He had been almost an unwanted friend, she had hated him at first but there was just something about the man that made her want his friendship, He had indeed saved her life once. He would be a good friend to have in battle but here he had joined the English? She couldn't say whether she wanted to kill him or pull him away from the hell he was heading into. No one loves you enough to be here so fast, or they would of been here all ready. That was untrue, Eli was here..her father..was somewhere here. Though Caleb had been her betrayer, he was still here. His rage meant he cared in some way about her, even if it was hate. Her lifestyle had drove her brother to hate her, perhaps for the wrong reasons, perhaps that rage and hate seemed unjustified in other eyes, but when had anyone besides Maahes, Shaden, Pembroke, Eli, Caleb or her father live long enough to tell the tale of her life. Who could tell of her struggle with her older brother Caleb, how he had always in some way been cruel, enough to make their fights long lasting and ending with something bloody or one of them beaten black and blue. Sam and Taylor...could tell of her pirating ways but their loyalty ran deep...until recently. How much had they given up to the darkness, to the High Lord? She had been ignoring him for a long while now. She felt his eyes on her though but her mouth parted, words flowing before her lids slid open again and she was turning her attention to him. "You may be right..but at least I'll answer for my crimes with pride. What about you? You know I couldn't of done some of those things I am accused of...or that those witnesses you dug up twisted the story..so you will be guilty of murder Airk..and I...will be waiting in hell for you when you die.."

Ealora: The night had passed in slow torture. The hours passing like the slow tick of a heartbeat. No one was out in the square that night. Ealora had been removed from the two posts for the last time. Curtains fluttered as men worked in the night to erect the stand on which the pirate would spend the last seconds of her life. An executioner had been hired and was hold up within the Inn. The man had never been so popular. Drinks poured as if the man were Jesus himself. Ealora had been removed to the jail once more. A bath set up within her cell. Guards watching, making sure the woman bathed before she was given a shift to cover up with for the night. Some celebrated the demise of the pirate within the Inn, most returning demons of her past ready for the pirate blood to be spilt. Ready for their own justice to take place. The nobles, having no reason to hate the woman, still seemed inclined to celebrate the execution. Perhaps Ealora had been right in telling the High Lord that their pathetic lives meant so little they had to kill someone to receive their entertainment. Night crept, shadowing the island in darkness, looming as the mornings proceedings were anything but a familiar day. Night loomed like death and yet dawn came to early. Ealora had been awoken, with more tenderness that she had received them coming to Paradise Point. This time, her shift was instructed to be removed replaced by a white gown which kissed at her ankles. A lady attended her hair, running a brush through it, arranging it just so. They intended to let her die beautiful..clothed in white she could of very well looked like an angel. Light was filtering across the island, this time hunting out the dark corners that still clung to the sides of the island. A perfect early winter day. The square was rapidly filling with people. Even mothers with children stood, waiting for the execution to begin, ready for justice to be dealt. For such a small island, by the time the sun rose to hit the dias erected within the center of the square, there was all ready no place in which to stand. Shoulder to shoulder the people were ready. The last person to arrive, was the High Lord Airk himself. This time no irons were used to lead the pirate from the cells. She was to die today, whether if she ran or if she met her death willingly. Most gasped seeing the once nude and then scantly clad woman being lead down the path from the jail to the square within the white gown. The olive color of her skin set ablaze with the clarity of the gown. Shoulders pressed together, bodies cluttered to one another as a path was created to allow the guards to lead her up to the dias an the waiting table. "Ealora Malory..you've been tried and found guilty by the court of Paradise Point. Do you have any confessions to make before your sentence is carried out?"The High Lords voice rose over the sea of people to be heard. Celadon eyes swept the crowd. Somewhere in there, she caught sight of Eli. His face stricken with grief as if she had all ready been struck down. Kael, grinning like he had won the greatest treasure of all. Her eyes met the High Lords, behind him she could see the guillotine erected, Sam and Taylor all ready standing, ropes about their necks, they faces stock and white, no one was watching them but Ealora saw Taylor hand reach for Sam's and her heart ached. The silence pressed for another moment or two before her voice broke across the sea of people. "I confess...I was once a pirate, bent on bloodlust and tyranny. I will not admit to deeds I can not change, nor would change for each step has lead me in a life well lived, well loved. I confess, I found a way out of that life in the birth of my son, that each day since his birth has been spent in dealing the justice others where others could not. I confess, I fell in love with a man who not only saved my soul, but embraced it, became it. I confess, I embraced a woman not my blood as my blood, as my sister. I confess I embraced an Englishman as a friend as he embraced my friendship as many others then him embraced my friendship as I did theirs and I confess that if I am to die today, I will always remain..Ealora Malory Asad Aziem, Wife to General Maahes Asad Aziem, Sister to Shaden Aramoire, sister to Eli Malory, daughter of Siani and Ian Malory, and mother to Issa Malory Westerna. As well as friend to many. You have taken nothing from me that I do not give freely, so that you may remember that no great warrior woman stood here today to die..but a woman who lived...truly lived. Truly loved."No one spoke, whether stunned the woman had said anything at all or stunned by her words, the wind was the only thing that howled, like a sad song to remind her of where she was to go from here. The guards moved to clasp her arms, leading her over to the table where she was laid down, her hair dangling off the table, no need to cut off her hair when they cut her pretty little neck. Her hands and feet were clasped in Irons attached to the table and still the silence rang through the crowd. Ealora eyes closed, her heart drumming in her ears, a slow steady breath pulled in and then released before her eyes opened. Celadon eyes would stare her executioner down, unafraid anymore of death. Executioner: From the darkness the masked man stood waiting, the black hood pulled high over his long features as the sword of Justice lay within perfectly attended hands; even the grim and dirt from the night before had been cleaned and the surfaces polished. The long black robes that fell over his body covered the face of a ruthless killer, but in fact was not the same man from the night before. Men who look as that, care as little for their body should know better when beautiful women wanted to share his bed. Under the shift in the breeze, the full length of the robe caught to reveal perfectly tailored black hems of a richly colored black silk suit, and perfectly polished boots. Perry: Palm trees were NOT as easy as an oak tree, that he was certain..Yet there was a voice on the back of the wind that pulled him forward, and kept his much smaller frame moving in the direction of the heavens. "Come child.." Slightly pointed ears of an ancient heritage felt the cool air and with that he smiled. The top of the palm was crowned, and with perfect balance the pirate shifted to crouch. A timeless weapon crossed his chest, the strings of the bow strung tight, but when the feather tip of the arrow kissed the draw--there was a power there like none other. It was the power of the past, the proof that no matter how many years passed there was one thing that would be second nature to him. He chuckled to himself as the aim was taken, and he waited as ever the boy that refused to grow up pretended to take out at least half of the people he owed money to. Cowboys and Indians..1300 style. Pembroke:The crowd seemed alive pulsing with need for blood, redemption, revenge.. all seemed to come together as she spoke.. but would she see him in the crowd.. the dark haired englishman with the crystaline sea blue eyes.. his eyes tried to capture her gaze.. letting her know she was not alone... but he didn't know if he suceeded.. steadily the wolves infiltrated the square.. soon the lion would arrive.. and pray he did not.. blow it all with his girlish like lack of control over his emotions.. yes Pembroke knew the man was insane with need for his wife.. heard the sobs in the night when Maahes SLept.. he pitied and envied him all at once.. he rememebered how it felt to loose Anna.. and his Children.. it had been years before he could even smile again... he prayed that would not be Maahes Fate.. silently beeseaching heaven.. before he gave the signal... They would save her. Malice:Pembroke was not the only face in the crowd that sought out Ealora's eyes.. it was the dark blue grey orbs of Kael woman that locked gazes with her right before her head was lowered onto the chopping block.. a look of pure Malice.. satisfaction.. triumph played across lush ruby lips and pale features.. thought she did not stand near Kael.. but closer.. in the front row.. she wanted to feel the bytches' blood splatter on her face.. warm.. crimson.. life... death.... she wanted to smell the metallic scent.. see the fine mist.. as the last beats of the heart pumped and throbbed the life blood from her twitching body... Perhaps Ealora would wonder at the Femme's hatred so plain for her.. glaring rage... wonder what she had done to deserve such.. for as far as Ealora knew... she had never... damaged this pale doll. Kael:He was not far from Eli but his brothers pathetic hope for their sister was more then irritating. Long into the night Eli had begged for Kael to stop it, to stop the execution some how. Stop what he had started. The only thing that kept Kael from murdering both his brother and father along with his sister was the fact that his brothers wiles had amused him. To let Eli live with taking care of a febble minded idiot like their father was Eli punishment for not being stronger, unable to break away. He could make out Malice pale frame within the front row and hummed in amusement as well. The woman was morbid but he didn't mind that one bit. Arms crossed over his chest slowly unraveled as he called out into the crowd. "Death! Death Death Death!" Slowly the chant was taken up, drumming even as the drummer boy, hired to rap out of the last beats of her heart began to drum the tune for the executioner.
Ealora: The seconds were ticking by like hours, her chest rising and falling in even tones even as the crowd began to chant for her execution. The drum started sounding as if it were drumming out the beat of her heart in time. Her fingers curling into her palm, moving to feel the steel of her band between the others. "See Ealora, your husband...your friends so called, didn't come..you are NOT well loved."The High lord hissed at her head before moving around the backside of the executioner. Ealora eyes briefly met his before turning again towards the executioner. Her jaw clenching as the Lord gave a nod of head to the executioner. Whenever he was ready, the people were chanting, the beat set. The island was ready for death. Although she was not afraid of death, she did not want to die, what person did. Her body shuddered, as if she could all ready feel the bite of the blade. "Don't miss.."Words lost to the chanting crowd were uttered up to the executioner. Perry:"Never do." Peregrin whispered from his treetop reading the lips of the pirate, and when the sword was lifted his bow string gave a cry, and released. Like a bolt of lightning the shot was fired tearing through the space and piercing the underside of the executioners arm. Fingers curled around the bone and soon laced another against the string only to fire it upon the crowd. "It's raining men," One after another fired upon men waiting just for such an occasion to control the crowd if a fight broke out. "Hallelujah, it's raining men." He whispered in song as the bodies of the snipers fell away. "Tall..dark..strong..and.." He opened his eyes watching the executioner. "Jean-Claude?" FRAGGLE ROCK! Peregrin's eyes sucked in the light as they widened and he took off towards the stage. f**k f**k f**k f**k.. He kept cursing himself, what was that fool doing. He knew those shoes..no executioner wore fine italian leather to kill someone. Maahes: "NOOOOOOOO." Barreling through the crowd he watched the sword raise, and bodies were pressed aside as if trees in the way of a plow. "Ealora!" He cried above the crowd in hopes she would hear and fight. Luck had turned on his side it seemed, but as the guards quickly armed could he get to her in time? High Lord: The High Lord shot from his seat, the rush of the battle brushing up his spine and the chains of the woman were quickly captured, "DO NOT LET THEM PASS. You are coming with me." He yanked like a leash as the guards released her bindings from the post and slipped off down the alley into the same parlor from before. Was he surprised? No, he had hoped they would come. Such a man in power became sick with the idea of the kill, but now it gave him the chance to take her as his own without the rest of the island judging him or seeing him weak for not being able to kill her. Malice:Dark blue eyes turned to the source of the arrows with a dark growl.. her gaze turning back to Kael as if to say.. do you see that.. before she was on the move.. toward Perrigrin.. she was going to kill that fool... a dagger appeared in her tiny hand as she marched toward the traitor... the intensity of a valkayrie.. a demon from hell sent to deliver him back . She threaded thru the crowd like a serpent until she reached him striking like a coiled adder the blade drawing low then upward.
Pembroke: As the commotion began.. predictiable the bellowing of the bull could be heard.. but it was the wolves that sprang into action. diverting the gaurds.. into sword play as Pembroke bulldozed a path calling for Maahes.. to follow.. his eyes never leaving the stricken face of the Pirate Queen... " Here she's here " he yelled to Maahes... as he took off down the alleyway in pursuit. Ealora: "Maahes?!" Her voice not only an air of shock but relief. Her head turned left and right as she growled, pulling at her bindings, kicking out at the guards as they hailed her up off the table. The people of the island were in a panic, bodies fighting against each other to get away. Mothers called for children who they had lost sight off in the fray. She caught sight of Maahes, the paleness of her face seemed to melt away with one look at him before she was grabbed by the High Lord himself. She chanced a look to the executioner, the man had been hired he didn't deserve to die. She could not get a good look at him as she was yanked along with the Lord who was throwing people out of the way to head towards the alleyway. "Maahes!" She screamed into the crowd before disappearing into the alley struggling against the lords grip.
Kael: The man let out a growl, of course he had f**king saw that! The sword was removed from his side. Instead of joining in the fight of those trying to rescue his sister. He went in pursuit of the Lord. That idiot had become power hungry and stupid, he was ruining his plans as much as those pathetic fools in pursuit of rescuing the pirate queen. Perry: Jean-Claude's body lay motionless on the platform as the world rolled around him. His face still covered by the hood, and his hair covering what was exposed. Peregrin was but a foot from his hands out reached when he was struck, and instantly rolled to his back to flip her. A foot placed heavily on her ribs to kick her back, and his own blood from the blow falling against the sand. Quickly he knew he had little time to get JC before the hell cat was back up, and the man's body would be scooped up only to be thrown under the stands..safe. Turning a grin back to Malice, black eyes would catch hers, "Do you dance, beau diable.?" High Lord: "Let him follow me here, I'll kill him. He'll die at your feet." The chains were quick to go up around the hold forcing her hands above her neck and her feet to dangle..much like before. Instantly the man started to arm himself, weapons of all sorts, but it was one he saved for very special occasions. Guns had just been introduced in the era, and small handheld canon's were the size of a man's arm, but produced only one shot. Quickly the fuse was lit, and he would take aim. If Ealora had been over the South East she would know such a weapon, and know whoever came through that door would soon find his life stolen. Maahes: Outside the patrols took to the streets quickly fight back the Wolves, knew they would soon make way for their ship so the parameter would be rounded before the docks to wait. Malice:She landed with a thud onto the sand, and was rolled under the thrashing feet of what seemed to be a full fledged rebellion, she gained her feet in time to see him tossing his partner in crime beneath the scaffolds.. there were rumors the two were lovers.. she could see that.. the effiminate why JC dressed.. the way he was submissive to peter pan.. it could be so.. pansies! She growled low as she brushed off the dark navy of her skirts.. and stood... " indeed I dance but you will not live long enought to enjoy even an minute waltze " she hissed as she lunged at him " You betrayed him.. and for that you will die " Pembroke: Pembroke was the first to reach the alleyway and then the door.. Maahes behind him though typical English he barged right in.. "Mallory !" he bellowed her name as the door flew open splintering into a thousand pieces.. Kael:This whole island had gone insane. Why hadn't they just taken her apart when they had the chance. In blind rage, he hacked at the very guards who were storming the square to get the rebellion back under control. Assuming with sword in hand that he was one of them, it was easy for them to mistake him. Stupid fools. The bodies fell and he kept on moving, down the alleyway after the englishman, after the moor to get to the one person he wanted to see suffer most of all, but first that idiot lord.
Ealora: She kicked and wiggled as she was set upon the hooks on the wall. "You son of a..." Yanking on the irons as best she could, feeling them cut against her wrists. She drew in a breath as the gun was produced, the fuse lit. Celadon eyes went to the door before going back to the lord and back again. Not Maahes, no. The door flew open and she shut her eyes, not against the sight but the door itself splintering with the force of the hit. Gritting her teeth, her fingers wove into the chains as she pulled her weight upward and kicked the Lord in his back with all of her might hoping that would knock him off balance, that he wouldn't get the shot in. High Lord: The shot was fired, but his aim was missed grazing the English Captain over the right shoulder. Blood splattered, but the shot was not followed by the thud of a body..? Gun powder, the dust from the doors, covered his sight, but the light of the day filtered around the outline of the Beast. Maahes:"You missed." At least who mattered. Maahes voice boomed into the room, as sword was drawn ready in hand it caught the sun's rays flickering against the man's brown flesh. Even though he still hated the man with every fiber in his body, his eyes passed over the English captain, and saw that he would survive. High Lord:"You must be her husband." The Lord hissed moving behind Ealora's body, "I thought I could smell savage between her legs when I took her body." His sword tip came to rest against Ealora's neck. "Put your weapons away, and if you beg I'll spare her." Maahes:Maahes's whole body trembled with the rush of the fight, and the words of the man ignited an age old fire against the amber of his eyes. but he would do as the man said. Slowly his body fell to one knee and the curved blade sat against the floor boards "Let her go..." High Lord:The man chuckled dryly and walked around the body of the pirate keeping behind her kicking legs. "I have heard stories of your strength, Moor. It will be a great pleasure to kill you. What Glory that would bring me!" Maahes: The amber eyes of the General passed to his wife in many ways checking upon her soul to see if it was still inside. He searched her eyes for fear..I'm here..we'll get out of this. Dark eyes returned to the man, "Then challenge me." He breathed the words, "No weapons." Maahes in many ways knew the darkness of the gun powder, but had never been struck. His eyes passed over to Pembroke before returning to the Lord. High Lord: The man chuckled again, with a shake of his head, "I know better then that. You are young, good strong back, I fear I am not what I used to be." Pembroke: " Bloody Hell " the force of the bullet spun him about and into the wall.. for a moment he was stunned the shot going thru his shoulder and lodging in the socket.. his sword dropped with a clatter.. as he slid down the door with a moan that seemed to indicate he was out of the fight.. not a threat.. yet beneath a hooded gaze he watched each move the coward that held Ealora made.. the moment he wa throughly distracted by Maahes, August leapt up in a bone crushing lunge. knocking Ealora free and to the side.. of the Lord whatever stupid island dwellers.. and rolling free.. covering Ealora with his body for protection as it gave the beast a perfect oppurtunity for the kill " Kill him now Maahes " Ealora: She coughed with the blow of gunpowder about the room. Her eyes squinting through the haze at her husbands form. She let out a breath of relief before the smoke had her stomach rolling and she gave a groan as her eyes closed against the nearly overwhelming feeling. When it passed, her eyes opened again to find Pembroke pressed against the wall, where was he hit? She searched his body quickly but not finding him dead was a good thing. Her eyes went to Maahes as her chin tilted up with the press of the sword against her neck. There was pain...there was anger but most of all there was love. He had come for her, that meant something. "You...have seriously lost your mind Airk!" She growled to the man behind her. You came...that's all that matters. Her eyes swept back to Maahes as the two seemed to challenge each other back and forth. She didn't even catch it till Pembroke was throwing his weight against her, knocking the chains from the hook and throwing her to the floor with a loud groan as his body fell over her own. Kael: Unknown to the foursome inside, the darkness, Kael, waited just outside the doorframe, turned just so to watch the exchange outside. He wasn't a fool blinded by power...or love. He was waiting for the perfect opportunity. Besides, if you wanted something done right, do it yourself right? Perry: Peregrin kept the space protected that held JC, and squared his feet with his shoulders to block the space. "You betray yourself if you think he is in love with you. You see he is not here to protect you...where is he?" Motioning over his shoulder to the alley the Darkness had gone. "Going after Ealora instead of here with you. Seems to be real love, Malice." He spoke dryly with a snarl, if she wanted a fight so bring it..but she would not win. No one ever did, it was the curse. Maahes:The High Lord's eyes turned fearful upon the Beast of a man, and as the distance was closed he parted his lips, "No." Spoken with jaw clenched tightly he bore into the Lord burning him with only his eyes. The shirts of the man were gathered in his hands and the body of the man lifted with ease. Against the wall the older man's back would rush knocking the air free from his chest, " I, am NOT a savage! I am a MAN of Skye. A respected General, in her army." He spoke to Pembroke but his eyes dared not leave the man. "You will face trial, prisoner, you'll suffer the same fate in the same order." He whispered in harsh undertones against the man's ear like the devil speaking of the rain and how it fell in fire. With that the man was released only to find himself victim to the same chains that held his wife, and suspended on the hook. He would go no where until they were all ready. Turning then he moved in the direction of Pembroke and quickly removed a sleeve to help with the bleeding. "Let us go. You need help." Not a word would leave his lips for Ealora, but his eyes were a constant sweep of her face..body..eyes. Malice: There were disasters that were beautiful in nature.. things of violence and power destructive forces that could bring awe and shock at the very beauty.. hurricanes.. tornadoes... waterspouts.. thunderstorms.. all things of immense passion and power she held the same aura.. his words of Kael did not sway her.. she was a perfect storm... bent on his destruction a single minded enity death " If I believed is such hollow things as love you words might buy your life.. " she laughed a manical chilling sound.. insanity.. apperanty in the all to sharp and glistening look in her eyes.. bloodlust he could recognized... one animal to another... again she attacked.. well placed and quick.. to his opposite arm driving in and upward... " You shot your own mate... that frilly frenchman... I wonder if he will bleed out before I kill you " she taunted.. dancing away with annoying skill... he would have to admit.. she was crazy but she was good. Pembroke: He rolled away from the Pirate Queen as he saw Maahes take control of the High Lord.. grimacing as the shirt sleeve was ripped and tightened about his upper arm.. " Dammit" he growled.. his eyes turning to Ealora " Are you alright " if Maahes wouldn't' ask he dam sure would " Are you Injured .. can you walk ?" his good hand offered her help up.. before snarling at Maahes " I'm good... a scratch.. we should get back to the wolf and get out of here " Ealora: Her eyes rolled skyward then down again as he rolled off of her. Well, this would of seemed like a compromising situation if it were any other place or time. The white dress stained with blood where it had seeped from his wound but she did not seem hurt except for the scratches on her wrist were the chains had dug in. "I'm all right..I can walk..you're hurt.."She took his offered hand if only to sit up before she was crawling to her feet. Lords did her body hurt from one particular position for three days. Her eyes swept from Pembroke to Maahes holding, staring for a long minute, her heart ached with the sight of him. Relieved yes that he had come but pained also but the memories of him and Shaden in bed together. Celadon eyes turned away again to Pembroke and then away. The thought struck her and she gasped. "Sam and Taylor..they were strung up in the square...where are they?" Celadon eyes swept the room before brushing past the two men to go check on her two crewmates.
Kael: Ha! The High Lord prisoner. Greed had lead him to a power trip and had now lead him to be prisoner to the moor. The great circle of life! He made no move to help the Lord, he had after all, always been a pawn in his game. Pressed against the doorway he waited, heard the exchange of words and then the body passing by the doorway, a flash of white and he leapt. His hand closed over Ealora mouth to keep her from screaming as the bloody sword was pressed against her throat as he jerked her down the end of the alleyway towards the docks. Perry: "Don't do this.." He sucked air in as she struck him and he rolled her atop the platform. "Jean-Claude needs help, he's only ever been good to you.." He pressed his hand against the wound, blood spilling and the blue of his eyes started to change into a solid black. "Get away from me, Malice." Even his voice deepened with the snarl, "If you want to live, go." His lips curled over his teeth, flashing death within his pearly whites. "Run little girl." Maahes:Pembroke's body was stilled from following, and dark amber eyes burned into the Englishman's, "You've done enough." He growled pressing to follow his wife out the door, and forgetting all about the High Lord. What the F*ck was it these men in Ealora's life?! His heart caught in his chest as he followed down the path and instantly grabbed the man by the hair of his head. Screw Justice, he was beyond Justice right now! This one was going to die! Instantly the man was thrown into the crowd, "Get your hands OFF my wife! ALL OF YOU!!!" Maahes had flipped..pure and simple. F-L-I-P-P-E-D he gone crazy. Pembroke:"Done enough? You Jackass " he followed.. the brute and his wife out the door " You forget you need a ship to get back to .... " his words faltered as he saw yet and unknown man now gripping Mallory.. he too was wondering WTF is with all these men trying to kill her.. it was sorta mind boggling the trouble the wench could get into.. hell she would need an army if she ever wanted to be safe.. seemed like half the male population of the world wanted her dead. Malice:"little girl " her voice rolled mocking Jean Claudes accent perfectly " I'm ensuring my immortality.. I will remain in your memory forever... as the one who kept you from saving him " she laughed again.. rolling to the side.. then up onto her feet.. a throwing dagger taken from beneath the skirst sent sailing at his heart... " At least you will not die alone " Kael:"What is it with these people huh Ealora, simply trying to deny justice when you're going to do to them what you did to me...what you've done to everyone in your life. Its your nature, you can't help it." He hissed at her ear as he moved her struggling body towards the square. His hair grabbed, he gave a growl as the sword nicked a spot on her neck as it left her skin as he was thrown away from her into the crowd. The sword fell as he rolled, head over feet till he came to his stomach upon the ground. Was he dead? He just lay there for a moment before finally his body pressed upward, away from the ground. "You stupid moor!" He growled at the man through the crowd. "She's going to do to you what she did to me...what she did to Brad, kill everything you love till there is nothing left..but your insanity. You really want to protect that?"
Ealora:She gave a mumbled answer behind his hand as she tried planting her feet into the ground only to be pushed onward. The cry left her lips as his hand did, the sword end biting into her neck, not deep but enough to draw blood with the booming voice of her husband. Whirling around, she caught Maahes arm to still him from going after Caleb. He might of been a ruthless blood lusting killer, but he was blood and Maahes had lost it, there was no telling what he would do. "Maahes, don't!" Perry: The world around them grew cold, dark and the ice of the breeze swept against Malice's back. There was no escape the fear that kept the warmth of the sun away, save for the outstretched hand. His palm held the warmth of the burning lands, like a million days in the desert. That very hand caught the knife, the blade sizzling as it fell away, and the wind only pressed harder. "Come here, puppet." More of a song, that left by ways of words then that of a plea. With the illusion of the fading sun clearing her sight, the rays of light lit his mop of curls as if he fell from heaven. The scent of roses, deep and rich lofted from his warm skin that felt as silk as his hand touched lightly the side of her face. Like a warm hot bath the air engulfed her just as his arms wrapped her hips and lovingly he started to sway. "Dance with me, mon cher..Let us put away this hate, hmm?" The bluest of blue caught hers with the up sincerity and charm that fooled so many before. Maahes:"Why?! Do you love him too?!" He shot back to Ealora all the kings horses and all the kings men put up against that wrath again. "Look at you Ealora. You are bleeding..because of that fool!" He kept an eye on the man, but most of all Ealora. "HE brought you here. He took you from me. Is this the same man from before?!" Was he really going to fight her here and now..wouldn't be Maahes now would it, if he didn't. "I spare him only for him to come back..this is never going to end is it?!" He growled between clenched teeth envisioning himself removing the man's head, and when the words clicked in the back of his mind he pulled away from Ealora to quickly close the space. Like a fire he sucked up all the air around the man, "Yes." He boomed. "Til death do us part..." He breathed, his hand coming to claim the man's neck and lift him from the ground. "For better or for worse.." He squeezed tightly his fingers until the man's face turned the color of the sky. However, as the ages passed, Maahes had grown to learn of justice as it was what separated him from these men, but if Ealora wanted this man saved..she better speak up. Malice:Laughter sprang from her lips.. at his words.. " Does that usually work.. " she drawled.. hands resting on her hips... " You... mistake me for a common fool.. I'm nothing near common.. " her eyes had widened with shock when he had caught the dagger.. but that only intrigued her.. no fear shown in her eyes as the icy fingers of death tickled her spine.. she embraced it.. and for a moment he would sense the innate pleasure she pulled from it.. before she caught sight of the disturbance behind him.. Kael being lifted strangled.. by that savage.. Perrigrin be dammed.. she charged.. toward the scene.. but still in the direction of Perrigrin... who would likely take it as an attack . her face a cloud of pure rage... she was like the angle of death.. all black silken hair flying like a wraiths banner.. dark blue fabric billowing out about her like a bruise upon the scene.. it was happening as if in slow motion. Ealora: Her jaw clenched and unclenched. He wad going to do this, here and now? While the anger welled inside of her she knew he was right. Caleb..Kael would never give up, it was then she realized Maahes was lifting Kael into the air and choking the life out of him. He had been so ready to kill her, without a second thought. Without regret. The seconds of his life ticking away and she couldn't move. Frozen to the spot. With a growl, she flung herself against Maahes and yanked against his arms. "Maahes stop! stop! He is my brother, stop!"
Kael:Eyes widdened though not in terror, in complete shock really. He was going to stand beside the woman even with everything she had done? The beast advanced, the man backed up and then hands were at his throat, lifting him till his feet dangled and he was gasping for air. Nails clawed at the wrists encompassing his throat. The world was quickly turning fuzzy, turning black. He needed air...he needed to get..His hands dropped away from the wrists, unable to claw them off to grasp the dagger hidden at his backside, as the world darkened, he plunged the dagger forward, anywhere to be released. Perry:"Mmm." Arms circled as he pressed her back against his chest. "Now who isn't going to die alone." Watching the pair across the way he knew her eyes were upon her beloved, but her body had given up it's rights. Passions swirled with the fight to survive, but the will to give in. Her hair was beautiful as it moved around her, this little petite frame so vivacious and thriving..he could hear her heart pounding under her chest; and it was the sweetest sound. His hands trailed the length of her torso as his lips found the exposed flesh of her neck and kissed along the line of the pulsing vein underneath. It was a tease, as he was in fact a child at heart and don't all children play with their food. It has been years since he let the hunt get to him, surviving on small animals to heal wounds. Yet the pure rage that ran her veins was like a drug that now not even he could get away from. Yet, just his lips finished their trail--counting the invisible x that marked each spot a cold hand touched his shoulder. Jean-Claude: "Nous ne sommes pas le monstre..rappelez-vous? " Spoke the deeply accented Frenchmen whose fingers were curled around his friend's arm Behind the hood of black and with the shelter of the black robes, Jean-Claude pleaded. "J'ai besoin d'aide, ami...s'il vous plaît". Perry: Peregrin released his hold on Malice, but only as the life was removed from across the yard. Maahes:The dagger would fall short, only nicking away at his chest, but it would be the same as releasing the trigger of a gun. With a press back of Ealora he struck the man with the return of his own dagger, but would then lift the body and snap the man's neck. It was finished..and so was her brother as he slumped at the Beasts's feet. Watching the body start to turn cold, and the blood drain with his finish Maahes lived for this moment. This was what God had wanted for him to do. It seemed he was just simply not meant to love this woman as he should..but darn it he did that too. With that he would say nothing, just simply challenge her gaze keeping her eye locked in his own. This was what he did when words were no longer needed. Malice: "Kael.... " her voice cried out as she struggled against Perrgrins grasp... on both the physical body and her psyche.. she seemed to be drowing in need, her body pulsing with heat.. paralyzed without it's own will.. yet her mind railed against the way her body was held prisoner.. then release... and she was running toward him " Kael" she screamed his name rending the air between them.. then stopped.. as if frozen the snap of his neck. shattering something deep within her soul.... it was like the biblical tale of Lot's wives... looking back over their shoulders and turning to pillars of salt... stunned.. she stared at the beast let him drop like refuse onto the street... her hands balled and clenched into fist at her side.. impotent rage.. boiling over as she just stood there.. trembleing watching her world wither and die... people moved... back and forth.. some still fighting... life going on... her face stoney and silent not a tear... those dark vengeful eyes taking in the scene before her memorizing each face... each target... each death that would come to them... for this deed... a horse drawn wagon separated them.. and then she was gone... as if she never were.... Pembroke: " It's done now.. the longer we stay the harder it will be to get off this dammed Island.. Come on.. " he grasp Ealora by the elbow.. shoving her toward the docks " Maahees Come on... before something else happens.. " he jerked his head.. toward the docks... wanting nothing more than to turn his backside to this godforsaken Island.. a bottle of whiskey and a surgeon , much longer and he was going to pass out.. Ealora: Her heart did a summersault, her stomach did back flips and she in took a sharp breath as the scene happened much faster then she could fathom but she heard the snap. Saw Caleb eyes darken and fade. Staring without seeing as he dropped to the dirt. For a moment she prayed it was a dream, that he would get up. That he would say it was all a joke, this whole thing was a misunderstanding and he was sorry. But it didn't happen and the man that had plotted her death, was not her brother. Her brother had died when she had killed his wife. She heard someone scream his name, the name of a man she didn't know, who hated her. Celadon eyes lifted and stared at Malice across the square. Her mouth open, disbelief plain on her face. The wagon passed and Malice was gone. Her arm rolled, shoving Pembroke arm from her own as he shoved her forward, she stopped beside her brothers body. Kneeling down, she clasped his face between her hands and placed a kiss against the rapidly cooling forehead before her fingers pressed over his lids to close them. She didn't know the man he had become but the body was her brother and as much as she hated it, he had chosen this path. Her lips trembled as she placed another kiss against his forehead before lifting up. The tenderness there and gone and he was just...a man that had tried to kill her. Celadon eyes lifted to meet Pembroke and then Maahes. She held his gaze for a long while. You did what...had to be done. Turning, she moved through the square, her pace as quick as she could make it. She wanted to get off this damned island and ever forget it existed. Sam and Taylor were all ready at the Wolf, waving them on.

Maahes:Cutting through the night, the ship slipped slowly through the glasslike surface of the winter sea. Arctic winds chilled the surface, and made the water seem so smooth. Like a thin sheet of glass that cut like butter. The day had been one like none other, but so it was to be with the Pirate Queen at his side; never a dull moment. The crew and it's captain were exhausted having turned in long before the night came full circle. The sun had lit the surface of the water, but now the thousands of stars would be just the same. Maahes found himself at the mercy of the night's solitude, and the stars reminded him of the winter snow. Though they did not fall, the thousand distant sparkles felt so close all he would do is lift his hand to touch the face of the stars. Below deck he had left his sleeping wife, or perhaps she was pretending but he could not bare the silence between them any longer. It was suffocating, but without the burn of a fire. He felt so closed around her, but his heart was open. What could he say? Sorry I slept with your sister, Ealora hope that me coming to save you makes up for that. It never would, and no matter how hard he tried to press past it he knew this was their end. He felt the cold, but it did not register. He felt the night, but knew not of the darkness, and simply sat upon the deck of the ship his breath coming in heavy thick clouds. This was a time of healing..the suffering was supposed to be over, but still his heart fluttered under his chest as he felt his rib cage closing around it. Many times he felt it hurt, the pain chasing his arm but always started with his heart. Proof he was on the brink of a breakdown. Maahes was a brute, but in many ways he was close shattering. His sanity was key, and how quickly it was slipping away.
Ealora: She had slept like she had not in weeks. There was no pretending to the deep even breaths that fell from her lips through the night, into the next day and well into the night hours again. Ealora. CRACK. The voice, the sound of a breaking neck and she was sitting up in bed with a gasp pulling in a wave of cool air as the nasuea welled up within her stomach again, this time it did not recede and she flew to the chamberpot in the corner of the cabin to empty the contents of her stomach into it. The feeling died as her stomach unloaded and she sat back upon her heels with a sigh before shuffling across the floor to the bag Maahes had brought with her things, thank the gods there was mint leaves within. She liked the taste, what could she say. Two were plucked from the tin before it was tossed back into the bag, one used to rub around her mouth and tossed into the wastebin before the other was placed on her tongue an sucked on to quill any after effects of the stomach bug. Turning upon the floor, she watched the bed for a moment. Taking a few moments to register that Maahes was not there. There had been no tears of joy, no hugging, no touching at all and no words. At all. True she had eaten and then slept like the dead afterwards but the whole time she had eaten, nothing. Just staring. How much more could either of them take before they broke completely? Wiggling up from the floor, she grabbed the captains coat and shrugged it onto her arms as she made her way up onto the deck. The rush of cold air both chilled her to the bone as well as comforted her. The familiar rush of the sea. Lives changed, people died and the sea was still there. It was the only certain thing although unpredictable. Celadon eyes swept the star studded sky, a soft hum of contentment to the familiar sight before eyes were turning down to find the one companion still on deck. Maahes. The coats two sides were pulled tight against the chill as she moved across the deck to his side. "You're...going to freeze to death out here..if you stay here much longer." It was a start, right?
Maahes: Bruiding..sulking..Maahes sheltered his face with the black shadows of his heavy dreads as they were free from their binds. Casing his face the thick tendrils kept the warmth, and the light from his face. Lethal weapons padded against one another as he ran his palms together in a slow thoughtful motion. Making the images disappear his shoulders were forward, but a massive back was straight. The men on the deck had instantly left the Beast to his own. They had watched Skye's General kill every man he came in contact with, the only weapon the brute force of his life's work. Maahes was something from their nightmares they were sure, and here was the proof. His mind was unstable, his force unbreakable, and his love protected. Yet there was one person who could break through all walls that held him in. "You should know by now I don't feel the cold." His voice was deadly, as it rose from him in a low grumble a raspy sound like voice of the mountain of fire. His shoulders shook, but was it from the chill? His nerves had been shot for weeks now, but his body was always the second to go. The muscles in his arms twitched and he would only lean forward to press his hands ontop of his knees to apply enough pressure to still the shake. Quiet for a moment he lived in the silence that was doomed to remain around them. "You hungry?" Just like him huh?
Ealora: She leaned against the railing, the leaf rolled and twisted with her tongue before spit over the railing. She wasn't a lady, she could only ever act it. This was one of the moments the facade fell away. Turning her body against the railing, she watched his face. Watched the twist of muscle in his face through each emotion. "No, you don't...doesn't mean it can't kill you.." Her voice soft and gentle, un attacking but her lids slid closed as she turned her face away from him. Make this stop aching, making this go away..It's making me sick..It's killing me. She was sure this was the problem. Constantly sleeping, never able to get rid of her rolling stomach. Slowly she slid to sit down in front of him, ankles curled under her bottom as her lids released, celadon eyes taking him in again. "No, I'm not hungry, can't keep anything down anyway's." Hands rose and raked through russet waves, pulling them taunt against her head as she sucked in a breath and then released it. Trust your heart huh, her heart was aching beyond control but was it aching for the right reasons? She should of been mad as hell, not letting him come near her or touch her for what he had done but never in her life did she want his touch more. Her heart was aching because of his betrayal, it was aching for him. "Maahes...I.."She stopped. She hated the silence lingering between them. Yet it was so hard to say anything about what had happened. "I love you..."The words left her lips in the softest of whispers. Was this saying she forgave him for what happened? She couldn't really say. But if there could be no other words spoken between them, at least she had said what was important to her.
Maahes:This was killing him too, enough that he felt like the pain would take him while he slept. He had fought it for so long, afraid to close his eyes to only wake with her gone again. There was so much he wanted to say..to tell her over and over again how sorry he was, Yet he could not bring her to pain. He didn't want her thinking about that while she was resting. His night's rest had been plagued with nightmares, sobs, and his mental breakdown. The palm of his hand came to curl as he felt the pain rush his arm again. He tried to form the words, of how sorry he was, that he loved her too, but nothing came out. Standing he felt his spine tremble with the shake of his shot nerves, and he turned away from her to walk to the edge of the ship. Maahes's steps stilled as he turned to face her once again, "What happens now?" Of course he loved her, she knew this, she had to by now, but he had to know this first. "Where do go from here?" Could they pretend that night didn't happen? Could she even sleep in that bed again?
Ealora: Her hands twitched, she raised them an inch then fell short and met her lap again. She wanted to touch him, sooth away the pain he was feeling as well as her own but she couldn't. It still ached. The folds of the coat were brought together again against her chest and the cold wind that blew, unforgiving. She hated the winter. Shivering against the cold wind that not only chilled her, but threatened to take the very heart of her and turn it to ice. "If I knew..what happens now..I could tell you, but I don't.."She turned upon the deck to look at him. "I don't know where we go from here either.."Shifting on the deck, she brought her knees close to her chest and her face fell into her hands as her elbow rested against her knees. For a while she let the silence beat out between them, drumming along with heartbeats that rang out from their chests. "I promised you that I would never fear, I am breaking that promise Maahes, because I fear the loose of you. I could not bear to lose you to battle, but I can not bear this more, loosing you while you are still by me. You are my soul and this...silence between us is drawing us apart, it is tearing the very soul of me. I know what I saw..but my heart does not trust what my eyes plainly saw. I nearly broke us once in doubting you. My heart does not doubt you now, my heart trusts you although others tried to make my mind doubt again.."By others meaning the High Lord and Caleb. They had thought they won when she cried, but they had not. "Perry and JC brought me in but they...came to see me when I was in the cell..well JC came to see me when I was in the square..they both told me to trust my heart..and I do...I trust my heart."
Maahes:"Ealora..I.." He took a deep breath turning to face her his shoulders slumped. "I don't remember what happened. I made a mistake. I drank when I should not. She's pregnant. She was sick. She was burning up." So was he. "I love you. I would never mean to betray you. I do not understand what came over me." He was pleading with her and not even realizing it. "I don't want to lose you.." He clenched his teeth to fight back the tears that formed, Gosh damn it he had cried enough! "I understand now if you do not trust me..I will let you have Red Wall. I'll go back to Avaria if you ask it, but I can't look you in the eye and know what I have done." His hand came to clasp his chest again, as the battle was lost and the emotions came with a rush. "You can forgive me, but I can't forgive myself. I'm not like that. I'm not like them.." Meaning those who called him savage, the pirates, and who ever told the lies of him being a man of many wives.
Ealora: "I know she is pregnant.."Her mouth opened then closed. "You were talking in your sleep when I found you both.."She stopped then uttered the first words in his language, the ones that still lingered."Anta Habibi..you said that." Her fingers caressed at her scalp making russet curls dance and sway as she spoke from between her knees. Unable to look at him as he spoke. "I was to crazed to understand it then, I trust you..you've never slept with her before so you couldn't of slept together that night and known within that very second she was..is pregnant. So I know the child isn't yours. But then, seeing you like that. I lost it." Her head rose and turned to look him in the eye. "I know you would never mean to betray me.."Shifting on the ground, she rose to her feet and moved towards him, seeing the tears swimming within his eyes. Without hesitation this time, she reached out and took his hands into her own and pressed them against her chest. "Maahes, I know you're not like people say. They tried to break me by telling me such things. Why do you think they tried to use you against me? Because my love for you was so strong...is so strong. I don't want Red Wall...that is your home, our home and I don't want it without you. I can not forgive you, because my heart says there is nothing to forgive. You made a mistake. To ire is to be human, to love is divine. If you can not forgive yourself though, if you can not look me in the eye past this..then they will have won."
Maahes: God there it was, her touch. He couldn't live without it, she was what he needed to survive. She was like a drug and without it he was left wanting..Ealora took his hands and quickly he gave in. All the stress and worry..pain..waiting..fights..everything was suddenly gone. His thumbs closed over her hands but broke free to slide his hands around her neck and close his arms around her. "I don't want to live without you." He sobbed as he buried his face into her hair, and just like that the meaning of his words came home. No he didn't want to live without her, knew he couldn't live without her. This dawning battle would have been his last had he not brought her home. He squeezed her tighter as his chest heaved with his cries, "Ealora..I'll do what it takes to make you trust me. I'll never drink again, or look at Shaden." Vixen. Growling under his breath it was not a cry of anger, but he had to release some of this emotion. "I do not remember anything of that night, only waking the next morning and feeling sick that you were not there. Never again." This was his promise. Trailing her back with his hands he realized he was probably taking her breath away. Stopping just as her back curved inward he placed his warm palms against her coat. His head hung as he tried to suck in the weakness, "I'm so sick of crying.." He mumbled under his breath.
Ealora: Her curls curled into him, her body pressed against his own, cheek to cheek and she held him as he sobbed against her neck. His tears broke her heart and she held on tight, for dear life as if those tears would kill them both right there. Her own tears felt like rain against her cheeks, pressing the cold in even more. She sucked in a breath as his arms tightened around her. As quickly as the squeeze stole at her breath, he eased and she let out the breath only to pull one in again. "Maahes..it is not your fault.. and it is not Shaden's. Do not punish her with your distance..I don't want that." Her head lifted from his neck, pressing forehead against forehead as his head dipped and her lids fell closed against sodden cheeks, sniffling as her hands tightened around his body. "Me too..but crying is not weak, it shows me you care, lets me know you feel but I promise you we will find a way to push out the wrong tears. We'll find something that will wipe out the bad, only happy tears. If any at all." Her tears started anew, her fingers curling into her chest. Lord she hadn't cried so much in her whole life then she did the last couple of days. "I can not loose you, I promised to walk beside you, for better or worse. As long as you love me.."Yes this was a turning point for them, they were not to be broken by this but why the heck was she getting so emotional. His hold like a warm blanket, a protective shield to the outside world. They had sought to break her, they had all most succeeded if it hadn't been for Maahes.
Maahes: Not my wife. He knew she was strong, but never knew truly how much. "I love you." His lips fell to kiss the smooth skin of her temple. "You'll follow me into battle, I'll not let you leave my side again." Of course that would but for now she would not even get a moment free from him. They had almost won this time, but what about the next? Would their be another? How many more were after her? The night sky above them suddenly grew darker as the clouds covered the stars, but as the ship drew deeper and close to land snow would start to fall. The little white flakes made Maahes break his lips from his wife's skin and raise his head towards the heavens. With a small laugh at their luck he curled his arm around her shoulder and turned to lead her where it would be warm. Sleeping with the crew wasn't his first choice, but they were guests on the ship of English what did he expect? Pembroke however knew well enough to push two cots together. Did he know they were all cuddles? Though the crew was dead to the world he still did his best to keep quiet and when he spoke he whispered, "You need your rest." He would help her from her coat, then pulled back the covers. "Get in."
Ealora: She gave a small hum of contentment to his lips against her temples. She had missed that. Her fingers curled into his flesh beneath his tunic at his words. I love you too. Her gaze followed his upward. The snowflakes kissing at her eyelashes. "What.."Her mouth opened in awe, had the woman truly never seen snow before. With a laugh one of her arms left his own to reach out and catch the white flakes as they fell. Was this Gods way of sealing the wrongs done to them? She wondered. Her arms tightened around him as he lead her towards the joined cots. She couldn't help the chuckle that left her lips at his words but she did try to keep it low. "So do you, you look like you haven't slept in weeks.."Whispered in return as her shoulders wiggled, helping him to remove the coat from her body. Though she did still from climbing into the cot yet, lifting up onto her toes, her fingers found his chin, pressing gently to get his mouth to open a tad before her lips would find his own before her fingers curled against his cheek and then behind his head. In that kiss she promised everything, to stand beside him, to love him with her all. That this would pass and it would make them stronger. You are my true love, you are my soul. Breaking her lips from his own, her fingers left his cheek to trail against his bottom lip as she whispered softly "I love you." before she was crawling into the cot. Burr it was freezing!
Maahes: The cold wind rushed in, and Maahes knew they were getting closer to Skye. Winter's there were harsh, and if she loved snow now..just wait. Against her lips he purred, returning her kiss with one of his own as the ice around his heart melted. She was going to kiss him like that then crawl into the cot? Ha! Soon his body would follow after her, but without thinking he pressed into the same bedding and BOOM! The sea air had weakened the wood; it would hold one, but not two. Maahes fell into her, and the men around them groaned, "Stupid Scots, keep it down." "This aint' a place for your love makin, highlanders." Maahes chuckled quietly against her neck as he let his body roll to her side. "I thought I was getting thin." Through the canon windows the snow could be seen falling onto the sea and melting away into the salt water. The bed wasn't even close to being able to fit them both, so Maahes gathered his wife and lifted her to be on the one still off the ground. As he pressed back against the bed he reached out for her hand. He wouldn't be able to hold her body, but at least she would know he was there.
Ealora: Well, it remained to be seen whether she would love snow or not. With the way she hated the cold she would likely hate the snow except for the way it fell or blanketed the land. Her arms reached up for him unthinking and when the cot crashed onto the floor with his added weight she burst out laughing before a hand lifted to cover the laughter as the crew around them began to groan and moan. Her face pressed into his chest to keep the laughter quiet for it was not stopping. "or I'm getting fat.."She mumbled against his chest. Her arms curled about him as he rolled her to the side then released as she was placed upon the cot still sitting a ways from the ground. Her fingers curled into his own, stroking at his knuckles as she watched the snow falling from the cannon window as she curled the blanket up to her chin with the other hand. She was completely mystified by the white flakes falling in front of the window, her husbands hand within her own. All seemed right with the world then but how long would it last? The thoughts plagued her, Kael was dead...but the woman who had screamed his name? Wiggling to the edge of the cot, she turned her eyes from the window to the form of her husband on the ground. He had done what had to be done, she didn't blame him for Kael's death, he had chosen his path. Her brother, had died a long time ago. The man who had died before was not her brother. "Sleep now..I'm not going anywhere.." She rose his hand to her lips, brushing a feathery soft kiss against his knuckles before letting her hand move with his to his chest, she could stretch her arm out comfortably. As long as she was touching him in some way, she could sleep comfortably.

Ealora: They had docked into Turas Lan the day before. The sweetest sights and sounds besides that of Maahes calling at her from the chopping block. There was no need to tell him that she had been ready to die. She hadn't wanted to but she had been ready for it. Love had made him come for her but sooner or later, she would have to answer to the crimes she had committed in her past. That was part of her code, justice. No longer a pirate, not having been one for years she still held to the code, she had to, she was a Captain and her crew looked to her for support, for leadership. Speaking of crew, they were upon the docks as the ship pulled in. The familiar russet curls not hard to miss from just across the dock. Hoots and Hollers went up as not only the Captain emerged but that of Sam and Taylor, respectfully at a distance in the presence of others. Smiles went their way. Sam and Taylor given a wave to let them know she wanted them to join the crew but she was not in the mood for a friendly crew get together. Just not yet. Now a day later, her and Maahes were safe in Red Wall. Ealora had Agatha send notice to Shaden that the pair had returned, that Ealora was safe but she just wasn't ready to go there yet. There was nothing to forgive but she didn't want an emotional pregnant woman on her mind right now. She still felt unbelievably tired even though she had slept more then enough to make up for it. Perhaps it was all the excitement, from the fall feast to this. Just another day or two and she would be all right. She was sure of it. Tired and unable to sleep as day melted into night, she moved around the house as if to memorize everything all over again. Everything had been put back to rights yet Ealora was itching to do something..anything. Fingers curled against the cushions of Maahes chair as lids fell closed to pull in the sensation running through her fingers of the leather fabric.
Maahes: Maahes had slept the whole sail home..the ride home..and for close to 12 hours back in his bed. Mmmm under his covers..with his pillow..clean. It was all he could do to muster up the energy to even leave his position on the bed. Yet here he was; moving down the hall way half awake half dead to the world around him. His bare feet slid over the smooth surface of the flooring having worn his slippers to shreds upon walking for days to find his wife. The pale heavy fabric of his loose fitting pants pooled over the exposed tops of his feet allowing his toes to peek out the front. The tunic was of the same material old fabrics from his homelands made into sleepwear to fit his body. Always it seemed he was in search of his wife, be it across the sea or down the hall he moved with half given glances in each room. Almost would he pass up their shared space until the sight of something in his chair stilled him, and half opened eyes were rubbed as he turned to join her. Morning. A deep breath was sucked into his chest to clear the passage with the lingering effects of how deeply he slept. Crossing the floor he simply took her into his arms and stole her seat; of course settling her upon his lap. "Mmmmm." He grumbled against her hair nuzzling his face into her hair. "Bed got cold." Liar, I really just missed you.
Ealora: Her fingers loosened, her head turning upward as the shuffle from the hall caught her eyes and her eyes turned to her half asleep, half dead husband. A grin curled at her lips. Good Evening. Her arms curled about his neck as he overtook his chair but then again, it was his chair. Settled onto his lap, she moved and wiggled till she comfortably resting within his arms her fingers woven through the tick dreads to rest at the back of his neck and she hummed a soft sigh of contentment as his face nuzzled at her hair. "I couldn't sleep anymore...but you've been dead to the world for hours. Are you hungry?" She purred against his ear as she brushed her lips across his cheek.
Maahes: He gave his head a small shake as a grin pressed back his lips. "Aggie forced me to eat, perhaps even in my sleep." His eyes tried to focus on her finding the outline of her face he trailed her chin with his hand. His hand came to clasp hers fingers lacing within his own, "How are you feeling? Still sick?" Kissing the back of her hand he settled it against his chest and let his head fall back against the chair. Ahhhhh, it felt great to be home. "Are you of being home?" He spoke softly but held no deeper meaning, just simply worried she felt shut in.
Ealora:A sot laugh left her lips. Aggie forcefedding him as he forcefed women he thought were to skinny, yeah she could see that. Turning her head, she pulled back a bit, for some reason he was trying to focus on her through blurry eyes, pulling back enough to grin at him. See still here, still Ealora. Her head dropped, forehead to forehead and she let her eyes close so he would not be so blurry to her, besides, trying to focus on him like that was making her dizzy. "A little, some stomach, some dizziness, but its probably from all the excitement, another day or two and I should be fine." She spoke as truthfully as possible when he asked of her illness. His head dropped, her eyes opening to take him in, ah this was better. Dizziness gone and he looked quite the happy camper. Fingers unlaced from the back of his neck and worked down his chest, fingers massaging at his biceps and arms. "I'm glad to be home." Her lips curled into a simple grin. I'm not going anywhere Maahes...promise.
Maahes: Yeap. Still Ealora. How cute. Cupping her face within the palm of his hand he let go her hands to work their way against his body, but only pulled her into a kiss. It wasn't like him to instigate such a passionate reply but darn it he had missed her dearly. Thick full lips caught hers the beard of his chin brushing against her skin, and when there was a pause he let his lips trail against her jaw line to stop just outside her ear. "I just want you happy. What would it take to make you stay?" Deeply afraid now of letting her go she would not return. Though as his thoughts traveled back to the Island the words of the High Lord rang deep inside his heart. His greatest fear alive, and as his hands trailed down her hips he wondered if she thought of him..even if it was just in fear.
Ealora: Her fingers curled against his sides, pulling him into her or perhaps pushing herself tightly against his. Either way, their was no space between her bodies as lips met in a passionate kiss. She moaned against his lips as her arms encircled his sides. She had missed that scruffy beard of his. He needed to shave again but later..Lids fell closed as his lips broke away from hers, blush lips and scruffy beard tickling at the skin og her jaw to her ear and she let out a soft sigh as she sank against his body completely relaxed. Her arms uncurled from his sides, clasping his face between her hands as she pulled back to look him in the eye. "Maahes, you do make me happy. I'm not going anywhere."She paused before lips parted again, this time the words flowing from her lips were of the ancient Egyptian taught by her mother, her mother having taught her and so on from the dawn of time. You are my heart and my soul. While apart, I felt only darkness and cold. A nameless emptiness I don't ever want to feel again. Now here with you again, I feel whole and myself. As she spoke the ancient words, her fingers stroked over his cheek, over his lips an downward still to rest over his heart. "Kael..or rather Caleb, my brother, plotted my demise and I played into his hands by leaving. but my leaving was all my fault. I don't intend to make that mistake again and while the High Lord and Caleb both tried to break me there, I had help keeping my sanity. Keeping the fight. Perry and JC did come to see me. Perhaps in the hope that by filling me with hope they would make up for what they had done. I also saw my brother Eli..he came and then yes, you came, Pembroke came. That meant something...that means something. I'm not going anywhere Maahes, I promise you that."
Maahes: When she started to speak the language of her mother he rest his head against the back of the chair taking in each word with a small smile. He knew none of it, as that language had been dead for a thousand years, but still he did adore to hear of her past. "What was it Perry and this JC did? To want to give you hope?" Maahes knew very little of actually how she got there, or of that night in general but was very eager to learn. "I am sure they were a lot of help." He took a deep breath and pressed away the thoughts for now as she spoke of her brother, "Did you tell him he is welcome here? Your family is my family.." Just so long as they don't try to kill you. "Though I am not sure how to handle a family bigger then just you and I..and your sister. I like being alone."
Ealora: "They told me to trust my heart...and perry said something about drugging you but I don't see how that came into play."She shook her head to shake the thought away as she leaned into his chest, her arms curling about his neck once more. "Actually I saw Eli the night before I was displayed in town. We didn't...really talk of anything except he said Sam has been writing to him for years so he knew of my marriage and was pleased by it. Eli and I always got along. Like two peas in a pod. Caleb and I was a different story. I don't blame him for what he did, he was right. I did create him..I made him the way he was." Her head dipped, brushing nose to nose, the scruff of his chin rubbing against her own chin and she grinned, liking the feeling. A small chuckle passed her lips as her head rose again. "Are you saying then that you don't want 20 kids? Because the idea was kinda growing on me."A slender brow rose as she grinned down at him, am I teasing or being serious it seemed to speak.
Maahes: "20?! Ealora.." He chuckled pressing his form forward and lifting her into his arms as he stood. "I would be happy with one. One that I can hold and no one take away." He swung her to one side lightly, "Like this." He started to move forward stepping lightly into the hall and a few of the children scattered having been listening at the door. "A son. Not a girl. She can come later." As if he had any choice! In the kitchen the sound of the evening meal could be heard and Aggie's voice carried down the hall, "You'll not be making any babies before supper., the both of ye'" She cried out having read their minds, and Maahes chuckled deeply. "She is going to fed me again I am sure of it..She feels I've lost too much." Which he had.
Ealora: a soft laugh floated from her lips as her arms wove about his neck as he lifted her up and stood from his chair. "We will have as many as God decides and only he decides what our first child shall be." A hand wove from his neck to tap him lightly on the nose with her words before she let out another laugh. Her hand joined the other again as Aggie voice carried down the hall from the kitchens, her head leaned against his arm, dropping back to look at the hall as if the woman would be standing right there. Lifting her head again, this time a longer laugh followed as she wiggled her eyebrows in his direction. Mmm making babies before supper, now she hadn't thought of it but Aggie had seemed to have a really good idea. "I think you might be right..but I agree with her though, you've lost weight. Now where is my big strapping husband, you can't be him.."Mockingly, she searched over his shoulders as if looking for the husband she said she lost. The smells of supper coming from the kitchen made her stomach flip and she closed her eyes to make the feeling pass, holding in the breath until it did before she let the breath go, the feeling passing quiet quickly. "What is she cooking anyway's?"
Maahes: For a long moment he stared at her, eyes dark and lost in his thoughts..knowing better then what was before him. "You are not feeling well again.." He spoke after the silence passed and his steps were much slower now as he paced back and forth in the hall. "Do not laugh..I will gain it back, I've been sick." In truth he truly had, but the source was not what he thought. Slowly he moved down the hall into their much cooler bedroom, the heat of the kitchens not filtering in through the walls. The room was dark, musky in scent and almost too cold. Yet still he slipped her into the covers, "Did he do this to you?" Darn it Maahes stop bringing that up. "Did he make you sick?" Knowing the kind of evil that man carried very well could. Pulling the covers up around her he brushed back her hair and came to sit on the edge of the bed. "I am not sure what she cooks, but I will bring it to you. Would you have me find out?" He questioned turning his face from her to try and follow the lines outside the doors.
Ealora: A meek smile was all the answer she could offer him as her arms tightened about his neck as he moved them towards the bedroom. "Oh I've no doubts you will..but you better do so before my husband returns, else I might leave you for him. I like my men thick."She teased halfheartedly. A soft hum of gratitude went with the cooler bedroom. Lids fell closed over eyes as she took in the cooler tempature before rising open again as she was settled beneath the covers. Her arm raised as he brushed her hair back, capturing, palm to palm as fingers curled around his own. "Maahes, he didn't...I know he said he did, but he never touched me. Not like that. I wouldn't allow it. No, when I was on display in town, someone threw cold water on me...Its probably just a cold." Her thumb brushed over his knuckles before pulling them to her lips, kissing the ridges of his knuckles as she let out a sigh. "I was only half clothed the whole time there, and with the winter weather..don't worry, I'll be well soon. Why don't you go see what she is cooking and if it sounds good, you bring dinner to us. We'll eat together in this our sanctuary, hmm?" She didn't want him to worry but neither did she want him to know all the details of her capture and attempted humiliation. She didn't want him to have nightmares about what could not now be changed.
Maahes: For a moment he felt himself inwardly frown that the words 'their sanctuary' as he had shared it with Shaden. Though in reality anytime Shaden ever wanted he'd allow her anywhere she wished. She had become a little Princess in his life, and would share everything he made with her; yet that did not include his body. No, no matter how thin or thick it was Ealora had been the only one. Anulia's words rang so deeply into his head that night he walked trying to find Ealora, about how he did not share his body with just anyone. She was right, it took years before he would even allow himself to be kissed, and now to desire? "I find it hard to believe..the way he looked at you..he wanted you." He knew that look for it was the same one he felt himself give when she pranced around before bed--tease. "I left him hanging in that room.." Maahes shook his head as he stood to search for his slippers and forgetting they are gone. "He'll be back..but I'll be waiting." He grumbled as he moved down the hall to fetch her plate. Aggie would understand, and soon he would return with a special tray she had made up.
Ealora: She knew Shaden had been in this bed, with him. She was trying hard to forget it, trying hard to move on when it did in fact make her feel sick to her stomach once more. Slowly she sat up and leaned back against the headboard, pulling the covers with her. Her chin dipped, her eyes falling away from his own. "Yes..I know he did. He wanted me to marry him, said he would let you live but I didn't want him, I am married..to you and I want no other, besides I saw the look on his face when you came at him. He is frightened of you. Terrified of you. I..disagree, I do not think he is stupid enough to follow after me..with you around."Her head rose to watch him searching for his slippers. Where had they gone anyway's? She had not seen them since their return yesterday. Wasn't like him to go without them at home. Arms curled around her knees as she pulled them up to her chest beneath the covers as he left. Her chin dipped to rest upon her arm as he slipped from the room. Hell, if they didn't find the darned slippers by morning she would buy him a new pair for the yule season.
